Is this the removal of Veteran Ranks?! (DARK BROTHERHOOD NEWS)

    Vote-kick is OK and opens the way for bonuses to needed roles in the random dungeon selector. Giving a bonus to rewards for tanks when they are in short supply, for example, but being able to /kick those who fraudently queue as a tank just to get a group. This can be further balanced and made more positive by adding a commendation/rec system wherein each party member can commend one other group member at the end of a run with a random group. Plenty of time to slip those additional features in before the update goes live on PC, right? :)

    (Oh, and how about getting an extra reward of gold and add in a bonus to raising the undaunted skill line for doing five randoms in a day or something like that?)

    I'm too eager to find out how the champion system will fully work as a vet lvl replacement, also will enemies stay on their respective vet lvls?

    Example: Will the daedra and soldiers of imperial city still be vet 16? will enemies in craglorn still be vet 11? Will enemies in cadwell's silver and gold still have their respective vet lvls? Or will they all be downscaled to 50?

    Some one please confirm?

    I think vet removal is going mess this game all up. To many things are tied into vet ranks. How are you going to balance that? I've never played MMO that removed a big part of there game like this. Good luck Zen with this.

    Clarification on the Char expansion slots thou, does that mean i'll be able to make my own guild bank finally??? :D

    Its easy, just don't remove anything, RENAME it. vr16 will be 160CP and so on.

    Poison-making - well that is a relief, I just hope I can use those on my bow as well and finally apply "slow" to my targets, before I charge in to kill them. Crafting bag will help me out a lot as well. More character slots could be nice, if they are not overpriced. Have in mind, ZOS; that your game is available for 22€ on sales and provides 8 character slots, so stay reasonable with your pricing for additional slots.

    Edit. I wonder as well what kind of hats we will see - there is a huge variety of hats possible - but a lot go hand in hand with hairstyles - so I am a bit worried, that this might not be taken into account with this. Example, this hat would not go well without the proper hairstyle with it.

    Yes to offering rewards for roles filled but let's think about it for a sec .....if ppl are choosing roles they can't fulfill now, the effects of adding bonuses for those roles results in more kicks and longer waits cause ppl will choose the bonus role (let's say a dps choosing healer or tank) and had not skills or gear for either....vote to kick....now we wait, and wait, and wait...


    I do think something else can help but is it a Grouping tool change or a ZOS change to existing skills and their effectiveness in grouping? I have theories and ideas....

    Commendation/Rec system- NO. Flat out No. That's what the kick is for, if u do good, you stay and don't get kicked.

    Good, it's one of those things that just make sense and add-on creators had already stepped in to fix. While you're at it: Advanced Filters? Awesome Guild Store? Alpha Gear? Those all should be in the base game for PC/Mac and consoles alike.

The tiny icons you get at crafting stations are pitiful as a way to see what gear will look like on your character. Let us dress up and equip our characters with mock gear from any level/style/weight combination with a full 3d model of our character similar to the one in the character selection screen.

    Sanctum Ophidia Trial scaling, rebalancing and the addition of a Normal and Veteran mode
    So will you be making it kind of like Maw of Lorkhaj, where the vet version is very hard and the normal version is tough, but beatable by moderatly good groups? Also, will the gear drops scale to max level? If so, why just SO and not AA/Hel-Ra/DSA?
    Balance improvements to combat and gameplay abilities including the Fighters Guild skill line, Vampires and stamina abilities

    You are going to test them thoroughly on the PTS, aren't you? Also, whoever is "balancing" skills is actually playing the game, aren't they?

    I love your ideas @tinythinker but I don't agree that a vote-kick system won't help with fake tanks. If the tank isn't really a tank, do you think it's going to be that hard to have the others in the group agree with you?

    i really dont want vet ranks to go... we've had them for too long to add a bug free experience from something like this.

    I don't want to welcome the unbalanced changes and CP oriented gear.

    Why the heck are so many against well-fitted?- I like this trait, maybe it is not that useful on higher levels, but at lower levels it allows me to sprint for more than double the time than without it, with all 7 armor pieces made well-fitted.

    Sorry, but I didn't say vote-kick needed anything else, but that vote-kick was necessary in order to have a feature like bonuses for roles in demand at any given time for the random dungeon queue.

    I've thought about it plenty. You already wait, wait, wait because people are either not running as tanks or they fake it and then the group is stuck with them unless crown dumps them. One player chooses whether the fraud stays. And what if the fake tank got the crown when the random group was made? With a bonus for playing less common roles, more people will want to queue for it, but with vote kick frauds are weeded out. There won't just be more frauds wanting the bonuses but people actually wanting to tank, so, frauds learn they will get kicked (fewer of them) and legit tanks become more common so that groups form faster.

    Commendation/Rec system- NO. Flat out No. That's what the kick is for, if u do good, you stay and don't get kicked.
    You don't have to like it or want it, but other players do. "Not getting kicked" isn't a reward, and I and other players tired of elitism will refuse to run in a group of stuck up players who think it is. Recs are nice ways to appreciate and encourage other players. If a commendation system is added you don't have to use it when the run ends, just hiss at the rest of your group that they are lucky none of them got kicked as your way of recognizing their effort. :tongue: Believe it or not, some people want to be friendly, helpful, and kind to other players they run with in random dungeons :)

    Wowow removal of veteran ranks? (And Im working so hard to get to veteran 16...) So what veteran 16 will instead be normal level 66 instead?

    This could be interesting, but I'm curious about balancing. If you can do massive poison damage together with hard-hitting abilities - think stealthy NB snipe spammer ganker - it could become yet another issue in PvP.
    Toggle-able nameplates for all characters
    Character name display for Xbox One and PlayStation®4
    Meh. Not going to use it myself, but I guess it can't hurt that others can enable it. The console thing seems to be good news, they've been playing for close to a year with their character names rendered meaningless.
    Item locking to help prevent accidental deconstruction of your most valuable items
    Good, it's one of those things that just make sense and add-on creators had already stepped in to fix. While you're at it: Advanced Filters? Awesome Guild Store? Alpha Gear? Those all should be in the base game for PC/Mac and consoles alike.
    Further improvements and new features to the Grouping Tool including a group ready check, vote-to-kick system, and updated queue timer
    Will you be removing the ability for the leader to disband the group? Please do.
    Tons of updates to the Crown Store including additional character slots, motif previews, and hats
    Character slots are the first thing I see that actually makes sense in the Crown Store. Should have been the first thing there. Don't know if I'll use them, but at least it's not texture packs applied on the same old 3d models. Also, while you're working on previews, PLEASE introduce a full-blown item preview system. The tiny icons you get at crafting stations are pitiful as a way to see what gear will look like on your character. Let us dress up and equip our characters with mock gear from any level/style/weight combination with a full 3d model of our character similar to the one in the character selection screen.

    Are you removing well-fitted from the game? You are removing it, aren't you? Aren't you? Also, are you removing staffs with tanky set bonuses and heavy armour with DPS set bonuses from the loot tables?

    Sanctum Ophidia Trial scaling, rebalancing and the addition of a Normal and Veteran mode
    So will you be making it kind of like Maw of Lorkhaj, where the vet version is very hard and the normal version is tough, but beatable by moderatly good groups? Also, will the gear drops scale to max level? If so, why just SO and not AA/Hel-Ra/DSA?
    Balance improvements to combat and gameplay abilities including the Fighters Guild skill line, Vampires and stamina abilities

    You are going to test them thoroughly on the PTS, aren't you? Also, whoever is "balancing" skills is actually playing the game, aren't they?
    In addition, we have numerous changes and improvements for previous DLC game packs including a new District capture system for Imperial City, and rebalancing for the Imperial City dungeons.
    So, WGT and ICP nerf confirmed?

    Why the heck are so many against well-fitted?- I like this trait, maybe it is not that useful on higher levels, but at lower levels it allows me to sprint for more than double the time than without it, with all 7 armor pieces made well-fitted.
    ... because its a useless trait other than "low level" lol I mean you answered that yourself

    And that means you guys want it removed, because it just benefits low levels?- What a selfish point of view, be ashamed that you even laugh about it.

    Where did I say remove it, I don't believe I said that, what's with the odd claim like that. I called it useless which it is, and ZOS noticed a lot of people had said that and so you have this;

    There's no denying it's useless apart from what you just said, and if you think that is fine to leave it as it is, then I don't know what to tell you.
    There is currently only 3 desired traits in game: Divines, Impenetrable and Reinforced (to a point). I'm glad ZOS are adjusting to give us more choices to whatever they will be.

    I love your ideas @tinythinker but I don't agree that a vote-kick system won't help with fake tanks. If the tank isn't really a tank, do you think it's going to be that hard to have the others in the group agree with you?
    Eh, @MissBizz ? I'm saying that it will. My idea is that we can give bonuses in an auto-generated system where the LFG tool says "Hmm, we could make 15 groups right not if we had tanks for them" and then have it put up a notice in the random dungeon finder screen where the reward section offered a bonus for tanks. In other words, that reward-for-understaffed-role system would be awful right now because of frauds and randomness of who gets crown, but with the vote-kick in place frauds will diminish as legit tanks (or healers, or whatever is in short supply in the meta of the moment) increase. It's NewBlackSmurf who doesn't think these ideas would work well, or so he/she said in a response to my suggestion. :)
