    Getting kicked at least once an hour.
    My connection is not the problem.
    My console is not the problem.
    Tired of submitting tickets only to have temporary fixes. I really enjoy the hell out of this game.
    PLEASE get it straight.

    Thanks for the reports, folks! We wanted to ask a few questions. Those who are seeing "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection."
    1. What platform are you on?
    2. What server are you logging into?
    3. Have you been able to play before?
    4. Were you able to play after seeing this error?
    5. Are you getting kicked from the game with this message or seeing it upon your login attempt?
    6. Are you able to successfully log in on a different server?

    We know this is a lot of information, but we appreciate your assistance!

    - Message is displayed when I am brought back to the title screen

    Some additional information:

    - When I started playing a month ago I use using AT&T Uverse for my service provider. The only issues I got then was the dreaded crash bringing all the way to the XMB menu.
    - After switching service to Comcast. "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid connection." started.

    Patch today did not help. Still having disconnect issues after a few minutes. It actually is slightly better, lasting 20-30 minutes before each disconnect. I got a response for a ticket to try something to help them "further investigate," but can't try that until this weekend.

    I wonder if they've *** up all the firmwares on the Superhubs (except for the SH1)? They seem to be classing these games (and connections) as torrents and managing them aggressively.

    Even though my issues seems to be fixed by using a new router, I'm tempted to buy a SH1 VMDG480, as I had this in my old flat and had no problems at all just to test it out as i'm curious.

    It's a shame ZoS have not a single thing to say about any of this, not even "it's not us". What's the point in having console technical support forums when they don't even contribute?

    I login in, get DC'd. IF i make it into the game, less than a min and im kicked out saying i have no internet connection. Yet I can play GTA5, Planetside 2 and even WoW on my crappy laptop.

    So its not my internet.

    Then I get times where I can play ESO for hours, lag spikes but no DCs. But once the DCs start, they never end.
    I give up after 15 Mins or so. Hard resets and all that dont work

    Happened again, 5-6 hrs of straight gaming, go in town to do daily writs, almost done then i get a notice my research is done. I got to add a new one then BLAMO I DC.

    6th try to login, never get pass character selection.

    For those on VM i've managed to "fix" my issue by sticking the SH2 in to modem mode and putting a TP-Link Archer c20i AC750 in-between.

    I haven't had any disconnects since.

    People on WoW also experiencing this issue is http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/15162419406?page=1

    I was thinking that maybe the forum team have got lots on, but what's the point in having a PS4/XBO Support forum if they don't monitor/care about it? Unless they're that short staffed they can't physically support the support forum. All they have to do is spend 30 minutes researching this issue and put a sticky with resolutions/what they need to do.

    It's not going the extra mile, it's basic support.

    I have the sam problem here!

    I just bought the game and tried to play but I receive this error over and over again!

    I have tried to open ports in my router, activated UPnP and whatnot and nothing helps! My Internet connection is perfectly fine. NAT Type is 2.

    I have no errors whatsoever in other online games.

    When I do get lucky and get to enter the game with a character, I can perfectly play until I have to change a region or dungeon where a loading screen comes up like upon exiting the Tutorial Area, then i get disconnected wth the error medsage above!

    This game is unplayable at the moment! I have contacted the Support but only received a ridiculous automated reply with "tips" that I already tried and stated so in the ticket...

    -Both, after I selected a Character and a loading time of about 40 seconds and everytime ingame when I have to change Locations that make a loading screen necessary. In "normal" free roam play it has not happend so far.

    - No, same error!

    I'm in Ireland and my ISP is vodafone and as with everybody else here same issues since day one have tried all the fixes
    but to no avail there is obviously a serious flaw to say this many people are experiencing the same thing i also have no problems playing other online games infuriating to say the least

    Consoles shouldnt need an indepth troubleshoot guide like PCs do.


    I shouldnt have to tinker with my settings to the point i'm changing modem/router settings just to play this game.
    Consoles are plug n play, all consoles are the same (PS4), so why isnt there a solution yet?

    I can play ALL my games online without touching any settings, just start the game and I play online.
    Even WoW is more reliable than ESO on consoles.

    How can you not respond or update us on this issue? Almost 600 posts! SIX HUNDRED!!!


    Stop focusing on your DLCs and PTRs when people cant even play the basic version of the game.

    I agree with you 100%, but according to them, it's an issue on our side not theirs. They sent me this on 8/10:
    "We are aware of some minor issues on general internet connection (not on our side), especially on the East Coast, that's nonetheless going to be solved within the next hours."

    And more recently on 8/19:
    "In regards to your issue, I completely understand where you're coming from. From your side, you can play all other games without issue and there's a number of similar voices on the forums. On our side, we can see the majority of players are able to connect and play without issue, such as your friend can."

    I have had this ticket open since beginning of August, 8/5. Still no resolution. I have changed my router to no firewall, still have had issues, so put it back to normal. I have done everything they said and more and still get disconnected.

    As of lately (yesterday late afternoon/evening), I'm beginning to notice issues again with randomly getting disconnected with the: "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection." message being displayed. I wonder if we're in for another series of server connectivity issues.

    And then saying that the problem is not on their side is just a massive slap in the face for the customer!

    Like many people here I even tried to set my PS4 to a DMZ/Exposed Host in my Router meaning that no port control or anything whatsoever happens and still: NOTHING!

    If there will be no permanent solution in the next weeks I will return the game to the store and get my money back. In the flyer that comes with the game it says that they garuantee that the game is free of errors for at least 30 days after purchase... what a big lie!

    Here we go again, at about 12pm BST 25/8.
    Logging into grahtwood zone, playing and doing a little inventory/skill management. Geeting kicked 5 times! After being logged in for 3-6 minutes max disconnects with the message.
    All other internet devices working fine, 15/12mb download/upload speed.

    My latest response from then was to change dns servers, but also to call Sony again and check the PlayStation connection stairs... Everything else is fine, but yea it's Sony's fault now.

    Between the recent patch and todays maintenance i have gone from being able to play sometimes to not being able to play at all i log in and in the space of 20 seconds i'm back at the title screen with that stupid message i don't think I've ever been this p***ed off about a game in my life. If I ever see a ZENIMAX logo on a game again not only will i not buy it but I'll do my utmost to make sure everybody i know does likewise this whole thing is an absolute disgrace.

    Lost my guild. 3 of my friends and brother stopped playing. This is so sad. I can't believe this game was so broken and they still sold it to us. Theres no fix in sight guys. I have no words for ZOS.. I was reading about them from pc players prior to console release but I had no idea they were this bad, and here we are, and yes they are THAT bad. They deflect and point blame and stick to their guns. What a heck of a game ESO is... I'm losing faith in gaming as a whole.
