Torc of the Last Ayleid King DROP CHANCE TOO LOW???

Hi all,

Been trying to farm the new mythic on live - 8 hours in so far. It has not gone well to say the least. I've done every side room that has appeared, killed multiple loot goblins and earned in the process over 46,000 Archival Fortunes. With that said, I have only 1 lead for the mythic which came from a quest reward within there. My friend has also joined for at least have that time and too has issues - not got a single lead in that entire time.

Are other people having issues with these leads and if so what solutions, if any, are there?

I got all leads in two days of solo running up to arc 6, so I didn't have issues with the drop rates. Maybe you can try running it solo or run it with a different character to see if it helps.

So far I've only found two out of the total leads, and I've been doing a run everyday and getting to around Arc 4? Somewhere in there. Makes no difference to me though, I can keep going for the fortunes, sets, and achivements. I'll just keep mindlessly doing it with YouTube or something on the side, then log out after the run.

Strangely enough it's the opposite for me, before I've even realised had all of them in couple runs. Not sure if drop chance affected by some other achievements completion though

Same. I got all the new leads in just a few runs and then back to getting duplicates of ones I’ve gotten before (not complaining about that — still need to complete third infinite tome and a few others).

I got all leads in first 2 days, couple short runs that I ended because of zero focuses effort

I think I got all leads in about three days, a run per day completing the first three arcs. Bear in mind RNGeesus is temperamental and one can go days without getting a single lead of any sort in there.

You should all understend that this mythic is too strong so Zos is probably trying to reduce the amount of players actually using it.

I know some people who got every lead before the 4th arc, I know some people who have completed 10 arcs and still haven't gotten a single lead. RNG sucks.

Update: Still don't have enough leads. I have earned over 150k fortunes and still missing 1 lead. I've completed all bosses, got nearly all achievements in there and still waiting for the lead to drop...

The RNG on this really sucks and what makes it worse is that there are SOOOOOOOOO many other leads that drop there for furniture that end up causing issues too.

I've got about 63k worth of the IA currency just to give you an idea of how much time I've spent running this. I haven't got a single lead yet. This is a horrible drop rate and ZOS should increase it by about 1000% to be honest. People should not have to run the same boring content over and over again for a month to get 1-item. PLEASE CHANGE THIS ZOS!

to be honest 63k is only a lot if you have only been doing arc 1, and only doing arc 1 your chance of getting leads is really low due to less chances for side activities (which is where most of the leads come from as they typically only drop from scamps, marauders, tho'at, and bonus portals)

ive made 60k fortunes on a single run before going to like arc 6 or 7 (those end up being really long runs though so i usually stick to arc 3 or 4 most of the time)

the drop rate in there is awful and i wont go for this mythic anymore. 30h and no lead. Absolute waste of time and not worth it

I am running solo so going to arc 6 or 7 probably isn't possible. I do at least arc 1 and 2 each time and have done numerous side portals and the randomly spawning boss in arc 2 and still nothing. The drop rate it way too low. I hope and pray to see something about this in the patch notes as it needs to be fixed badly. I was pissed off about how long it took to farm Oakensoul but this is on a whole other level of really bad ZOS decisions.

I was doing arc 1 runs for 2 weeks, just grinding empty slots on the leaderboard for the sticker book, and only got 1 lead.

I did a single run that ended on arc 5 just out of boredom and had the rest of the leads by somewhere in arc 4. I am sure some of it was luck with rng, but I think the advice I have heard going around to just run arc 1 is bad.

It took me around ~30 hours of farming archives. Did solo arc 1 and repeat or with my girlfriend we would do till arc 2 and reset. She got leads a little bit faster, but still took around 25 hours for her.

Earned ~200k IA currency by that time.

I don't know, it seemed like I was getting nothing BUT Torc leads, when what I wanted were furnishing leads.

There was a time, before I gave up on it, when I would run IA everyday (mostly till end of Arc 2), and Torc leads seemed to drop every 2-3 runs.

I ran it again last night. At least 3-times to the end of stage 2 and once to the end of stage 3. No leads again. I'm probably up to earning about 80-100k of the IA currency and nothing to show for it for what I actually want. I've received some leads for things that I don't care about, greaaaattttt....

Run it daily up to arc 3. I got my leads in about 2 weeks doing that. I was in there for the gear and style pages, not the leads.

Ran it again last night a few times and still no leads. I must be up to 100K earned in IA currency or close to it. This is NOT fun gameplay ZOS. Do better and increase the drop rate chances of mythic items. Especially this one.

I completed the Torc awhile ago, but I wasn't trying for it. I did complete my stickerbook for IA until Monday.

It took me 6+ months of daily (sometimes more than one a day) arc1-4 runs to complete the codex on the torc.

RNG gonna RNG.

The leads could've been guaranteed drops from, for example, four different minigames & the glass atro that spawns in the Tho'at fight from Arc 2 onwards - which would at least reduce the RNG significantly and give people specific minigames to target, knowing when a particular one spawns that they're guaranteed one of the leads. Instead we - yet again - have leads deposited as chance drops in grindy, insipid content.

Then again, I guess they needed to give Sorc mains an actual reason to run IA, since it sure as hell isn't either of the [snip] sets.
