"Don't buy it, you don't have to".
    Blah blah blah blah.
Oh for christs sake, put a cork in it.

You're getting ripped off... plain and simple.

Not if you don't buy it. I like Ferraris, but they are more money than I want to spend so I don't own one. It's simple really - you can't have everything for free.

Are you seriously comparing changing a character's makeup to a Ferrari?

As a subscriber I would prefer that minor tweaks such as hair colour be for in game gold. I would *prefer* not to be gouged for an inferior product. There is zero reason that the minorest of tweaks be bundled with complete physical character changes.

What ZOS is doing is charging you the price of a Ferrari for what is essentially an oil change.

Yes I am comparing the two and it is a perfectly valid comparison. If you do not see the value in the product offered (be it the price, the quality, or both) - don't buy it. You don't need to *** and moan about it, just don't buy it.

Which makes me wonder why Revlon doesn't price their hair care products at 200k to 1 million apiece.

    *thinks*

If they could and have people buy it, they 100% would. It's not about the actual dollar figure, it's about the VALUE of the product vs. the dollar figure.

The market dictates that Revlon cannot charge that much, and the same will hold true for the crown store.

If no one buys at the price offered, the price will go down until it starts selling - or it will fail and go off the market completely. It's how economics work. Supply and demand.

Ur 100% wrong. ZOS can put a price tag of 100usd to get player housing and u guys will still buy it. ZOS know very well that most of the ESO subbed players are blindly loyal to the game and they will defend it to the end.

Enuf with theese posts already.. u are not forced to buy anything in this game.. U could have made a proper looking char with a proper name from the start.. Stop the Q.Qing about crown store prices.. *makes puking noice* Deal with the choices u made at first or pay the darn price if ur unhappy with it..

Edit: Or even better.. Stop playing if ur so unsatisfied about everything in this game..

Changing hair colour, eye colour, beard etc are all things that people like to do for FUN.

LOTRO is Free To Play and from the get-go I can take my character to an actual barbershop in game, sit down, and change my hair and eye colour for a mere pittance. This = immersion. Paying 10$ per minor tweak, which does nothing but take you back to what is essentially character creation, is NOT immersive, takes away from the fun, and is a cheap excuse to gouge players.

You are not a superior person just because YOU want to keep an unchanging character forever.

    Go play LOTRO then?

Was it like 2500 crowns just to change a character name.

I have an Argonian character who I thought might be better if I gave her an Argonian style name. When I saw how expensive it is I though....I don't want it that much.

I know ZoS is a business and needs to make money but...ouch...

I'd buy even a piece of poo if it had an official Elder Scrolls tag in it. I'd pay $500 for that castle in Daggerfall. I'd do anything ZOS told me to. I love ZOS. Elder Scrolls is life.

That said, I'm not happy with prices and yes, yes I know I'm part of the problem for feeding their selling behaviour...

    Just two considerations for ZOS:

    * Maniacs wealthy fan boys like me are super rare.
    * You can still make outlandish profits by selling amounts (since it cost nothing to produce many virtual items) and having good price (people love cheap stuff). That will give you both wealth and happy costumers!

I was hoping there was going to be more to the Barber shop like an actual in game location and npc to talk to, some interaction, I figured they might do some basic things in the shop for in game gold, then have special styles for crowns, was disappointed that the entire barber idea turned into a sterile crown store transaction.

I hope when housing arrives it is something other than all through the crown store, if they do they are missing a huge oppritunity to have a much needed sandbox element in the game. I can see items in the crown store like a house wamring package, but I also hope they start putting in game drops as well more reasons to get out and play the game.

I have a sneaky feeling that with the name change going to One Tamriel, the last time we had a name change the game went to buy to play, I think we might be going to free to play, I am not against a for profit company making profit, but what I am against is just everything going into the store and nothing getting added to the game to keep me playing and active.
