All of my Stonefalls and Deshaan quests reset. Wonderful, subscription-quality work right here, guys. I'm going to start screen-shotting my stats..everything each time I log on, so I can keep track of what I have, and may lose in the future because of "fixes."

Zenimax, don't bother having play-testers if you're not going to listen to a word of their reports. Save us all the time, and for goodness sakes, just stop the lies, because that is all the PTS is...a big fat hype-machine for the most dedicated VR Guilds to show off what's to come under the guise of "testing."

We did not pay $100 and then another $15 monthly to test the game for you. You should have listened to your PTS players. Hiccups with fledgling MMO's are understood, this is not the case. This is blundering through a "Push it out the door, patch it later" demeanor that needs to stop.

Seriously, when it comes out as fact that you knew for weeks before, and released it anyway, we have every right and reason to be angry.

This happened to my husband and I both. We both had all Auridon quests and in one view it says we have 0/37, but in another view - under quests - general I think - it shows we have the achievement. Very demoralizing. Glad to hear it's being worked on.
  • TenAngryPistols
Whether its truly a cosmetic issue or not, what bothers me is why a fix has not yet been applied to the PTS if the PTS players were reporting it weeks ago.

If it were simply cosmetic, it should be easy (or easier) to fix... right? I mean I don't know much about how the programming/databases would work in this regards so I'm not claiming any "know-how"... but it makes sense to me.

They said a fix will be available in at least a few weeks... well technically it's been more than a few weeks since the issue was reported. So... again... if it's only cosmetic... what could make it take this long to fix?

Additionally, to reiterate what I think other people have said in a round about way... if we continue to progress and complete quests etc, in light of my previous paragraphs, how can we be guaranteed we will not run into more issues down the road when a "fix" is applied.

I done Auridon and completed all quests there. Toothmaul gully included. I checked that map the other day and Toothmaul gully was black, so I went and redone the quest. I have 2 bear traps (the unique quest reward) in my inventory to prove it. I think I might gotten an extra skill point for completing the quest again, and in my Journal says I have 1/x Auridon quests completed. SO I think is more than a UI Bug...since it's counting the quests again. And no I didn't manage to repeat any other quest.

Exactly, when they "fixed" the Stormhaven Acheivements. It fixed them, but only if you had not yet completed them. Anyone who had those quests completed were left out. This patch was supposed to address the retroactively crediting completed achievements.

Instead, it broke all the acheivements.

    Surprised that we are skeptical?

Because they say so on all other threads (except this one) that's it's all cosmetic ^^

I am one of those players that have NOT logged in at all after the patch. From the very minute people opened this thread and started writing about various issues I got the feeling that this 'patch' would not end well.

So more wait for my part, until everything calms and gets fixed.
The picture on the wall is chaotic.

Hey there, everyone. We'd like to provide some additional information on some of the issues associated with this recent patch. The missing achievements are not actually missing, as it's strictly a visual UI error. Rest assured, all your data still exists, so you can still continue to play and gain achievements. We'll be pushing a fix as soon as we can.

The quest rollback issue has been fixed since today's patch. Keep in mind that if you completed one step of a quest that was changed with the patch, you may be required to start the quest again. If you accepted or progressed at all on a step for which the prerequisites were changed, it may get removed entirely from your Journal and you will need to re-accept it once you have the correct prerequisites. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, be sure to submit a ticket so that our Support Team can investigate further.

We appreciate your patience, and for helping to report these issues. In the future, be sure to also check out our Dev Tracker so you can stay up-to-date on any developer posts. Thanks!

@Cogo‌ I think the issue here is people don't fully believe the claim that it is strictly cosmetic. From what I can tell they change the achievement names, which means they are now reading and writing to a new DB table (probably) and don't have access/sync with the data in the previous table. So yeah, I guess that is sort of cosmetic.

The concern many people have is that when they "fix" this it will mean copying the old data into the new table and if they don't do it right they will overwrite any quest complete points that happen from now until when the fix is applied.

Yes, competent developers and good QA on the fix should allow for a merging of the two tables so data isn't lost from progress made in between.

However, I think a lot of people don't necessarily have confidence that they can do that fix properly and not lose data from progress made in between. Especially after the Cragfail patch debacle that caused this.
Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I must admit, alot of those issues people out there are experiencing could seem on a bad database transfer/merge.

Something is not right with alot of the issues, f.ex the missing textures and people who cannot login could point that some data is not being updated.

This is also what I understood the issue to be, as someone earlier in this thread also suggested the same thing. Which from the little bit I've done with databases... makes perfect sense. "Cosmetic" would be a bit misleading imo...

But alas, back to my original point... If they were aware of it weeks ago when it was first brought to their attention... why the delay in fixing it? Why do they need a few MORE weeks than they've already had? Does it really take weeks to fix an issue like this? Why even roll out that part of the update in the first place...

Personally my biggest frustration with all these issues is the fact they felt the need to release such a huge content update AS WELL as patches/fixes. Why not fix what you "know" you can fix immediately/quickly?

Regarding achievement they already last night commented on it that even if they are gone from your journal, its not gone. You have them. They just dont show.

    Let me post again aswell...

If it would be STRICTLY A VISUAL UI ERROR then all my achievements should show up 0/55 for instance, but the quests i did AFTER the patch did count because i am at 8/55 this very moment for Deshaan, and i DIDN'T get the achievement for completing that zone...

Thank you very much for the compliment! Made me smile! =)

Regarding your achievements or other problems. Just look at the devs threads and post in there.

As well as bug-report in game. Way to many people do not do that because they don't think it will do much good.

Well, doing nothing isnt solving it either, is it.

There is 1 bug the DEVS early last night spoke of and if your hirelings do not bring you anything, you must contact support in game and they will send the items.

Ok 1 question: Why in Gods name is this forum called Customer Support - English?

You're suggesting we should go read about 1% of really important stuff that they actually manage to fix?

I was always under the impression people needed to post their problems in here... hence the name Customer Support, but i have yet to receive one reply or even an e-mail adressing one of the many problems i've posted.

So far your argument about doing nothing isn't solving anything... Or is it?

I have this issue too. All of my quest achievements are gone except for the Rift, where my character currently was when the megapatch went through. I had Deshaan and Eastmarch done, possibly Stonefalls and Shadowfen would have been done now that they dropped the quest number reqs. I sent a ticket in about it as well. There's an additional problem where when I traveled to Eastmarch to see if that would kick my quests achievements back to where they supposed to be it took away the quest counters completely.

    wtssxn8r1afv.bmp

You can see that where the little arrows for the drop-downs usually are, there are none.

ETA: Just checked and my Giant-Friend, Skald King's Arrow and Skald King's Salvation are all missing. Under the Ebonheart Hero drop down Eastmarch and Deshaan are still checked off as done but seriously, it matters to me that those achievements are missing. And seriously, someone telling me to chill out because it's "just a UI bug and it'll be fixed"? Sod off.

Same issue. All my Daggerfall Covenant quests are reset. I was two short in the Alik'r Desert and a handful in the following zone. Didn't even check my characters in the other factions because that's kinda frustrating.

Really hope this will be fixed and reinstated soon.

All of my chars who had passed all the Alliance territories (except the recent one for any of them) lost all Achievements for them. Etc etc

Take the time to actually read what is being posted here and it's still a freaking UI bug according to you then they need to make a seperate section for the special needs people...
