Favorite NPC one-liners?

I like most of the comments of the Augur - like those remarks about argonian architecture - when sealing a time breach in the SE of Shadowfen. The Augur is actually quite likable, I could imagine having quite a good time with the voice actor in a pub.

I spent several months pulling my hair out with home renovation. At one point, i had had enough and decided to escape into ESO for the afternoon. I logged in and as soon as my toon opened up in one of the cities, an NPC walked up to her and asked,
"How's your renovation going?"

haha, I didn't encounter it yet - well, we are not riding a lot, maybe that is why.

I like as well the philosophical statement "wasting time is an important part of life" - it has quite some truth to it, IMO.

I am AROX THE MUTILATOR!!!! I love that guy i want it so bad as a pet or companion even!!!! HIM i could listen to and laugh all day!

If he did nothing but melee attacks and no gear or abilities id still rock him as companion that makes me laugh

yeah i would love arox and the augur of the obscure as pets/non-combat companions

He says it in the middle of a village burned down by Shalks too, with citizens displaced, in danger, and in need of medicine.

Also for those people wishing they could hear the Augur again, he's available as a furnishing memento/memento.

Also Rigurt The Brash... idk why he talks sentences as Khajiit, "Rigurt this, Rigurt that...", idk he had some brain damage, he has been raised by Khajiit or whatever. What I know is he seems has traveled through many places, I've found notes, scripts and books around Tamriel, I think that character is quite fun and interesting.

Inside the Divine Sanctum set-crafting area in Grahtwood stands an Orc named Agstarg.

Agstarg:
"There's an old Orcish saying about shields.
"I don't remember what it is, I'm just saying. There's an old Orcish saying. Buy a shield."

Player:
"Do you sell shields?"

Agstarg:
"No."

Mirri got a pretty good one by complete coincidence. I can't remember the exact location, but there is a quest area where the enemies are some particularly vocal ghosts. It went like this:
Ghost: "I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!" (or something to that effect)
Mirri: (unfazed) "Alright, but don't go crying to mummy".
