Due to the nature of the exploit, we aren't able to divulge any details. That said, you can rest assured that we will be fixing it, and any accounts found to be abusing it will be taken care of.

What if you didn't do an exploit intentionally? Me and a group of friends got the no death on our first run, despite dying on the last boss countless times. We were confused as to how we even got the achievement, especially when we had someone dc at the last boss, and we got in a random, that also got the achievement.

    This isn't for the no-death achievement - you're fine. :)

would you be able to clarify exactly what the exploit was once its fixed? please? I know, I know, curiosity killed the cat and all, but would just really like to know. don't say how it was done, just what was it that people accomplished with it.

We certainly avoid taking the server offline during prime time, but in this case, the issue was serious enough to require us to apply a fix immediately.

ZOS start to consider 'the collection' - Subscription Time - period of the game only, exclusively, when we are online?

Well if it was something similar to what the Great House Hlaalu (which might i add, is not the greatest of the great houses) leader was talking about, you could still mess around with people's accounts. Even if the game server is offline.

Any MMO server going down for unscheduled maintenance without much of a warning usually means the bug is very severe. I smell duplication bug.

They don't take servers down for duplication bugs afaik. These have been in game for weeks shortly after launch and they didn't care - not enough to take servers down for instant fix, anyway. I'd guess Crown Store because THAT they'd react to alright...or perhaps indeed something related to account security.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, I understand you're simply saying what you're allowed to say and I assume you won't be allowed to say what it is even after it's fixed, but what is the actual reasoning for this total lack of transparency? Surely if you're getting this fixed it cannot possibly harm anyone to know what it actually was.

Unless there is a law or legal requirement, there shouldn't be a reason to not be 'allowed to say' - at least in the most generic terms.. e.g. some people were found to 'get' 50 items for the price of 1 - whatever - without giving up the exploit (so people dont frantically try to discover it) and sure do this after you take the servers down.

There is no 'not allowed' - its simply a 'choose not to' because most users tolerate it and *some* would rather focus on flower or kitten memes ;)

I meant being allowed/not allowed by her higher-ups rather than the actual laws. ZOS on the whole doesn't seem to be much on transparency/communication in general and I'd imagine community managers basically just tell the players what they're told/allowed to tell themselves, not what they personally choose to.

Yeah i'd lose about 625k or something over night but I'd rather sacrifice those sales if it meant someone to get there 3 year progression back tbh, also means they can just go literally buy it again so all not lost

Well, that might depend on if it really is about a server roll back or not. Since account stealing is mostly done by gold sellers. And those you do not want to warn ahead of time that you're cracking down on their key accounts before you can do some real serious damage. of the type that will cost them actual money instead of in game gold.

To touch on what I was saying...for the dude up there that thinks it's a personal attack.

They kicked people in the Guild to make room for their other accounts to get added to our Guild. We're always at capacity, so have to kick to invite.

They promoted other accounts to speed-up the purge of the Bank and to gain access to the Bank, as only Officers have access (good time to touch base on the Guild Overhaul ESO so desperately needs!).

They at least had the decency to re-promote me to GM (LOL) and our Officers. Shame they kicked a few OG Beta / Psijic Order members when they were making room. ***...

They also bought Crown Crates and unlocked some mounts. In my original ticket, I noted that behavior as a method to prove it wasn't me. I cannot stand Crown Crates. haha

They also deleted a Warden of mine. Not sure why. I suspect their main is a Templar and they're still bitter about Major Mending and Blazing Spear Stun.

    Passwords have been changed, also.
Wake up, we're here. Why are you shaking? Are you ok? Wake up...

This is ZOS - Their on/off switch is RNG based, so they only have a 1 in 6 million chance of getting the result they want whenever they press it. They are thinking about introducing a token system to make it faster, but there's no ETA yet.
