NO MATE just no
It's DRAGONKNIGHT not poisonknight. You are doing a major change to my class, one of your only 4 classes. Did you asked your community before you went ahead with spending energy on this for one DLC? I LIKE FIRE not poison. Poison is a cowards weapon.
I don't care how competitive poisonknight will be with those characteristics and I don't care how much WORSE would DRAGONKNIGHT remain without them, but I'll tell you this decision of yours will have an impact this time. We still got till DB launch. Get the communities feedback.

They could have kept the poison and just not changed the animations, would have been a fantastic workaround. Now I wonder what the Nightblade disease damage looks like. Do they rip off a chunk of their pustulent flesh and lob it at opponents? There's so much great stuff in this patch, but these animations are real stinkers.

I was feeling the OP until I read your post.

While I love all the fire, I'll be happy with anything that helps my DK. It was my main at launch and I would be happy to have it be OP.

So, what about all those Dunmer DKs? Actually, I have been leveling one, intending it to be my Magicka DK. I haven't read the notes, but will the fire damage buff lose value?

No cynicism here, I love love love this game and the majority of the changes, but I need to voice my opinion over something that looks this revolting. I went from a cool, adventurous scrappy-cat who breathed fire and didn't afraid of anything to someone who pukes on his enemies in the middle of battle. This was literally my worst-case-scenario for the ability changes in terms of aesthetics.

No for Magicka DK you're still fine, this only affects the Stamina morphs of certain abilities.

I really miss the animation of spitting fire....I wish they would compromise and instead of it looking like projectile vomit, maybe make the orange and red flames give off green vapors.

Does annoy me a bit since I created a Dunmer DK alt a month and a half ago and have bought all the bag upgrades and leveled the horse to like 45 more bag slots. She is like level 27 right now and I usually level her when my enlightenment is depleted. Would be lame to have to reroll to just be the generic Altmer or Breton magicka using DK.

I suppose increasing the value of poison could make Argonians great if they get a poison damage buff.

Ah. Cool. Not a problem. My stamina DK is Imperial. Whew.

I look forward to spewing. Are there also poison buffs in the DB skill line?

After hearing that the new stamina dk abilities are green instead of fiery, I'm excited as hell. This is going to look so much better for my khajiit DK.

Sorry, but the new animations make more sense. If you want to stay fire, go magicka. The animation changes only effect two abilities anyways, as far as we know.

Also, you guys arent looking at the stat improvements here.

As a stamina DK, your champion points boost physical, poison, and disease damage. Your measly 7% damage increase to fire as a dunmer wasnt helping all that much. Now you have a potential 20-25% more damage on those abilities via champion points, which will drastically outweigh your racial choice.

If you want to keep you Dummer Dragon Knight just go magic what kind of damage was yours stamina build doing with flames mages still have magic and elemental damage.

Just cause you don't like doesn't mean stamina builds should suffer.

Poison damage is great for the CP synergies, but why change the animations just because the damage type is different? Why have disgusting vomit instead of fire? It's not like your opponent is going to react any differently to the magicka morph versus the stamina morph. Especially now that all the shield types block all damage instead of just damage of a certain type. Before, I might understand because Annulment would only block Magicka damage and Bone Shield would only block Stamina damage, but even before the Stamina users didn't have to suffer through gross animations and opponents would have to take their best guess. I'm fine with all of these changes except the revolting new animations.

I think we need someone to put up a video or some screenshots of the new animations.

The reason they couldnt leave the animations the same is because you need to be able to identify what build and what abilities your opponent is using at a glance in pvp. If the animations were left the same, you'd have a hard time discerning whether that dk you're fighting is stamina or magicka, and that's a critical thing that completely changes how you combat the enemy.

Now, I dont know exactly what the new abilities look like, which is why i'm asking for screenshots or videos. Personally, I would've gone with a "green fire" look for the stamina versions, rather than actual poison/venom. I always liked the look of felfire in warcraft.

That's because the fire and ice they breathe is thu'um. What's to say their claws have no venom? Or their farts aren't as mighty as an ogre's?

I think it will work great with my imperial dk that is stamina based. It will add a bit of variety to the game instead of the same builds being made by everyone.

That's literally already the case in PvP, the stamina morphs on Live look like fire and nobody is having an issue. That's one of the reasons I'm so perturbed by this.

    There are poison dragons too...

Dragon-knight does not necessary mean Fire dmg. Just because it has Dragon in front of the name it doesnt necessary mean its Fire based dmg

    There are:

    Fire Dragons
    Frost Dragons
    Poison Dragons
    Air Dragons
    Death Dragons
    Earth Dragons

There might be more I dont know, but that's it.
If I die tomorrow I do not want to think of the game I could of played today, therefor I will play whatever I want today while securing a future to play in as well.
