    Blah blah blah blah.
Oh for christs sake, put a cork in it.

You're getting ripped off... plain and simple.

Not if you don't buy it. I like Ferraris, but they are more money than I want to spend so I don't own one. It's simple really - you can't have everything for free.

Are you seriously comparing changing a character's makeup to a Ferrari?

As a subscriber I would prefer that minor tweaks such as hair colour be for in game gold. I would *prefer* not to be gouged for an inferior product. There is zero reason that the minorest of tweaks be bundled with complete physical character changes.

What ZOS is doing is charging you the price of a Ferrari for what is essentially an oil change.

Yes I am comparing the two and it is a perfectly valid comparison. If you do not see the value in the product offered (be it the price, the quality, or both) - don't buy it. You don't need to *** and moan about it, just don't buy it.

Which makes me wonder why Revlon doesn't price their hair care products at 200k to 1 million apiece.

    *thinks*

If they could and have people buy it, they 100% would. It's not about the actual dollar figure, it's about the VALUE of the product vs. the dollar figure.

The market dictates that Revlon cannot charge that much, and the same will hold true for the crown store.

If no one buys at the price offered, the price will go down until it starts selling - or it will fail and go off the market completely. It's how economics work. Supply and demand.

They aren't a charity of course, but they don't run their business smartly.

ZOS is running their business smartly.

I'd imagine that it takes some good measure of effort to design these amazing looking crafting motifs. IMO the new alliance crafting motifs add an amazing level of quality to this game. It's true that its not cheap but imo it is a fair price for what you get. In a perfect world I would have been able to get all three of these new motifs at once but in reality I had to make a choice on which I should buy first. This adds value. Flooding these items into the population decreases its value.

EDIT: btw ZOS we ARE with you!

The simple reality here is that it doesn't matter how much I understand economics. I do understand enough to know that whining about prices doesn't change prices.

Numbers change prices. Specifically how many are buying and how many are abstaining.
If enough people are buying the product no amount of whining will change those prices. It's wasted effort and stress.

Buy or don't buy, that's how this argument will be decided.

I am so sick and tired of the logically bankrupt notion that people shouldn't be allowed to not only not be happy when a business takes advantage of them, but shouldn't be allowed to complain, and even worse shouldn't expect the company to change their business practices if they're detrimental to their customers!

The ability to directly affect the bottom line of a corporation or company is your one and only tool to force these companies to be more responsive to their customers wants and needs. And yes, they DO listen, because without their customers they cease to exist!

I don't see it as greedy however they could have just as easily made it a quest or like the OP said have it cost gold. They could have it not cost so much however, that might be a little greedy. ESPECIALLY since those of us who played during the original early access couldn't make the faces we wanted because the camera had no zoom but I didn't expect them to reimburse us even though it made sense.

What really does suck though is we are currently still penalized almost for using this new Style Parlor because we can't start groups if you change anything about yourself, you're bugged the hell out.

@ZOS_GinaBruno any word on this bug? I changed my magblade into a Breton and now he cannot start groups. This fixed today or???

Come on, Zos! Charging us real life money to change our appearance? To charge us real life money for changing our hairstyles because were getting bored with the current style that our avatars has already? To charge us to purchase dyes? To even go as far as to charge us real life money to change our in-game names?!?!?!??!?! Wow just WOW! How low can your company go??!??!! This is coming from someone who is subscribed to ESO Plus so I'm not just asking for a free handout because I'm financially supporting you already. This does not encourage me to further financially support your company when you do stuffs like this because it's a sign of greed. Even Rockstar wouldn't go this far below in their current golden game (GTA V/Online).

Instead of charging us real life money for these why not allow us to use our gold to get a hair cut or to change our appearance? Heck back in Skyrim each time we want to change our appearance (non vampire) all we had to do is go to Riften in the The Ragged Flagon, and speak with the woman Altmer (Galathil), and give her 1000 gold each time we want to change our appearance. Why not do the same in this game? Each time we want to change our appearance we need to speak with a NPC, and give him/her 1,000 gold for each appearance change? Why must you charge us real life money for it?

Dude I'm with you 100%. I sub also but after that was thinking man I shouldn't any longer. I also agree with you that they shouldn't be charging real money to change what you look like. I can understand maybe race change and that's a big fat MAYBE. Maybe to make more people sub they could have offered those options for free to ppl who sub and more ppl would be like damn those who sub get a lot of stuff for "free" that I have to keep paying for. I also think there should be more things given to ppl who sub for free. God only knows what they are going to charge for housing when they release that. I can see an easy 5000 crown to get a small tent.

I would have liked an option ingame.

But consider this before you get too mad:

ZOS has almost no valuable items to sell in crown shop.
    Why?

Because they promised us they would never put something in shop that you cant get ingame or make yourself even better items from ingame.
Like all the potions they sell? Better ones ingame!
Like xp Potions they sell? you can craft them ingame (half the time - but still!)
    Skill reset?
    Riding lessons?

    and so on...

There are NO overpowered items in the shop.
There is no wonder weapon or anything at all that gives an "goldplayer" a real advantage over someone who isnt investing real money.

So yes. I am kind of okay with them selling these new Tokens in shop for that high price.
If you really want to change the way your characters look - pay for it.

Something has to pay the bills, ya know? No money no game. Or worse - they will sell it to someone like *********(put in a company you know from other games, im sure everyone knows at least one of those bloodsuckers) who will put Powerstones in shop that give you 20% more attack. And Hero Armour for no critical Dmg anymore...and so on.

    Create your character carefully.

Save up your membership Crowns for a change.

Or if non-premium: Pay ONCE! the game is free!

Now: go back to be mad...but not so much? :)

It's never worked properly. They either don't know how to fix it or cannot be bothered as it won't be something they can sell for crowns. Either way, to have a multiplayer game with no built-in ability to group up is very rubbish. Yes, you can manually find groups, but the game must have a working group finder. If you are not active in many guilds it is basically a single player game at the moment.

We live in a world of entitlement gaming.

GIVE ME NO SUB - Ok no sub but a lot of crown store items so we can continue to make money to continue to make this game.

OMG CROWN STORE STUFF COST ME MONEY QQ...

ESO and Zenimax will never win. Are they a perfect company making a perfect game? No, but players now want everything easy and free and none stop.

Plus is 1,000 crowns for all the hair styles. Geez, I am sure 90% of you spend more money on coffee from Starbucks.

When I'm paying for a PAID subscription for a game that I happen to like.... you're damn right that I feel "entitled". Are you trying to say that it's a bad thing? Don't you feel entitled to free commercials when you go and subscribe to a premium channel like HBO? Wouldn't you get angry if that network started squeezing in tiny commercials during a program run? I know I would.

Either way it shouldn't cost 10 dollars to do a minor adjustment on your character.

I get that. Dont get me wrong. But its a one time purchase for hair style and dyes. How many of you bought a mount from the crown store? 2,500 - 4,000 crowns.

I would love to have it free. Just like WoW. Change your hairstyle and facial features. But you should pay money for race changes. 100%. You know why? Because its affecting game play. 90% of people are changing race to mid max their characters. So you are going to be affecting your game play. So yea, pay for it.

Lemme ask you this. If it was 1$ to change your appearance or even race. How many times would do it? I am sure a lot more than once. Y? because its so cheap. So you do it once for 20$ or 20 times for a buck. Either way, they are getting there money and you get your change.

Do you want some free yet sound financial advice?[

If you can't afford to purchase "crowns" to update your video game character's appearance, then I submit to you that you should probably put your money towards more important things in life, and not video game character hairstyles or mounts or pets.

And I submit to you that you should have a little knowledge of a person before you start telling them how to spend their money. I'm in a wheelchair because I was hit by a drunk driver. My bills are paid. I have zero debt. There is food in my house and a roof over our head. I have exactly $25 in discretionary funds per month. Where I spend it matters to me, and I'm not going to spend it on companies who charge, yes, astronomical, amounts for things simply because there are a lot of people who will pay that.

As I said, "who have plenty of cash to throw around, or have more money than sense." Or did you simply stop paying attention when you decided that it was a fun idea to rip on someone because they have to live below the poverty level? Good on ya, mate. You're a hell of a guy. Gratz on that.

I never said that they were astronomical to anyone else, did I? Did I somehow say that I represented all gamers, or even any gamers, other than myself? That's a nice high-horse you have there.
