    Bah, overlooked that. The reduced cost is not to be underestimated though. Just like the fact that you won't have to be locked down using a 2-hander.

    This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

    4. since the Cloak ability can be indefinitely locked out, by casting magelight every 4 secs, this also means that the veiled strike (and its morphs) used in conjunction with cloak can no longer be used to stun opponents..another nerf..
    5. all this and that anyone can get Magelight since it is a level 1 ability for the Mages Guild can now fully negate a class skill means that the game is now broken..
    6. ZOS is listening to the whiners of this game way to much that refuse to slot counters and L2P vs nightblades.

    I can keep going if you want, i can put atleast two more points down off the top of my head, (1. toggling magelight will grant empower again, leading to one-shot builds is just one, 2. AvA skill rank requirements will be lowered with this patch as well and many people will have access to Revealing flare skill now as well) but #'s 2 & 3 is way more than enough for this to be reversed..

    PS- Piercing Mark should also not cause Shadow Cloak to be unusable either..

    The NB passives are too intertwined with Cloak for them to keep the lockout part of Magelight for the live release. I don't understand why they're overreacting like this. Whining is OP and needs a nerf.

    I disagree with this. Right now if someone marks me, if I can kill the person who marks me (usually the first person to attack me after being marked) then I can utilize stealth again. That's how it should be. I shouldn't be locked out of stealth no matter what. That's dumb. I chose the nightblade because I like playing a stealth class. I like being sneaky. They've ruined this class for me.

    personally, i would run efficient purge if need be as a stam.

    ya but 3 seconds still means you can work it into your rotation and keep it up indefinitely with no counter.

    Given the changes that are coming (I am on PS4 NA), can you recommend me a build/loadout for my High Elf Mag NB? I am only level 7 at the moment. I am really enjoying Dest and Resto staffs but I am willing to give one up for a 1H/Shield or maybe DW. The goal is to be as powerful as possible but also being available for support and quick hits, get away tactics.

    I morphed to Shadowy Disguise based over Dark Cloak but obviously can change that in the future if you suggest it. Thanks!

    • Radiant Magelight (Magelight morph): Fixed an issue where this morph was not preventing the stun from Veiled Strike and its morphs.

    Has anyone tested this fix of build 2.3.3?
    Is this working just preventing the stun from sneak or also the one from invisible?

    On live server you can know when someone has active this toggle skill, while on PTS the effects are up just when casted.
    Since it provides a really strong effect when simply passively slotted, it should have a visual clue.

    With this skill probably really common in PvP and the other changements about sneak/invisibility, the passive Master Assassin (NB) and Stealthy (Bosmer/Khajiit) should be tweaked in some manner, since their use is already really limited PvE wise.

I am betting we will be nerfed into the ground. This is a good thing. They made it incredibly easy to make alts in this patch. Take the noob route and become a derp knight or a derp sorc. Its easy. Play that class have fun with it. The more of us that make alts and stop running the NB's the devs will take notice and balance us. Simple. Seriously roll a sorc. They have had it easy since day one and this patch seems no different. Done problem solved..you will have fun playing another class for a bit and it will get our class un-nerfed.

    How long have you two worked for Zenimax? Honestly, ZoS hasn't got a clue when it comes to balancing. All they know how to do is destroy classes with nerfs. This is not ok. We want balance, we don't want to have to make and level up a new character just because ZoS doesn't know how to do that

    It was a joke. Taking the attention off of your favorite class by making another seem extremely popular so they get the scrutiny of the Devs instead.

    I only play a NB and am not happy about the upcoming nerf to cloak either, even though I could only cloak 3 times in a row to begin with. Like I really needed that skill to be locked out when it could only be used a few times before my magicka was depleted.

    pve a nb makes the perfect mix of heals and damage capable of healing with low impact on dps by just using funnel health/sap. pvp its less about healing thanks to the 50% heal debuff while damage suffers zero reduction. thus m. nbs rely more on burst dps from sources like m. det and meteor or a siliar high damage ult. coupled with teleport strike and veiled strike.

    Efficient purge
    because it gives you your class skill passive? Here's a hint: No, it doesn't

    Cloak was the only ability to do so, which was not visible for others.
    The dot removal was nice for siege and NPCs, it was never really an issue with DKs (either way).
    Their unbreakable stuns and snares are. But that's just another issue of very poor game design by ZOS.

    If you think that's not crippling, consider DKs only being able to apply a DOT on 1 target at a time, with a cooldown of 5 seconds before ANY dot can be reapplied. And purge giving not only dot removal to anyone in the area, but a weapon and spell damage buff with extra protection against fire attacks.

    Not crippling? Sure would be. But hey let's nerf NBs as a class to Oblivion. Next stop Templars, then DKs. Sorcs for the win.

    As if not the ridiculously bad implementation of stealth (50 people hiding on an open field of grass in bright sunshine, and unless you walk right into them you don't see a thing one step away) is the real issue here.

    Stam nbs will be just fine. (Don't worry I have a stam nb too.)

    If ur mag blade, proxy>lotus fan>soul tether/meteor/Bat swarm + spam Aoe is going to be so OP. With nerfs to healing across the board and the general buff to magicka classes I'd say mag blade would be a close contender to the new patches master race sorc.

    As for losing cleanse I think it's legit. Run purge like every other class. Dosent make sense to have a single ability push give u invis, buffs, cleanse and all the amazing stealth synergies that come with it. Broken as ***. Even my stamblade who didn't spam cloak found it ridiculous. Low hp = fear> cloak + vigor, boom fight reset. However I do agree that cloak should never become unusable. They should change rml such that you can press cloak, but not be able to turn invis while still getting at least some of your class Passives. The cleanse though, I fully agree with it being decoupled from cloak.

I guess its fair then that sorcs get hardened ward that makes them impervious to critical hits while its up, is about same power as barrier and also have sorc port that enables them to have the greatest mobility. also you forget that nb was designed for pvp, and you also forget Templars have class purge because purge my dear friend is a healer's skill, and nb is a hybrid class. there is a reason nb are the only class besides Templars that can heal people other then themselves with CLASS skills.

    The dot cleanse, while I will miss it, was a harsh counter to class that is mostly Dot based. I think that nerf was fair.

    no its not. people seem to readily forget NIGHTBLADES ARE A PVP-CENTRIC CLASS DESIGNED TO STRIKE FROM STEALTH. rather then put a timer which is counter to what this game was designed to be, all they need to do is put a 25% additional cost per use if reused within 6s. this would put similar limitations as were placed on dodge roll and sorc port.

    2: give an even stronger heal than the above to sorcs.
