VR Difficulty change?

    yeah, death recap telling me normal mobs are hitting me for 400-1000 each. As if the armour is not even calculated in the damage mitigation.

    I am convinced the PTS crowd doesn't actually test the game. Rather, they spend the entire time looking for ways to exploit the game and learn the new content so they can power through it. PTS testers, by and large, are a joke. Perhaps that is why the P is being changed from Private to Public with every subscriber being granted access to it in the future, per ZOS. Maybe then this game and its patches will actually receive some decent testing by actual players and fans of the game and ES in general.

    Yeah it's frustrating. I would like some kind of acknowledgement from anyone if this is a new feature or bug. I hope the latter. I can't my crit percentages to show up on the character screen; it's just blank there. I don't use recount or combat log addon so I can't tell if I am even critting for anything (my crit is pretty low anyways).

    Ahh patches. They are always interesting to the say the least. My escape key also broke for a moment randomly in a menu.

    It appears there was somewhat of a buff to mobs outside of Veteran zones as well... I decided to level an alt, and since my main has already done the quests I've just been grinding to level this character. Last night, I levelled from level 28 to 29 grinding level 30 mobs, having no trouble with packs of three. I logged off as soon as I hit 29. Today, after the patch, those same mobs seem to be hitting harder and dying slower. I now run out of stamina before the mobs die, and the mobs hit hard enough (with armor over soft cap) to kill me before I can finish them off. I'm a level higher and nothing else has changed since last night, patch notes don't mention anything about the abilities I'm using being nerfed... so it seems all mobs may have received a buff.

    Yes. It is a bug. I just took on a group of 8 VR11 bloodfiends with my NB siphoning tank but died against two beetles in Greenshade. The VR11 difficulty is where I would expect them to be considering the progression up to the patch. This is a progression hindering bug for anybody bellow VR10.

    it would be ridiculous if they recoded damage mitigation completely wrong in this patch.

    For a big operation to make such mistake, if it was a mistake, it just shows the level of (in)competence here.

    Mate all i know is , yesterday , i went into a solo dungeon , got it done , it was never easy , but done.

    I entered the same dungeon today , could not get past the first pack on mobs.

    Then i left the game.

    Some of the creatures in this game did insane amounts of damage before this patch. Been more than once I've had to sprint away from a couple of imps or the likes before being killed. Yet i could take down trash mobs on my own with little trouble.
    Imagine how much of an issue trying to kill trolls or gargoyles will be now :#

    I'm a nightblade. Normally my surprise attack will take off 60-75% of their health. Now it is taking off like 20%.

    I have a dps meter which shows me my surprise attacks are doing the same amount. I don't have mob HP information but it seems like it went way up.

    It is such a huge pain in the ass. Takes forever to kill. Luckily I can just sneak by most everything otherwise I would quit. VR levels were already a chore but now it is like i'm doing slave labor.

    My god, solo in VR is pretty much impossible now. vetrank.jpg This isn't from a boss but just standard enemies. I mean really? I don't even have an attack that can do that kind of damage. 1048 damage on a single attack? This isn't a boss!

    Well first of all you could have easily avoided the volley damage. Stop standing in AOE markers, it's a start.

    It was in a tight area with nowhere to go. Still it would not have made a difference if they used normal attacks. They are still way too hard.

    I got one shot by a charge from a VR10 normal skeleton warrior NPC. I was blocking but just short of stam I guess. Usually this would just knock me down but it just killed me....grrr.

    3 NPC's are no longer soloable. 2 NPC's are very challenging without taking a potion every single time.

    But two-handed with heavy armour was always useless anyway, so...not surprised. Now you just have to stand around waiting for help all the time, instead of just some of the time.

    I think I'm done playing until they fix this issue. Buffed mobs along with what appears to be a cooldown timer on all abilities makes this an impossible game to do solo.

    Mobs can be killed no problem. But eso took out the part of enjoyment of relaxation and enjoyment in the game. Replaced it with high tension and frustration. I perfer playing a game I can feel relaxed and I am not nerfed as a player every week.

    Well if you can't solo solo content in the game then something is wrong. Was it intended to make all veteran rank content group content? Or did they make all veteran rank mobs think they are in Craglorn by mistake?

    Screw you. You're nothing but a jealous prick that didn't get invited to PTS and wants to blame them for your shortcomings.

    I can tell you for a fact that we've had these same issues on PTS for months. We've submitted tons of bug reports and feedback reports just to see things not get fixed, or even worse, to see changes go in the opposite direction. I've been playing a Nightblade since July and have begged for changes and fixes. Many, many of the testers quit a month before release in disgust over this crap. I know many people that tested over a year that have left in the last month.

    I, personally, posted on the PTS forums before launch asking what the purpose of having us as testers if they weren't going to listen.

    Stop crying about the testers.

    I don't understand, how does Zmax think this is fun? Making players frustrated is not providing challenge! Introduce new tactics and abilities for enemies, don't buff their stats to ridiculous amounts...

    Drain nerfed, also, by the way. I was getting 35 magicka per hit, now I get 18. It is worthless now. Oh, and yeah, impulse and its morphs are almost doubled in magicka costs.

    Yep, mobs have less hp, deal less damage, etc. You just gotta watch for if its a pack of 3 or a pack of 6.
