Because that's what is happening with others. Like people are being banned for joking with friends in private chat. And it's not only stuff like slurs either. People got banned for telling off bosses or make risque jokes to friends.

So the new Tome feature appears to just be a standard run of the mill battle pass. Those are all fine and well but they’re typically used in games that don’t have a subscription model. Having this not be automatically unlocked for ESO+ subscribers is kinda of a bad look for the game and comes off as a bit greedy honestly. It’s really a stark contrast with the rest of the recent changes which have been largely focused on earning back player goodwill. I have no problem with spending money on this game in order to support it, and the Divines know I have over the years, but this isn’t the way, at least not in my view.

I think a reason to want to grind it out fast would be if you just want it to be over with. I have no immediate desire to play in the 3 specific zones but I need to if I want the Tome progress. It's really a time sink away from what I'd rather be doing.

I love favors, rumors and dynamic encounters - I've never really been into the "follow the marker through the rat maze" model of things, which is far from unique to ESO but is very present here, and giving players something that actually makes them think is really awesome. Rumors reminds me of the card clues from Tales of Tribute, where you could actually figure out where things were just by reading. And the treasure maps too, of course. I love those moments. I would also love more different kinds of puzzles and it sounds like that might be happening as well with the Sage's Vault.

I love the class mastery system. Even though I'm a huge fan of subclassing, I also think it's a great way to support single-class players.

Been loving the class changes you've been making, and the weapon changes as well. The only thing here that I would like to request is additional weapon styles which don't use new weapons/art, like one-hand with a magical off-hand, martial staff, etc.

All of the coming sea-based content looks super cool too, love the new Thieves' Guild stuff as that was one of my favorite questlines...but most importantly for me is Overland Difficulty which will finally make that part of the game fun for me to play. I really can't stress enough how much this means to me. It's the reason I'm here on the forum. So thank you. And related to that, solo dungeons are also quite welcome! It always bugged me that I could never really get a handle on the story if I was in the group.

Outside the bubble, ESO is the most notorious for the worst combat in any MMO.
Just go read anywhere outside bubble in the last 10 years, and it's almost always that the combat is the ranked as the worst aspect of the game.
It goes like this "I would play ESO / I tried it but combat is horrible" or similar adjectives.

For me personally, combat is mostly terrible (LA weaing is just one part), and that doesn't include just playing as DD - tanking is even worse. Probably the worst aspect of game (excluding hundreds bugs) for me.

People who never experience another combat system than the old school WoW/lotro (or similar "long cooldown" snore fest combat) are usually the ones complaining about ESO´s combat. For what reason I can´t say. I personally love it and think it´s one of the best ones out there. The echo chambers of reddit or other MMO forums are similar "bubbles" as the ones you claim the ESO population lives in.

ESO´s combat system at its core is fine and honestly one of the best one in the MMO market.

For everything in game dungeons, trials, arenas, public dungeons, etc in a zone count as a subzone of that zone. They counted for prior endeavors/challenges, they count for a chance at overland loot drops, leads, etc. Them not counting for this challenge is either a bug or a really crummy change, especially since it does not specify that they are meant to be excluded. If they're meant to be excluded, they need to at least say does not include subzones.

Indeed, imps in AA have dropped nirncrux for ages. That means AA, while a separate instance from overland, is considered part of the Craglorn zone.

The last 2 years of jubilee have been very lackluster in my opinion. There are more ways to get boxes but the rewards you get from them are significantly nerfed. I used to be excited for it but honestly the last two years I just do my writs and then log off for the day.

The model it was up until two years ago was great. Sure you could only get the boxes from dailies, but the rewards were great. Materials came in bigger stacks and motifs seemed to drop more from boxes.

I feel like the change was made to get people to do more then just writs during jubilee but for me personally it actually has a had the opposite effect. I used to go around and do a bunch of world boss, delve, and cyrodill story dailies each day on top of my writs but now I just do my writs and log off for the day. The rewards just aren’t worth more effort than that.

Not sure if I’m alone in this, but going forward I’d like to see it reverted back to the older model of obtaining boxes and rewards from those boxes. It was much more exciting then.

The only reason for such challenges to exist (and not counting delves/dungeons/trials) is for a slide for the monthly management meeting of how great the decision was to add these zones to the base game and how player engagement was extremely high.

I have basically seen constant complaining in zone chat and my group chat how tedious this is. Yeah we have still 90 days to complete this, but ESO players have been conditioned over the years to complete daily/weekly/endeavors as soon as possible. So it makes sense everybody jumps on this day 1.

Daggerfall takes place way after ESO does (3rd era compared to ESO's 2nd era), so maybe the city hasnt been built yet.

They have just released exactly those 3 zones for free (resp. added them to the base game), so this seasonal task is probably meant as a tie-in to that, for players who now begin those zone stories for the first time.

Just like the last seasonal task they added was clearly related to the current event.

I suspect them to continue exactly like that: Weeklies will likely be randomized, seasonals will be the same for everyone and not able to be rerolled, and relate to current events, newly released systems, etc.
