    From today's patch notes:
    Abilities that heal based on their damage done (Strife, Puncturing Sweeps, Surge, etc.) will now properly calculate their heal values when the damage is fully or partially absorbed.

    I don't know if this thread is still being monitored, but if it is, I would like to add my voice to the outcry of stam Nightblades who see no logical reason for all but two of our skills to do magic damage with every morph.

    However...

    I do not believe the most important change needs to be Killer's Blade or Grim Focus being made physical damage, but rather Death Stroke and one or both of its morphs.

    The reasoning behind this is that as things stand, there is only one ... ONE ... physical damage based ultimate in the entire game, and it is a Dragon Knight class skill. Now, Nightblades are given a large degree of stamina and weapon damage focused skills and passives, especially in the Assassination skill tree, and yet the ultimate of that tree, which has an animation almost identical to Surprise Attack, is melee (and as such rarely if ever used by magicka Nightblades), and is the only choice for a burst damage ultimate Nightblades have available outside of Dawnbreaker (which is also magic damage for some nonsensical reason), does magic damage. This lack of a proper ultimate being sorely felt in PvP where most classes rely on ultimate based burst to either kill people in a reasonable timeframe or even the odds in a fight (Storm Atronach, Dragon Leap and Meteor being ubiquitous as a result), Nightblade is at a complete loss for equivalents, as while Veil of Blades and Soul Tether decent skills in their own right, neither provide the burst and damage boost Death Stroke is designed to, but fails to accomplish adequately.

    With the growing importance of champion points, irregularities like this, and the lack of a physical damage ultimate for a class that offers such a wide array of tools for stamina users, and is oft favoured by stamina users (especially in PvP where this lack of an ultimate is most grating), only further weakens the class, and considering all the nerfs stamina Nightblades are receiving this patch, the result may be debilitating. The nail in this particular coffin being the changes to champion points in Thieves Guild, and the fact that Thaumaturge, already a mediocre solution to the issue, will no longer enhance magic damage, that being moved entirely to the spell damage tree. This kills the stamina Nightblade.

    For stamina based damage being such an integral part of the game, I do find it very odd that there is only one physical damage based ultimate out there, especially when looking at a class that seemingly has a number of tools suited to stamina based play. I feel that while every class should have an option for this (Templars with Radial Sweep and Sorcs perhaps having an overload morph deal physical damage), it is most glaringly out of place for Nightblades to lack such an important part of a stam DPS rotation for no good reason.


    TL;DR: Pls can we have a physical damage ult, DK gets one, why not us?

    The stamblade tears are glorious here... Might actually try mine again since they won't be as faceroll, then aging I still find DK more fun overall. Not like your damage is getting any excess ref that stamina I not getting as a whole. Just going to have to do more than cloakspam to live.

    But for the sneak/invisibility mechanic, Shadow Cloak and Master Assassin, are there any updates about Siphoning Attacks/Leeching Strikes, Manifestation of Terror (visible traps, number of targets feared), the physical damage for stamina morphs and/or any other matter discussed here and in other popular PTS threads?

    @ZOS_GinaBruno some feedback regarding the masters bow.. this takes you out of cloak or hidden when using vigor. this doesn't happen with any other weapon

    What does the DK use to stay alive during PVP situations? This idea of "cloakspam" to live is an in game mechanic for the nightblade, which makes the nightblade. To get backlash from a skill which identifies a class makes no sense at all in my opinion.

    i was wondering why this was happening to me :o not that many people have one on console.
