I asked in Zone Chat (VR5 in Bangkori) if any non S/B Templars were having trouble after today's update. I got 6 replies in under 10 seconds. I myself am having a hell of a time as 2H Templar, although I can squeak through 3 mobs about 33% of the time. I tried a "solo" dungeon and couldn't even make it past the first room.
So I went and took a look at twitch - I watched a VR10 engage 3 trash cats, wearing full purple heavy armor, with his shield up, and he got hit 6 times (twice from each cat) for 500 each, in under 2 seconds. Splat, dead.
How is this fun or fair? This is only a very brief survey of what's happening right this moment. This needs to be hotfixed ASAP.
Why this wasnt on the PTS?
What happens between the PTS and the patch release?

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Considering that this patch gives me an effective +10% spell crit, I doubt it'll take many more elemental rings to bring any group down, Worst case scenario? Put elemental drain on them first and the cost will be basically what it was before. Oh, the horror!
stop considering, and go play, when you crawl back, we will be kind
I will when the patch hits. If I have any issues whatsoever, I'll be sure to admit to it publicly in this thread.Ok I am now sure that it is a bug,
I went to Craglorn and went against a group of 4 scorpions they had 2.5k hp each they died from my usual approach. Humans in VR7 zones have 3.5k and I only manged to take out a 3 pack once by mistake.
...though this does make it seem like a bug, Craglorn mobs should be harder than V7, not easier.
It appears there was somewhat of a buff to mobs outside of Veteran zones as well... I decided to level an alt, and since my main has already done the quests I've just been grinding to level this character. Last night, I levelled from level 28 to 29 grinding level 30 mobs, having no trouble with packs of three. I logged off as soon as I hit 29. Today, after the patch, those same mobs seem to be hitting harder and dying slower. I now run out of stamina before the mobs die, and the mobs hit hard enough (with armor over soft cap) to kill me before I can finish them off. I'm a level higher and nothing else has changed since last night, patch notes don't mention anything about the abilities I'm using being nerfed... so it seems all mobs may have received a buff.

Yes. It is a bug. I just took on a group of 8 VR11 bloodfiends with my NB siphoning tank but died against two beetles in Greenshade. The VR11 difficulty is where I would expect them to be considering the progression up to the patch. This is a progression hindering bug for anybody bellow VR10.

Well first of all you could have easily avoided the volley damage. Stop standing in AOE markers, it's a start.

3 NPC's are no longer soloable. 2 NPC's are very challenging without taking a potion every single time.
But two-handed with heavy armour was always useless anyway, so...not surprised. Now you just have to stand around waiting for help all the time, instead of just some of the time.
Logged out.
This can't be intended. Seems like a pretty large change to just slip in.
Maybe ZOS can shed some light? @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

I am convinced the PTS crowd doesn't actually test the game. Rather, they spend the entire time looking for ways to exploit the game and learn the new content so they can power through it. PTS testers, by and large, are a joke. Perhaps that is why the P is being changed from Private to Public with every subscriber being granted access to it in the future, per ZOS. Maybe then this game and its patches will actually receive some decent testing by actual players and fans of the game and ES in general.
