If you think it must be fire "because dragons", play Skyrim again.
I asked about poison dragons in Skyrim before, nobody answered. Care to share some insight?
    (I'd pay for a frost-based class, though)

Sure! And I would also pay for a frost-based class to be honest.

Actually, it is more like "they can do things that poisons do in the game", which is the Drain Vitality shout that they can use. At least two kinds of dragons can do that, off the top of my head, the Revered Dragon and Durnehviir the undead dragon.

Also, just out of curiosity since people mentioned the difference between dragons and wyverns, Peryite is depicted as a dragon (an actual dragon, in our sense of the word, with four legs and a pair of wings), though then disease damage would make more sense than poison. But Peryite is the absolute worst Daedric Prince, like objectively the worst, like the "being-picked-last-on-the-Daedric-dodgeball-games" worst, so everybody ignores that.

Well technically, DK doing Poison and NB doing Disease fits a bit better than the other way around:

    - Certain dragons have the ability to not only breathe fire but spit poison/attack with poison spines as well. Lorewise it fits and gamewise it fits too considering the DK is DoT-based. Poison is a DoT, Disease isn't
    - NB and Assassins usually catch ppl off-guard, meaning their victims can't react as fast as possible. With Disease reducing the effectiveness of healing, it's the best fit for a NB

Yeah it makes sense, I was just pointing out Peryite's depiction as a dragon despite him being the "Daedric Lord of Pestilence" (colds and sore feet or something).

The plague :p (think I made a quick mention of him here too)

I do not like Peryite very much (if you didn't notice) :P

Weirdly enough, none of the plagues that actually decimated a significant chunk of the population were attributed to Peryite.

I kinda liked Peryite back during the days of Daggerfall, as he was one of the more hospitable and kinder Daedric Princes. Oblivion too. But then Skyrim came and made him a Daedric Prince of Sickness and Plagues >_>

There's a mention in Shadowfen that the Ayleids may have created the Knahaten Flu, and since many of the Ayleids that fled Cyrodiil were Daedra worshippers, it's possible that Peryite may have influenced them in creating the Flu. Who knows, maybe the Sload listened to Peryite too when they unleashed the Thrassian Plague.

Ofc, that's just speculation, but it might be possible :p

    There are:

    Fire Dragons
    Frost Dragons
    Poison Dragons
    Air Dragons
    Death Dragons
    Earth Dragons

There might be more I dont know, but that's it.

Hey don't forget "Hidden Dragons" and their pet, Crouching Khajiit or was it....ah hell nm lol.
As for the DK changes, odd is not the first word to come to mind...but interesting for sure. I'm still hoping for a new class like the Sword Singers or something else

They should make it so a silhouette of a dragon comes out of your character to spew forth their poison throwup. Like just the neck/head of a dragon.

Would look a lot more epic.

Maybe they gave this project to some newly hired guys that use to work at Blizzard and they still thought they we're doing Death Knight animation designs for WoW  . You know, those kinda "employees" who have a hard time letting go of their old jobs lol.

Trying to figure out why so many people assume that because of the name 'Dragonknight' that it means the class has to be associated with DRAGONS... instead of accepting that it is just a name for people with specialized skills... not meaning they are in any way associated with actual dragons.

It might have to do with this lorebook where dragonknights are found chanting "We are dragon knights, we are dragons".

    Excerpt:

We are dragon knights. We are dragons.
If you attack us, you will meet talons.
If you strike us, you will eat spikes.
If you injure us, our wounds will close.
If you anger us, you will burn.
If you run from us, we will pounce upon you.
You cannot win. We cannot lose.
We are dragon knights. We are dragons.

Well, technically they could chant 'We are daedra" but it certainly isn't going go mean they are actual daedra. :p

The changes are beneficial for a stam build. Good to see more of the stam morphs changed to damage that is inline with a good CP build for stam.

Corrosive Armor. It actually has a really cool green body glow effect to it (still undesired because I like the orange, but I digress), but then it has what looks like rotten bits of bubbling flesh falling off you and floating in the air.

I wouldn't mind the poison change at all if the skills actually looked cooler. Puking green bile isn't exactly what I imagined when picking Dragonknight. Green fire would be better.

Ah yes, fire resistance, because that's totally relevant in PvP. What would you do when you see a DK suddenly puking on you instead of breathing fire? Run away so you can equip your poison resist rings instead? That's a completely unrealistic scenario. Further, they could just add damage type in the death recap, or players could actually remember with their brain whether or not they're getting hit with the stam morph of an ability versus the magicka morph. I don't see anyone complaining on Live right now that they don't know when to pop Annulment or Bone Shield because they can't figure out if they're getting hit by the stam version or the magicka version.

I hate the change for one reason. I chose a dark elf for my stamknight for the extra flame damage and now this change completely makes my choice obsolete. I hope we have race changes with this update, because I am not happy about this. They did exactly what I feared they would start doing this update, balancing the game AROUND CPs instead of balancing CPs around the base game. Absolute nonsense.

That's because your build isn't very good. They are balancing the game. WE the community asked for balance and they are giving it to us. You play a stamina build whose attacks you thought to boost through fire? Which is a magical ability? Really? Tell me that was a joke. If you want fire damage roll magika. I recommend the elf bane set. With skoria. And will power rings. Nirn daggers. But hey maybe the new sets will be even more amazing.
