This is how people are let go from corporations and most serious businesses. It is necessary to avoid sabotage from distraught/angry employees acting on impulse. When one is at work when the decision is made for them to be let go, they are escorted out of the building. Of course not everyone would act with malice, but because it's a realistic possibility for fired employees to act like this, it is a necessary security precaution.
Might be the case in the US, where I live (Germany), you only can be fired without notice, due to serious misconduct by employees.
Termination must be in writing and within a certain period, specified in the employment contract.
In addition, the number of years with the company and the age of the employee are also taken into account.

DPS arcanists that have Runic Jolt/Morphs slotted are most definitely not meta arcanists.
And what do you mean Arcanists don't need a taunt? Every class needs a taunt. Arcanists are allowed to play as a tank just like whatever class you're playing. And Runic Jolt sits right there at the top of the "Soldier of Apocrypha" skiill line, which is the skill line designed for tanking.
Your issue isn't Arcanists having a taunt. Your issue is you're playing with players who don't know what they're doing.

But can anyone tell me why are a lot , and I mean "A" "LOT" of folks now recently speed running all these dungeons. Even the new ones.
Most people who run dungeons are doing so for the loot/rewards. Very few people who typically run dungeons haven't already casually played through those dungeons.
Why expect that people will want to go slow every single time they run the same old dungeons? The new ones aren't really that new anymore.

No need for any other tutorials or gatekeeping tests, just be open to helpful suggestions from more experienced players and pass it forward in due course.
There's no good way to tell someone their DPS is sub par in the middle of a run. Occasionally, I've seen tanks try to get orbs from healers, but that's hit and miss.
The only role that gets serious training in vet dungeon pugs is tanks because it becomes essential.
Only gaming enthusiasts intuitively think about seeking out this knowledge.
The thing is, most of these 5k dps DDs or the healers standing away from the group not doing anything until they see a health bar drop don't realize they make the mistakes. And the tanks that do learn in groups are faced with an unfair trial by fire.
How can you say there is no need for the game to prepare players for the content it presents to them? Of course there is a need. I can see how someone could take my suggestion as a form of gatekeeping, but it is the opposite. It is gate opening.
I bet countless players queue into a vet random, have an absolutely terrible experience and never go back.

I already posted but I want to comment on the concept of tomofhyrule’s post as it also really resonated with me and I forgot to mention the lore side of why I don’t like subclassing. At a more casual level, it could be argued subclassing is more “elder scrolls-like” but at an endgame level, it’s far less “elder scrolls-like”. Based on current meta, in order to do the content I have done preciously (without being at high risk for being shamed or skipped over, and again, will never be a good player), I would have to be open to making my:
- Maormer sorcerer who only knows basic lightning skills -> take earthen heart, soldier of apocrypha, siphoning lines
- Breton “good” necromancer who was raised as a knight -> take earthen heart, soldier of apocrypha lines
- Argonian spy for Hermaeus Mora -> templar, DK. Or, as tank: -> earthen heart, storm calling, warden frost line
(Other required lines not mentioned for I’m okay with those.)
It looks wrong, feels wrong, is wrong. It doesn’t feel good playing a build that doesn’t match a character for me. And even on the casual side of it, my most subclassable overland character I don’t even know where to start because she’s a sorc but I think I would rather her be 2x warden 1x arcanist… but oh wait… I can’t do that…
My second most subclassable overland character has the same problem, I want to do 2x nightblade because we have purple skill styles scattered across the nb lines… but she’s a sorc.
So, tldr, I’m not having an elder scrolls experience because I cant subclass the characters I want subclassed and I have to subclass the ones I don’t want subclassed. Also add the reasons I mentioned in my first post.

Any form of speaking out, to any injustice, is arguably better than being silent and leaving it to "the resistance" as you put it. We don't have to be part of some ultimate solution in order to take a short moment to speak out.
I feel what you're saying, I think I really do. But why try to talk down other people who are just putting their feedback out that something done seems wrong?
If you're trying to discourage people out of some sense of pragmatism, then you are actually part of the problem.
Go live a defeated life which is operated by a sense of only others' order, and let us say "wow, this is messed up" to messed up situations.
I am doing no such thing. I am presenting my view of what I think the reality of the situation is. I am the one being talked down to. Did you not read someone say I am bending over? Or another saying I am defending people being treated horribly?
This is all outside of the scope of these forums beyond what I have already expressed. It is not possible to have a serious discussion about these topics without it getting shut down by the admins and possibly having one's account actioned.
What I've said does not provide any indication about what my personal views are. I am simply stating what I believe to be facts. I do not believe there was any injustice within the context of how our society operates. A corporation should be expected to act like a corporation. If people want to change how the system works, this is not the place to make that happen.

Thanks for answering my questions in the Q&A, it's great to see a clearer picture of the team's priorities when it comes to Battlegrounds.
For what it's worth, I appreciate the sentiment of wanting to give people a fair shot on the leaderboards, but I think there is a case to be made that the MMR resets actually hinder "lower MMR" players from achieving higher medal scores by matching them against players who vastly outperform them. It also makes it harder for higher skill players to get medals for the leaderboard by matching them with people who aren't able to fight on the same level yet. There is also the issue of healing medals being overtuned forcing people to play healer if they want to max leaderboard score, as well as pet damage/shielding not counting towards medals, which hits necros harder than other classes.
It's good to know the team is looking into possible changes, and I hope you reconsider tying MMR to the medal system. I've had some consistently great 4v4 games in the last couple days of the month, it would be nice if they were like that most of the time.

A. We have seen this feedback about the monthly MMR resets, yes. For context as to why we reset MMR each month, it’s to give everyone a fresh opportunity on the leaderboards. That said, we agree that the game matchmaking based on current MMR could be better.

Torc of the Last Ayleid King DROP CHANCE TOO LOW???
Hi all,
Been trying to farm the new mythic on live - 8 hours in so far. It has not gone well to say the least. I've done every side room that has appeared, killed multiple loot goblins and earned in the process over 46,000 Archival Fortunes. With that said, I have only 1 lead for the mythic which came from a quest reward within there. My friend has also joined for at least have that time and too has issues - not got a single lead in that entire time.
Are other people having issues with these leads and if so what solutions, if any, are there?
