Come on, Zos! Charging us real life money to change our appearance? To charge us real life money for changing our hairstyles because were getting bored with the current style that our avatars has already? To charge us to purchase dyes? To even go as far as to charge us real life money to change our in-game names?!?!?!??!?! Wow just WOW! How low can your company go??!??!! This is coming from someone who is subscribed to ESO Plus so I'm not just asking for a free handout because I'm financially supporting you already. This does not encourage me to further financially support your company when you do stuffs like this because it's a sign of greed. Even Rockstar wouldn't go this far below in their current golden game (GTA V/Online).

Instead of charging us real life money for these why not allow us to use our gold to get a hair cut or to change our appearance? Heck back in Skyrim each time we want to change our appearance (non vampire) all we had to do is go to Riften in the The Ragged Flagon, and speak with the woman Altmer (Galathil), and give her 1000 gold each time we want to change our appearance. Why not do the same in this game? Each time we want to change our appearance we need to speak with a NPC, and give him/her 1,000 gold for each appearance change? Why must you charge us real life money for it?

I completely agree , especially with the fact Rockstar wouldn't even do it lol . An let's not lose perspective on the amount . Say you just want to change the age of your character , maybe make them a little older now , that's $10 . Say you have 8 characters and want to make small changes , that's $80 . That's the price of a family cell phone plan for a month . ZOS should think about that for a minute .

If they wanted to charge like $5 , I'd still not use it often but I may use it once . Minor changes in most games are free . They could probably milk a lot more out of everyone buy charging a dollar for basic appearance changes . I'd drop $10 to do small things to all my old characters and Im sure a lot more people would use it more often too .

U dont HAVE TO buy new Hairs or costumes

And in GTA u can buy Credit Cards for real Money to get ingame money ,
So do u prefer new OPTIANAL hats, costumes, hair, or a P2W model???

And if u are eso+ u get 1500 crowns, so u can change every 2 months your appearence, with not spending additional Money.

Learn how to read, son. I didn't say........ free. I said we should be able to use our GOLD. Why do you struggle with that concept? Do you actually agree with what Zos is doing? If so why? what is the justification to overcharge us with real life money for these items?

Everyone knows this already . No one has to play . No one has to buy crowns . No one has to post on the forums . No one has to post in this thread ... We get it . No one has to object to saving money either , but some people will baffle all of intelligent society by doing that anyways .

Let me ask you a question . Do you go to Shopping malls and yell at stores that throw sales ? Do you yell at people that look for sales ?

Indeed, I would have expected to get 8-12 tokens each for that price - this would be reasonable and I would use a token, whenever I feel, that I might want to change a little thing which starts to bother me - but I will certainly not do it for the current price. Like for example when I change a hairstyle and the color is not really how I like it, I would spend a token and change it - no big deal, if I would have a couple of token on hand for that price - and not just ONE - but ESO was from the start like this - like Angry Joe said - 1 gold for a mob, 2 gold for a boss - greed is not a virtue, it is a major flaw and it does not make you look good, ZOS.

No not really free but I'd expect it to be a bit lower on the price tag to be honest, I'm not a greedy player and If I want sth I am willing to pay the company, but to give more or less 50 quid to change my character... I can just buy the game all over again.

Really disappointed with how they handled the prices on the new CS items.

Given the state of the game regarding performance and stability, they should at least give this free to subs or charge us gold instead. It's totally bs that we pay to support a game we love, that is nearly broken, and still they want to charge money at every turn.

Hm, I estimated to have my first character at level 50 in about 1.5 years, and I am playing already since 8 months. i would not consider that fast - ok, I play 12 characters and am a casual player, but even if I would spend more time to play and play just one character, it would certainly take me a year at least - because I am not grinding, I am actually playing the game.

This is a new feature. And you can't compare Skyrim to Elder Scrolls Online. Does. Not. Compare.

Skyrim is not consistently updated like ESO. It doesn't require servers to host it. Your character shouldn't have dif size boobs from week to week. Fix whatever you messed up when you started and you're good.

The Style Parlour looks like it will offer casual, normal changes that you can do willy nilly for a one time charge.

ESO isn't a charity. Luxuries and cosmetic stuff keep ESO afloat.

Also, the 1500 Crowns included with each month of ESO+ is extremely generous. WoW and many other games don't give you cash shop currency with your subscription. ESO+ eventually pays for itself if you don't indulge in frivolous luxuries.

    That is all.

Its almost as if ZOS is a company that is trying to make profit.

One would think ESO is an MMO with an optional sub model.

When you combine that with cash store that that offers mostlly cosmetics along side DLC-s one could think that cosmetics are added revenue to compensate for those not buying DLC. And / or give subs an outlet to use crowns.

But that would make it one of best B2P models on market today.

So you want to use your ingame gold, aka get it freely.. What did you seriously expect :) the company has to make a living, so we have the crownstore.. the new cosmetics are not an advantage or neccessity in any way, so of course you must pay for it.. The prices may be a little high, but wanting them for free is the rant of a spoiled mind

I have no issue with most of those changes costing crowns... if they have to spend extra time to implement something new, they will charge extra money for it, that seems pretty logical to me, conaisdering that code jockeys like to be paid for their work.

Oh, sure, I would want to see a special "barbershop" stall in each major city where you could change your hair, makeup/warpaint and adornmenrs only for a gold cost (you know, those everyday changes like getting a haircut, trimming your beard or wearing black eyeshadow instead of purple)...

And I would also want to see the change options be reasonable priced for the effort it took them to implement them... which would mean, since they did very little effort (and clumsily done at that - I mean, come on, a token that you have to buy in-game to them make the changes from the character selection screen???), that their prices should be somewhat lower. Like, name change especially, that one ought to be half of appereance change... I mean, even in fantasy worlds, people change their name, one way or another, often enough.

Oh, or I would like to see some bonus for subscribers, so those who faithfully support the game with regular payments do not need to feel overly vexed about the overblown prices. Like, say, one free namechange token per three months of subscribed time, one free appereance change token for six months... and no, the "You already get crowns with your subscription" is not nearly enough, not when the pricing is that iffy... it might have been if they actually put in some effort to make the beauty parlor immersive, but with this "just go back to chargen, sukka!" letdown... I really want to see something more to balance all those dashed hopes of the game becoming better then that...

People saying ZOS has to make money - sure, but it's not like they aren't making money already. If this means that anything that is not P2W can go in the Crown Store, we're in for a treat.

What worries me most, is that asking a box price and asking money for every content update, appears to be no impediment to what they put in the Crown Store: it increasingly looks exactly like the cash shop of any F2P MMO. In fact, afaik, there are F2P MMOs that allow you to change your appearance for in-game gold, EQ2 and LotRo - haven't played either in a while though.

In before 'Housing' category is added to the Crown Store.

How is it "lunacy" to expect a simple appearance changes to be for in game currency? It is fully in ZOS right to make it crown store feature, its fully in rights of customers to disagree with that decision. Furthermore is ESO one of the f2p products? Then dont charge for the game.

SWTOR is comparative because it also gives cash shop currency with subscription, but offers much more items on cartel market - hundreds of goodies, hundreds of mounts vs. maybe 33 mounts in eso and much less interesting collectibles.

I agree, ZOS is generous, but rather in basic game content. Somehow I feel they have not so much to offer for subscribers in comparison e.g. with SWTOR. The last DLC with Argonian content only prooves that - 2 dungeons, mount and pet, no new story line or new area.
From the other way, SWTOR offers much less interesting content for non-subscribers, than ESO. That's why I left SWTOR and came here :).
