I have just seen and oddly jolly broadcast from ZOS in which they confirm that IC is basically a w... gankfest for griefers over PvE and proper PvP players... so good luck subscribers or crown paying PvE players ZOS are giggly like loons about you being ganked by griefers... not only that but if groups zerg individuals the group shares the stones... 20 vs 1 is their new sad meta...

This is so frelling sad I am shocked to watch them drool over it..

I had really hoped this would be player friendly but it isn't - this is all about feeding sad trolls...

    Its terrible how with smile on they face they just announced that someone who spend several hours working to get something will lose 100% of it.

    Not to mention the IC map looks so small that AOE zerg trains will make a circle in like 5 minute taking down anyone who tries to exit IC or enter it.

    If that is the case, then those who mainly PvE (such as myself) are simply going to have to go into IC with a large group of their guild members that do PvP. I also PvP, but it's not something I particularly enjoy doing.

    I have to say that the first time someone kills me and takes all my stones will be the last time I go into that zone. I am sorry but I do not share the vision that losing something to another player because they ganked me is somehow thrilling to me. It is not.

    Maybe this is a thrill for some, but it is not for me.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Well, I'm sure each faction will be in control of a particular campaign, so that should make for a little ease. (unless they announced dropping it to one campaign)

    Enter the city on your factions new version of buff server, dont play solo, ...log out if/when its under attack :)

    There will be ways to get around it
    If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    For sure, but you can't steal my gear - I expect you to try and kill me (and then die trying) but when one of us dies we keep the things we worked for.

    To be fair, they just said that PvE questers will be rewarded with boxes of TV stones that can't be looted. You can wait until you get to the bank to open up the boxes. So, not as bad as I thought. :)

    If more people see IC for what is is (a pvp update) maybe it wouldn't seem such a strange idea. You've got a choice to either buy IC and give the pvp/pve crossbred a shot, or don't buy it and wait for Orsinium/Wrothgar, which I assume will be 100% pve. But IC was always known to be a pvp update, probably the only additional pvp zone to come to this game ever in fact. So lets stop with the campaigning to take the pvp elements out of IC. Everything from IC onwards will likely be 100% pve

    Major update for the PVPer in this update.

    Major fail for the PVEer.

    Listening to the broadcast an hour and a half in and as PVEer I have absolutely no reason to get the DLC.

    Maybe there is more? But that is how it looks so far.

    Great for the content starved PVPers. U have lots to look forward to.

    Owned isn't the word for what is about to happen. You may be back here in a while posting about being killed every time you spawn. I think that's what he meant.

    They confirmed that the larger the group you run with the lesser the gains in Tel Var Stones. They also stated for you to make the most of those gains youll need to hold onto the stones longer as they give a multiplier. They want you in small groups. Because while youre farming hundreds even thousands of these stones. Others can sweep in, kill you take thousands of stones off of you and you just have to shrug and go back to farming. And the thing is, the stones arent broken up amongst the Gankers. It goes straight to the guy with the killing blow. So its a huge payday for the guy that takes less then 30 seconds to burn you down to cash in on your hours upon hours of work.

    Youre only means of getting out alive is to sneak back to your home base in the sewers...Which Gankers can linger in as well or go through a Dungeon and come out safely in your Capital City.

    They are also going to test the amounts on PTS and may change the 100 percent loot rate based upon feedback.

    You can also buy a teleport stone directly to your alliance sewer base with the stones.

    I will never understand this community.
    1. Community complains the game is too easy and there's no punishment for dying.
    2. ZOS implements Tel Var stones.
    3. Community gets upset because there is now punishment for dying...in PvP.

    - People PvE for Tel Var stones (which can be traded in for probably the best VR16 sets in the game)
    - If a player who has a stone, or multiple stones, in his bag gets killed by another player, the killer gets the stone(s)?

    How does it work if more than one person gets a hit on him? Who gets the stone(s)?
    Disabling the grass may improve performance.

    This is a horrible idea and just a grieving system. TV stones should not be lost when you get killed. This system is going to cause a lot of rage.

    The stones are divided between all players who killed you, which is supposed to disincentivize zerging because individual returns will be very small in such a large group.

    If nothing changes, I will not be buying the Imperial City. I well and truly suck at PvP and I'm not keen on paying for the opportunity to be ganked and robbed. I'm tempted by the two new dungeons, but... It's fine though, I knew this update would strongly lean towards PvP, so I expected I wouldn't be very interested in it.

    I love PvP, I don't love having my time stolen by a macroing C**t that ZOS can't be bothered to fix.

    My wife simply will not be bothering as she dislikes PvP and hates griefers more.

    Damage is being reduced by 50% with IC so the insta-kills won't be as easy. ttk in cyrodiil (without constant shield staking) is currently far to fast. So survival is going to get easier.

    I'll bet that teleport stone only works once. This looks like something that I won't be getting. I'll try to check it out on PTS. But I'm not optimistic that as a pve'r that this is something for me.

    I am really happy that the PvP'rs are getting new content. You guys have been waiting so much longer than we have.

    Content starved WHOLE community, ZOS adds content for "all" to the side of the game the least amount of players play. Not that hard to grasp why people are upset.

    There would be O complaint from PVE'ers if the new gear they were asked to achieve were given to them in a PVE manner. How long have we seen complaints about PVP'ers forced to PVE? (how long has the game been out?) PVE'ers have a year+ of complaining to catch up to :D

    I would be happy that this PvP update that was long delayed contains so much PvE and progression in it. If you want to be relatively safe all you need to do is lock out the other factions and pay attention to the map. Leave with your loot before they come in and AoE bomb.

    Its really not that hard.
