Will the XP for things not questing related be buffed to add variety of leveling options? Such as 4 man dungeons, crafting, PVP, exploration. All of these seem like optional diversions with questing is the only viable option to get XP efficiently.
I'm kind of a small deal!

Would it ever be possible to play without joining any of the alliances? Those who want to play neutral characters would like this. Maybe make them able to be mercenaries?

Mercenaries would fight for one side. They fought for money, but they were not free agents, they were paid to fight for a side, and were bound by to that side until the war was over.

As a general rule mercenaries that changed sides were not trusted, and given the missions that would get most of them killed. Mercenaries didn't swap sides constantly, as no-one would employ fighter without some code of conduct.

Hmm, I see. Maybe something else then than mercenary?

.. A hired blade, perhaps? Or is that exactly the same as mercenary?

    I am confused now.

Eh, anyway, just being able to play and go everywhere without belonging into an alliance would be neat, especially in RP sense. If you would like to PvP maybe you could go running around as a neutral..?

EDIT: And another question! Would it be possible to add Vivec Arena in game for some 1v1, 3v3 and 5v5 PvP fun?

Will rare motifs ever be added as rewards for crafting writs?

Hired Blade is an ambigous term, it covered Mercenaries and Guards (like what merchants used, or travelling noble's bodyguards). But guards were generally in continous employment (they were either with the merchant/noble constantly, or got hired by another as soon as possible to avoid trouble with city guards).

Not sure there is a believable way for a player to be completely neutral.

The idea isn't a bad one, just not quite right for the way ESO is set up.

People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!
    Wizard's first rule
    Passion rules reason
    Wizard's third rule
Mind what people Do, not what they say, for actions betray a lie.
    Wizard's fifth rule
Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self
    Wizard's tenth rule

    1. When are Shields going to be dyable?
    2. Also can we have metallic style dyes for our weapons, some of the colours we get are off-putting, and we would like to dye them colours we can live with?
    3. When can we craft jewellery?
    4. Will we ever get a barbershop, so we can change hairstyles and maybe tatoos and scars.

they already said barbershop will arrive in future..

Hello and thank you for doing this. I have two main question:

1: Backlash and its morphs cannot currently surpass their listed cap with critical hits, is this intended? Along those lines, there have been several posts about the efficacy of various templar skills and resource regeneration (or lack-thereof), what can we look forward to short-term, long term? Please give us some specifics.

2: There was mention of abilities with effects that were "too powerful for this creature" getting some tweaks so that they had some effect, either a lesser one, or entirely different, on said creatures. (For example: Eclipse and Blinding Light from templar and encase on Sorcerers).
Also, what should Templars expect from Update 1.6 with respect to the Dawn's Wrath skill line overhaul?

    EDIT: @Csub for President!

What's the ETA/plan for really new content?
As in real new zones, not only a couple new quests reusing existing locations/dungeons like we had with the Undaunted stuff.

Why don't you 1) auto-collect more information when we /bug and 2) allow us to provide more? For example, allow attaching of our own screenshots since the /bug UI typically removes the example of the issue or the issue is gone so quickly.

Joining one of the bandit factions in Cyrodiil would work in terms of a story-based proposal, with the goal of looting soldiers as your "daily" bounty. This would make the Fighter's Guild bounty missions more interesting/they could be expanded, with more XP for more notorious raiders (justice system tie-in). No AP since you aren't in an Alliance.

Of course, this may still be a problem in other ways besides a offering a feasible story-based scenario in terms of balancing such a "fourth faction". Cyrodill is based on a three way battle for control, and bandits/raiders have no interest in that.

In PvP there is an achievement gap. There is a steady progression of achievements for a while, then a gap where the next things to work toward (other than new Alliance ranks) start to dry up. At one point you are left with only a few remaining non-rank achievements, such as 100 million damage or 100 million healing.

Are there plans for any new "early to mid-range" achievements?

On a related note, what about crafting writs (and associated achievements) for supplying the war effort that are given/completed in Cyrodiil?
