I realize (correct me if I'm wrong, please) most of this game's players are male, but that's no excuse. Women in warfare need to be protected just as much as men; somehow I doubt Joan of Arc rode into battle with her navel exposed, fashion be hanged.
@ZOS_JasonLeavey
Here's a serious ESO live question:
Has any consideration been given toward closing this 123 page thread, and instead, creating a new thread, with the episode number, and future air date in the title, for each new ESO live episode?
---End of question---
If this has not yet been considered, I would like to suggest doing just that, in a heavily moderated thread, in which every post was a question directed to ZOS, or an answer from ESO live, as it pertains to the current game.
I believe this was the original intent of this thread.
It would be nice to get back on track, in a new set of threads, by keeping the questions, and removing all answer / comment posts that do not come directly from ZOS. If this comes to pass, the thread could be reasonably updated, by ZOS, with answers to those questions, and then closed, after the episode has aired.
I believe this would address three factors:
Most players would probably prefer to search here for "Official answers" to their questions.
Most players would also probably prefer to post here, hoping their question would not be buried under the non-official answers from random community members.
ZOS staff would have an easier time finding relevant questions for the "ESO Live: Ask Us Anything" segment.
Additional benefit: This may also cure the seemingly profound need by, no doubt, well meaning players to answer questions that are not directed at them.
Valid, official answers, from ZOS, are too difficult to find. Can we get that fixed in a series of threads, like I suggested?

What would be useful is to have a thread that only ZOS could post in which was filled with the answers that people might be looking for. For example, question responses have sometimes been posted in this thread after ESO Live AUA sessions (such as this one). If these could be kept separately, they could be referred to easily by newcomers (because there wouldn't be question spam) and people asking questions that have already been answered could be referred there directly.
Sadly this habit seems to have fallen by the wayside somewhat...

Is there any talk about making health a worthwhile stat? It's required for tanks, but scales exceptionally poorly, offering up nothing more than a deeper pool of effective HP that a healer can heal. How about potentially making health regeneration a % instead of a flat numeric value?
Hybrid builds are unattractive. Content difficulty has reached the point where hybrids perform incredibly poorly compared to maximum stam or magicka builds. Hybrid DPSers/Healers are currently unable to provide a meaningful amount of damage or healing to the team leaving them far behind the metrics the developer team has put in place for designing content difficulty. Is this on anyone's radar?
The amount of available armor penetration in the game is traumatic to heavy armor users in PVP. Heavy Armor passives are very, very lackluster in this regard compared to LA and MA. Potential rework and changing the values coming in for HA?

Done and done
Sorry for not posting it yesterday. I got home and crashed on my couch for a good long while and forgot about this (it's been a long long week IRL).

I hear ya, but sadly even if Zenimax did do this newcomers would still overlook it and ask their questions anyway lolusmcjdking wrote: »Is there anything on the horizon for S&B updates? It is long overdue for some tuning.

It has actually been suggested before that Health have a cumulative effect on Defense as well, and frankly I kind of agree with that suggestion. Personally though I like having a lot of Health to make me less squishy even if it has no alternate influence like Magicka and Stamina do.
While your point on hybrids is valid it all boils down to playing your way no matter what. Those that are swayed by the pursuit of power that the meta and competitive players go for tend to abandon this for sure due to specializing being more, well, specialized lol but yeah I don't think there is much that can be done about hybrid builds because you technically take from one to give to the other and that has always been the way hybrid builds have been in just about any MMORPG. Who knows though, maybe Zenimax will surprise us lol
I've actually thought about how much people rely on Armor and Spell Penetration myself lately and in many cases the penetration bonuses are % based. I'd say a good way to help counter this is make Damage Shields ignore penetration. Armor Penetration isn't really as cumulative as Spell Penetration because Nirnhoned gives Spell Penetration in larger quantity than Sharpened gives both penetrations. Perhaps it would be prudent to make a trait that can block a certain % of penetration though? I honestly think Sturdy could benefit from doing this because let's face it nobody cares about reduced durability damage lol

I think everyone is on board for a general Health rework. It's not bad but the returns on it generally suck.
Hybrid builds could be fixed by reducing the amount per (max stat here) provides IRT to wep/spell damage & power. 75% is probably close to the right number as it will still put hybrids below the raw numbers produced by dedicated builds but increase their overall effectiveness as a majority of weapon/spell damage is still produced by set bonuses and legendary weapons.
This is a serious issue that plagued Neverwinter. It eventually broke the game beyond repair. It needs to be addressed and reduced long prior to the breaking point.

I did, but I did it day-by-day and week-by-week rather than having to come at the whole 124 pages in one go, looking for staff posts which are comparatively rare in between player questions, conversations and spam.
I could certainly understand why someone would rather just post their question instead of checking through that lot to see if it had been asked/answered before.
A separate thread would consolidate the answers we have been given... and perhaps give ZOS a chance to produce the missing AUA answer posts as well. Much less daunting.
Will all of Tamriel be added eventually
