Justice system sugestion (Addition) - Killing Other players in PVE.

Since this post has gone a little (much, way tooooo much) offtopic, if you want to comment & discuss the justice system please go to this thread:

The aim here was to discuss an other kind of PVP in the PVE areas, not debate about the implementation of the Justice system (which seemed awesome to me and IMO didn't need to be discussed ;) ).

So, an upcoming patch will include a justice system, being able to kill NPCs, the possibility of going to jail, being hunted by guards, etc etc.

What about other players?

I remember when I was young and played MU Online, one had the possibility to attack other players. If you killed too many, you became hunted for a period of time (it took a lot of time to log out and the timer would stop untill you reconected again).
While being an Outlaw, any other player/group of players could kill you without penalties and get a special Title by doing so.

Ofc there should be limitations so that a VR12 doesn't go to a level 1-10 area & burns it to the ground, there should also be some incentive to become an outlaw and to killing outlaws (other than the title), like get a copy of a piece of gear the person has (with limitations to avoid duplicating rare dropables) or maybe a special "outlaw" and "justiciar" skill line.

A lot of things could be done and be fun. I think it could be entertaining to have such a system for maybe VR ranks.

    PvP should not happen in PvE zones except if somewhere in the future they add some kind of Arena there.

    I think PVP should hapen in PVE zones to make the game more ESO like :). If you can kill NPCs why not players?

    Looks like a lot of fun. Now everyone is killing people which annoys him. So noone will get through Cyrodiil. Sounds like an improvement.

    You will kill someone that anoys you and then 10 people will hunt you down, so many people will choose not to. It was rare to see people hunting people in MU Online still it hapened and it was a rush runing for your life or killing Player Killers.

    Personally I might have a thing with my pretty pixels and I don't want to see them in any way "harassed" by anyone else. Hence I stay in PvE areas, or if there was one, I would choose a pure PvE server.

    There are options if you want PvP of any kind, please use them. Justice system or not or whatever, nope, no fighting of any kind in PvE areas between players. Maybe I could accept a "duels" system, between consenting players.

    PvP in PvE areas ends with loads of peeved lower level players being killed by some oik, set on griefing as many people as possible day after day. With no chance to defend themselves, it becomes irritating very quickly and will cause people to leave.

    I kinda assumed this was supposed to be part of it. They said you could steal and kill NPCs - didn't they say other players could be guards or something? I can't remember where the relatively vague overview of the system was, but it sorta sounded like there would be a sort of bounty thing brought into PvE. Which wouldn't turn into people getting ganked all over the place and unwanted PvP, really, as long as you're not killing all the NPCs and taking their stuff. I actually think it would be very cool if they could implement that in a pseudo duel sorta fashion. If you wanted you could get on the wrong side of the law and potentially be looking over your shoulder all the time for threats.

    Read please, I said: "With limitations so taht VR 12 doesn't go burn level 1-10 areas" "Maybe only for VR areas", you can also make it so you can only engage players in your range ( + and - 5 levels from player level)

    Ok let's put bit more thoughts in.

    If something like this would be implemented it would have to be so that people can flag themselves pkillable so you will not be able to kill just any random person. How do you then know if other person is having this flag or not, dunno.

    Or once you commit enough crimes by stealing vendors, killing npcs you will get the pk flag and then any player can choose if to engage to pk which of course would raise their pk flag for some time.

    I know the evil idea deep behind this is to troll and make kids rage by randomly attacking them while they are unexpecting and questing. I've played MUDs too specifically MUD where only safe zone was town and not even there if you had pkflag on. Everywhere else was open pk and you had to check all the time who were online while exping since if specific people were online the game turns from exping for levels to pking rest of the night.

    Let people who like to PvE in peace do so and people who like to PvP do so in their own zone.

    You respawn at the wayshrine and go take your revenge or do an other dungeon in an other area or team up with Heroes who hunt player killers. For each Player Killer you have 10 people eager to end them. I bet you're one of those players who asked for VR zones nerf.

    Some good ideas, still people that kill PKers are Heroes, not PKers (IMO). Braging Rights => Hunt Pkers.

    I haven't seen them confirm that it is optional. They said that you could join the guards to fight crime so that and the decision to steal may provide an opt in but I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere.

    Have you got a source @Laura because I would like more info on that.

    If you get attacked by other players, then you can defend yourself & kill them. So what will be the limitation afterwards for those outlaws to keep killing players?

    Paul just said something about helping or joining the guards in preventing crime as being the light PvP part of the justice system. I'm hoping guild with a skill line that is either or to the Thieves Guild but no info on it.

    Makes game less dull, more exiting, less Hello Kitty like? Now that VR content is a joke there won't be any more challenge in the game....
