And we have ANOTHER one!!! Ding ding ding!

Stop playing a game because of ONE skill and fixing another?

I am way to clueless about the choice to even consider playing a skill base game and then quit because of 1 skill.

Would you mind enlighten me sir in your thinking about buying a SKILL based game, then quit when they change or fix ONE skill. Or in your case, two?
Because combat was the one thing that i enjoyed in this game. I fkin hate cooldown based mmo's where u smash all buttons like a monkey, i'm always playing a game strictly for the combat.

ONE skill? ..you do realize that Templar doesn't have other viable options. I don't want Healing skills and i don't want Ranged fireballs. I was playing melee and nothing can replace Biting Jabs without respec'ing the whole character in a different build that i don't even enjoy to play.

I have a 3 months sub and when that's close to done i'll decide
what to do then. It's a little early yet and any one who has played
mmo's know it takes time to see if things will work out or not.

The thing is just about every game...maybe all lol come out too
soon. This is the norm anymore...sad but true. All i can say is
if your not having fun cancel and your are having fun stay.

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Cancelled. Went back to SWTOR, remembered how awesome it was having more than 5 skills available at a time. Went to the Auction House and dumped some crafting mats I had sitting in my inventory, wept for joy when they sold. Queued up for some warzones and had a blast in playing some non zerg pvp. Did some quests and realized I hadn't heard the same voice actor for 27 different NPC's in the last three quest chains. Used skills that actually worked, made me happy in my pants.

    Ahhh, bliss.

Skill based you must not play the same DK/Sorc Staff/Staff Game im playing and the previous statement about rogues in Vanilla WOW was just way over the top.

On My hunter I killed rogues all the time, Vanilla WoW not the craptastic thing its become, not everytime but more times than they killed me.

    i'm realy unhappy.
This patch only slows people who play with limited time or a week and no one can play only at night. to those who spend days playing nothing changes. after 5 days of patch there are already those veterans between 2 months and 12 will still be here to complain about new content.
After an hour of play I have to disconnect myself because it makes me nervous.

    Yeah, you're missing a lot.

This game has more problems than it's worth and the few moments of fun and actual joy you can find, like going on 45 minute long Werewolf rampages slaughtering camps of bandits were its only saving grace and they ruined that too. They didn't even bother fixing all the broken with the skill line. They nerfed the one bit that made it fun and left it a steaming, worthless pile of trash.

    Just like this game. Trash.

Edit: Oh yeah and don't get me started on PvP...

Would you like me to list all the issues with skills there too among other things?

Nah, no need to list. Your answer to me here was quite informative thank you.

I am playing 1 char only. Thats how I play. I am a DK, buildt as tank so I a very hard time soloing and questing. But thats my choice and how it should be.

In groups, instances and every situation where someone is needed to get the attention of the enemy AND be able to survive a BIG attack from a boss. Thats me! Thats where I shine. But still, there isnt one encounter that is the same any enother, so I keep learning new things.

And in PvP sir, I am useless in player to player combat. I get instantly killed.
Yes, I am a DK and I have choking Talon, which roots enemies around me.
ATM this skill is not working as intended and roots way to many. This is getting fixed. Good!

However, ESO made it possible for a CRAP PvP player as myself to be useful. I LOVE catapulting down enemy walls. Or pouring molten oil on enemies that tries to attack the keep my side is defending.

In 20 years of playing MMO, starting with muds. I have NEVER liked Pvp.
    ESO changed that.

I cancelled mine a couple days ago, not because of what was changed in the patch, but because of the direction they are headed. They should really be devoting all of their time to fixing bugs at this point, not adding content for the few people that are VR10+. They still haven't fixed most of my major concerns with the game.

    Crafting
The hireling needs to be reworked. As a casual player, I typically log on only once a day, after work. Having a 3rd point in the hireling is completely useless to me because you have to log in twice a day to get the loot. I have tried logging in before work (so 12 hours apart) to try to get two a day, but that doesn't seem to work. I don't end up getting anything in the morning, meaning I can only get loot once a day.

Provisioning and enchanting have some balance issues. Provisioning is, by far, the easiest and quickest crafting skill to level. Enchanting is the exact opposite. I picked up enchanting and metalworking on an alt, sending all of my enchants and metal armor/weapons from my main to level up those skills. My metalworking level is more than twice as high as enchanting, and I have deconstructed about the same number of each. I get significantly less crafting experience for deconstructing enchants. That is not balanced. At this rate, I won't be able to craft enchants that are a high enough level for that character, despite deconstructing all the enchants I find on my main.

    Combat
Since beta even, combat hasn't felt very responsive. Swapping weapons doesn't always work, and there isn't a big enough visual indication when a weapon swap does or cannot occur. I will hit the button, expecting to switch weapons, then press one of the hotkeys only to realize my character is casting the wrong spell.

There is also a delay when blocking. My character can be in the animation for blocking, but not block an attack in time. This gets very aggravating. You have to be blocking pretty long before the attack actually goes off.

Abilities sometimes do not work. I often have to press the key multiple times to get my character to cast something. This often results in casting the spell twice consecutively, which can often lead to death in VR content.

Those are just some of the issues I have with the game right now. It is frustrating to see that new content is being added while the combat and other game systems remain just as buggy. This is why I have cancelled my sub. If they decide to change their direction and fix these bugs, namely the combat, instead of adding new end game content, then I will subscribe again.

I mean, look at these reasons for stopping playing the game. What where these players doing in a skill based game in the first place?

I think a lot of us feel the same way. I didn't mind being one of the two weakest classes for the first month and a half; I always expected we would get brought up in line with Sorcs and DKs when the first balance patch happened.

But now after seeing how they "balanced" in this patch, I have very little hope that it will get any better. All they did was increase the gap between the OPed classes and the crappy classes. Now Templars and NBs can't even get a trial group, DKs and Sorcs only.

I just have no desire to play Templar anymore. I can't imagine how bad it must feel to have rolled a NB.

Your argument is idiotic because every game takes skill.

Mario requires a good mastery of the jumping skill. If you are bad at jumping you are bad at Mario.

Literally every video game ever except maybe cookie clicker requires some form of skill, even flappy birds. The skill to not crash into pipes.

I would like to point out, there should off been 2 polls or more options for the following reason:
The NA and EU servers are running on totally different systems, the NA server was designed to handle the load it is taking with minimal latency and lag, where the EU server was a temp server setup to host the EU server, but never attended to stay there. So why would they want to spend alot of money on a temp server.
Because of this, the EU server on a server that can't handle the game, we get latency if we are lucky between 200-300, lag spikes that can last 2-3 mins if not longer and most of all, cyrodiil crashes 2-3 every hour and you get rolled back.

Point of this is, NA players will like the game and be happy for what they are paying for and will pick , they are happy, where the EU players will pick, we have been ripped off, not we not happy and we want our money back.

But if they sort the problems out, move the EU server, we be happy and ESO be heading towards being one the best MMO's of all time and not heading towards the biggest MMO Fail of all time!

This really is the worst possible response/attitude. It's just making excuses for poor execution. How long was the game in development? How long do we have to give them before it's "appropriate" to point out flaws? What is the acceptable time frame?

Bottom line is that those making these excuses are part (a big part) of the reason it even happens. If consumers (that's us) simply shrug and continue to pay for such products do you really think there is any incentive at all to to fix the problem?

No, I am not sure it is unfair. What reasons do you need to have to keep your sub? As I said before, if your happy you will keep it.

There is simply a option of keeping but, wary. And Keeping it. I would imagine that means no other reason than happy.

Most of the responses are negative on a biased poll constructed to elicit negative responses?!? No Way!!!

Though they could have put together a balanced poll (2 positive, 2 negative, 2 neutral) responses IF they had wanted to gauge the feelings of the forum goers, but then they might have gotten a response counter to the one they wanted to further their arguments... and we can't have that.

For a relatively unbiased response? A sliding scale one like so:

    * I already have cancelled my subscription
    * I am unhappy and seriously considering cancelling my subscription
    * I am waiting to see if desired fixes are deployed before cancelling
    * I am waiting to see if desired fixes are deployed but am keeping subscription
    * I am mostly happy with ESO and am continuing subscription
    * I am happy and will continue with subscription

But even then the response will still be skewed, as the any poll dealing with whether or not a person is keeping their subscription is already skewed to attract those unhappy.
The only negative experience in ESO is those that make it negative.
