Splosh✭✭I'm really intrigued as to how someone could bypass the security (2 factor authentication for unknown computer) in place to log into someone else's account, without knowing the password, as this would seem to be the case here.
The login server and the game server are two different things, so in order to be able to hijack this poor dudes account, you would have to be able to somehow authenticate to the login server as person A, then change the variables being sent to the server from the login server to person B, but you would have to know person Bs identifier in the login server as well as their authentication chain for the game server to accept it.
That's basically just reading the network traffic of the game and its inner workings like a phone switch, not sure someone has taken the time to do that.
Unless there is something wonky going on with the handshake between login server and megaserver that is changing people's identities around. <- that would be hilariously bad.

They also deleted a Warden of mine. Not sure why. I suspect their main is a Templar and they're still bitter about Major Mending and Blazing Spear Stun.
Passwords have been changed, also.
Well, yea.. that makes sence for the permition part. Yet, I dont feel this is the reason. It's a personal account issue, does not justify for a whole server roll back and neither a hotfix mantainance. ZOS should be capable of returning such amount of items/gold after a proper investigation, as has done before to a friend of mine with out the need of going global.
And why the hell they would delete a toon? Warden hate there...

completed a questline on an alt, and got an Impenetrable drop one a gear I was looking for for PvP,
but would be fine with a rollback if it is for the well-being of the game

Good. You should report the issue privately to ZOS, and wait for the investigation as the protocol says...
Saying the hot fix ON BOTH servers due to your personal web browser and game log in account in one of those servers for a hijacking issue, and panic people about a roll back, it's not the way to do it.
If you have evidence, then ZOS would care of it as has before.0 -

Forum account may be diferent to game log in account. Hence, the date you join forums to post might be desync with the date you actually started playing the game.
