I haven't been pushed to quit. Sure the npc fiasco was frustrating but they fixed it.

The loss of the scourge campaign pissed me off because EP lost the buffs but I have gotten over it

Was a lil annoyed at the leveling exploits because it was cheap but w/e I'm enjoying the quests

By cancel I mean just let it expire unless I like what I see. I have the 6 month one so there is time. Sadly I see neither the will nor the ability to recognise the serious issues or address them.

If they had offered a better six month plan for early access players, I might have been tempted. Luckily they didn't have an offer like that and I signed up on a monthly basis. Not much sense in paying while they are still working to fix design flaws. The cachet or coolness factor doesn't apply either like the early days of WoW.

I guess some of those game commentators/analysts are correct when they say that WoW spoiled an entire generation of gamers by setting the bar really high. It's really hard to settle for less.

I will keep my sub for another month, but I have two main problems

1 - EU server must be moved to EU asap
2 - BOTs must be dealt with. I don't care how they do it, but if those are not gone in one month I will most likely be gone. I like PvE and bots are ruining my experience.

I like to play healers and tanks in MMOs and usually level mixing quests with dungeons (also PvP if the xp is enough to enable me to level decently). Once I discovered that this wasn't possible in ESO I cancelled. Who would have thought that a second dungeon run in a AAA MMO would yield virtually no XP? Why roll a character specialized for group play to run three dungeons (that together don't amount to a single bar of xp) during one level every 7-8 levels of gameplay? Weird combination of flexible and open character design with rigid character progression (50 levels of primarily single player questing).

Love the game, despite its flaws. My wife and I are having a wonderful time, and play every day. We're casual players, though, we aren't racing to 50, and we enjoy the storylines and seeing new places. We've also been around so many MMO launches that we know how these rodeos work, and are perfectly fine being patient.

    This and +1
For me being patient in MMOs has been the clue. Yesterday I hitted lvl38 and I'm pretty happy going through places hearing/reading all the stories and entertaining myself collecting everything and enjoying the landscape. I even had a peek into pvp and had nice entertainment in there despite not being veteran.

So I'll continue like this, enjoying the game for what it has in the good side. Zos is working on his side. Could be better? Always can be better. I want housing, I want dark brotherhood and justice system, dyes and cosmetics, new mounts, new territories for non veteran players... But I'll be patient, we're just at the beginning.

It's possible. There are a lot of frustrations in the game, at the moment. I have been tolerating most of them, but i am wearing down. The inventory management has been sucking the energy out of me, and the constant crashing since the patch is leaving me no choice but to consider taking some time off to see if they can get things worked out. Obviously I will wait till the end of the sub month to decide, but so far the crashing that many are experiencing is not even on their list of acknowledged issues.

    We'll see.

I still have a game time card so I'll be keeping an eye on patches till then but I stopped playing yesterday.
    Reasons are:
    - I keep having loading screen in the middle of zones with no reason (with or without people/mobs around me, in and out of cities) and it's just random
    - I play a templar dps and my build was ruined with Biting Jabs nerfed so it can't be used without having 1,2 sec of not being able to do anything after you use it (not being able to use skills, to attack with your weapon, nothing)
    - I have had many freezes in some quests/dungeons/zones, often ruining a group combat
    - Zenimax has been lying by omission about many changes in the Craglorn patch, changes you can find on customer's topics in official forums and on reddit (though reddit seems to be censored cause I mostly see positive topics whereas two weeks ago it was more about showing what's not working/bugs)

I've encountered many other problems during these last days, so many I can't count (from grouping leader disappearing soon as theres a group of 2, to my skills being all locked and my attack disabled with no reason pushing me to disconnect from the game).

Maybe there are lucky people, or maybe they're only playing 1h here and there and can't see what's going on, but the game has been broke in half with Craglorn. I'm not even talking about the balance of classes (DKs destroying the other classes in PvP and face rolling content solo when templars like me have tried dozens of different skill bars to finally understand we don't play the same game, and my class is only efficient as a healing class, so only for grouping).

I love the game, I love it since it came out. there are some big issues, but I keep my hopes up, I really don't want to see this game fail and even if I get frustrated sometimes (I can't play now since the patch crashes my GPU drivers.) I still return to the game, something about it is really addictive. Once I start playing it is really hard to put down.

Currently my only slight worry is the VR11+ content with it's grouping requirement, but I'll worry about that when I get there.

Already cancelled. Like a lot of other people. Its only foolish people like me that still have a tiny hope for this game that still visit these forums.

I think mine runs out in 14 days.

Not even 5% of all the friends and guild people I got plays anymore. And those that do rarely logs on for more than 15-30mins.

"unplayable VR content without grouping"? That's the entire point of Craglorn. It's specifically a zone you have to group for.

And if you don't want to group, the old dungeons are just dandy for getting to V12 anyway.

You can quit a game you like because it's being destroyed every few weeks by untested patches you know.
That's what's happening. Not dumb haters, not people hating game mechanics (there are some, but only few), just hating the fact Zenimax is doing such a bad job and also lying by omission about all the changes they did in the last patch (biting jabs nerf, RvR campaign deleted, and many more you can find on the forums)

They have just made too many terrible design decisions(guild stores, inventory management, boring end game pve for a start) for this game to succeed. Add in the bugs (and the inability to fix them and instead create new bugs) ,an unresponsive combat system , terrible class balance, and the worst customer service I have ever seen in a sub based MMO and I personally think its already too late for the game to go anywhere let alone survive for more than a year.

I really don't know what is Zenimax doing or if they even realize the magnitude of the failure they provided with Craglorn.
Cause I don't see any sign of a new patch announcement today, and I don't see them talking about most of the problems people have. I'm not even talking about combat system, skills, etc, just the basic graphical errors, bugs. They pointed at maybe 3 of those, but there are far more.

It's like they left for holidays and there are just 3 guys fixing stuff when they're not taking a break ("Oh people are farming Kardala, let's ruin the dungeon bosses", "Oh theres a memory leak, lets make a hotfix that half-fix the problem but not really", "Oh there are other problems ... well we'll see that after a few days ...")

Hehe , it is silly to think someone will not quit because they like a game.

The concept here is solid , it is zen current ... display , that makes me quit this game.

Like most of those that intend to quit , i do intend to wait and see how the game develops , i just dont intend to remain paying while they do it.

When your game which is 2 months old as the same amount of active players as guild wars 2 (which has no subscription) which is 2 years old then you know something is drastically wrong.

I dont think even F2P will save this game like it did for SWTOR. There are a lot more star wars fans than TES for a start and secondly the base designs in SWTOR were based on a successful formula (WoW) with a star wars skin. I think Zenimax got the base designs for ESO wrong and nothing can be done about that at this point in time.

I will keep my subscription. I am happy with the work ZoS is doing.

I understand there are a lot of bugs, balancing issues and bots. You name it.
However it is something you should expect to see in all MMOs.

Now being a constantly evolving MMO we as a community have a rare opportunity to help mould the direction it heads in.
The more input we give ZoS the more they can do.
There are some incredibly annoying things that we all know are slight issues, I personally embrace it. For example WW is considered weak. So I got myself infected and intend on proving that wrong.

In terms of things like bugs. Well I have seen much worse than ESO in terms of those, but also remember every time you fix a bug you create 2 more, its how the programming world works.

Already cancelled. The last push was the weekend, when I wasn't able to play for almost 3 days cause ot the 301 error. The customer support thought we are stupid and they still couldn't solve the problem, they just restarted the server, so the stucked ppl can play again, but new players have the problem again. More and more... But it's just really 1 small thing. The lack of PvE end content, level cap increases, useless set drops ( i can craft better...) - this is not inspiring at all.
