    So is this correct....?

    - People PvE for Tel Var stones (which can be traded in for probably the best VR16 sets in the game)
    - If a player who has a stone, or multiple stones, in his bag gets killed by another player, the killer gets the stone(s)?

How does it work if more than one person gets a hit on him? Who gets the stone(s)?
The stones are divided between all players who killed you, which is supposed to disincentivize zerging because individual returns will be very small in such a large group.

If nothing changes, I will not be buying the Imperial City. I well and truly suck at PvP and I'm not keen on paying for the opportunity to be ganked and robbed. I'm tempted by the two new dungeons, but...

Oh thank you for that info. But what if the poor guy only had one stone? So if 3 people killed him they each get 0.33 of a stone?

    Just trying to understand.. >_<

They said if it doesn't divide evenly the extras are given randomly.

Wow, ok, more RNG. Just what I love most about MMOs..... not. >_<

Well it is just for leftovers.. considering a one use teleport stone is 500. Worrying about who gets 1 extra stone randomly because you group overkill someone in PVP seems kinda petty.

It looks like they are trying to encourage groups of 4 (base mobs are 4 stones each). With maybe small teams working together on bosses.

The hope is that bigger PVP fight will be between people with more than 4 stones total.

Uhh, not being petty. Just trying to comprehend this bizarre system. If it's not even possible for someone to only have 1 stone, shoot me, I guess. :-P

Yeah, anyone can hope certain things will happen. But it's not like people are gonna be like, "Oh that dude probably doesn't have much-- I won't attack him." lol

Yeah someone could technically have 1 stone, but it seems unlikely.

Also have to remember engagement distance.

Anyone that is not at their gate to their craft/safe area, or next to a graveyard, will probably have something. If they get far enough from their safe spot (and the other friendly players also fighting away from their safe spot) to a point where you can safely kill them, they will probably have some stones, just from getting to the location where you are fighting.

Doesn't look really solo friendly. Someone soling for 4 stones a pop will probably be right next to the gate to safe area. People you are likely to fight will have come out in a small group (at least) mowing down a lot of stuff on the way... so they will have stones.

Hmm interesting, yes, I can see it playing out that way.. the new meta may be small groups of virtually unkillable sustain/tank builds with a healer or two for good measure.. not going to make PvP much fun IMO.

Disabling the grass may improve performance.

The champion system is fine. It rewards work and effort. The VR system and the champion system together is the issue.

We were lead to believe that the champion system would replace VR. Now it seems that was not a true statement so here lies that issue

VR needed to be removed with Imperial City release.

Really people. Stop complaining. There are plenty of ways for you to safeguard your stones. Just be intelligent about it.

The whining comes from a shocked PvE community. I wish a had a Tel Var stone for every time I read someone tell PvPer's that this was a PvE game. Guess what, It's not.

In short: your ass is toasted by pvp all around you, ganked into oblivion in pvp and you'll lose all your damn stones = no gear for pve players eventhough the stones can ONLY be gathered in pve instances.

I have just seen and oddly jolly broadcast from ZOS in which they confirm that IC is basically a w... gankfest for griefers over PvE and proper PvP players... so good luck subscribers or crown paying PvE players ZOS are giggly like loons about you being ganked by griefers... not only that but if groups zerg individuals the group shares the stones... 20 vs 1 is their new sad meta...

This is so frelling sad I am shocked to watch them drool over it..

I had really hoped this would be player friendly but it isn't - this is all about feeding sad trolls...

For sure, but you can't steal my gear - I expect you to try and kill me (and then die trying) but when one of us dies we keep the things we worked for.

You will have to be more cautious instead of having things handed to you :) .
