Sure, the Assassination and Siphoning offer synergies with regular skill-trees (e.g.Dual-wield, Restoration-staff), but they're minor, and good on paper. In practice, they're slow and weak.

Is it as good at AEing down easymobs as the other classes? no.
Can it do other things better? yes.
Really? Could you please prove your point? Is there anything crucial to your gameplay that NB offers you exclusively? Something that any other class does not have, as you claim? Please, tell us.
    - Teleporting? Sorc.
    - Spell/weapon critical? Depends on gear.
    - Sneak? Underpowered, still - Alchemy.
    - Leeching strikes? Except for DK, you can get mana/stamina-loop with every other class.

I will quote a recent conclusion about a NB that sums it up: "Apart from gaining nothing extremely unique, you are still not better in anything."

Don't get me wrong. I freakin' love the class, and its flavor. But mechanically, there is nothing great to offer and this is the cost of jack-of-all-trades.

With any other class you can be relatively easily succesfull. With a Nightblade? Not without serious tweaking and heavy skill-planning.

Vids or didn't happen. What did you do to survive? I mean, going solo VR1 NB for 14-level Spindleclutch dungeon is just bad. And with 14-level character we'll just die there in seconds like a puppets.

I'm playing veteran content in a group, We leveled with the rings and only play together. So my opinion of it. Its a crappy boring pointless grind. Quests that give out 2k xp? 5 stage quests that give out a couple of scraps of xp? Being forced to quest in other factions area? We've been at vr 1 for a few days and I lost all will to play pure and simple.

I probably won't stomach the pointlessness of vet content to make it to vet 2 ever at this rate. They need to do something or people will start to trickle back to their old mmos. We are still subbed to swtor now and slowly pulling back towards it.

    And yes, Vamps are overpowered.

As it happens I agree with everything you just wrote. I would love to see some more useful abilities (as the majority aren't that useful/no one selects them - particularly the active abilities).

However, that doesn't mean NBs are underpowered. We do have a core of useful abilities (Dark Cloak is excellent for the PvE grind AND PvP, as one example. Would I like to see it last a little longer? yeah, would be nice).

Probably my main gripe with NB is that it should have passives that allow for faster restealthing (particularly in PvP) since after a kill you can be in the 'detected' state for anything up to 20s. Which is an eternity when there are plenty of players around.

I don't want to see a vanish that can be used in combat. However, I think if you successfully kill someone or they run out of a certain range (like bolt sorcs) then the detection period should be cancelled entirely.

I can think of a few others too, but this probably isn't the place for that.

Bow users can do excellent dmg. Its just Single Target, which is why most dungeon groups get sad about you being there.

Which is why you need an AE bar

By the looks of it I'm guessing minor difficulty adjustment to veteran zones coming in future. So many already saying it might be a bit too hard.

You must be new here. Zenimax doesn't do things in a "minor" fashion.

They'll drag out a sledgehammer and smash it with all of their might until there's nothing left but dust, then they'll take out a dustdevil and suck that up too.

well a lot of things have been said here.
Primarily the key being said, and the truth of it is.
You have to experiment especially at Vet to figure out the quirks.
Not until Vet did I truly start to feel like I was capable of doing well. I say this because now the mobs do require you have some idea of when / what to do especially.
I am a Heavy Templar, and I still run in the world more often than not solo. I learned quick that in my situation its play smart. Take a moment and think how you are approaching the next battle, actually look at the targets in the area. Which one do I smash on first?
I am not DPS heavy, so I have got my attacks / defense down to a working science, and I am really enjoying the Vet area now.
Of course the other key is, sometimes you gotta run into a fight with a total stranger and help bash their baddy to, so that Ysgramor willing they or some other will come bye and save your skin sometime to.

Which not to lose sight of the topic, I have found that so far in the Vet areas it seems like a much nicer environment. For the most part I have not had any trouble finding someone to run with in the dungeons, nor the occasional help in the form of a run by smash on a group that I might be getting some hurt from.
Not to mention, and knock on wood it stays so.. the zone chat is much more peaceful..

Vr content isn't that difficult, and I would say even needs a buff past vr5. If you are having that much trouble that you cant do it then either: Your build is REALLY bad and you have no understanding of your class and synergy. Or you're running into everything without a plan or method to win.

That could be the sad future leaving only dedicated MMO gamers into game until they get bored and change. I think this game was made by following the growing popularity of the TES and so also tries to target the masses which is the casual gamers. People have been dreaming online TES since Morrowind or longer.

If you force casual gamer to select specific class and build to success, they are the first one to leave and also taking with them the majority of the revenue. So near future will show (6-12kk max) what will happen to this game.

Thanks for your tips, but how can I apply it? I am locked for any NEW AREA and dungeons that I haven't already done, since I cannot speak to the guy who, supposedly UNLOCK that feature in the game (nice peom, by the way), cannot DROP the Mannimarco quest, so, no money to change my skills, unless I buy gold from the many gold spammers.

I'm used to MMO's. Played a lot of them, beta tested a few.

This one has me really upset.

First I seem to have hit the angry mark 1 day too late - I say that because my 90 day subscription happened already and I was ok with gameplay until then. 1 day later and I'm so angry I don't ever want to play again.

I hit VR1 and it was tough, but managable. I played smart, realizing I can't solo everything. Then I moved to the next zone as VR2. And I died. All the time. I'm now dying so fast and often that I'm out of gold for repairs. Oh, and the lag/DC stuff is great too...

I don't want someone to tell me to "LTP" (or learn to play for those not in the know). I was playing just fine up until a day or so ago - I seem to have accidentally jumped into the "must know everything and have a super script set up" level. How do I go back?

So, can I get my $77 back? I do not want to just play low level alts, but I don't want to be forced to some specific build that makes me viable - I like how I was playing.

The game is super easy up to VR10. I'm VR10 and it was easy and boring to get to VR10. Like others suggested learn to use new abilities, try something different. If you're having a hard time then it's your own fault.

Might suggest taking a break from your main class and char, I am a VET 3 nightblade for my main char and started to struggle a little so taking a little break and pondering my skill set, may respect fo different morphs on some skills. First chars with new systems always takes some thought.

Though compared to my early levels with nightblade stuff, finding a lightening sorc will be super easy to level if not boring sadly. :(

But will see how things go.

In my VERY humble opinion, a hard quest to get OPTIONAL gear, that is perfectly OK for me, but putting such an almost impossible quest to do, as a quest UNLOCKING game features, that is NOT even acceptable! Nice for you to be a Veteran 10, I AM LOCKED at Veteran level 1 because I cannot pass through MANNIMARCO.

Well said mister Vampire exploit ...for this is what I think you did. In my opinion all those saying it is easy somehow did NOT play by the rules the rest of up play by.

No. Sadly I cannot offer you any great tips on the defeat. I died a few times fighting him. All I can tell you is what I did as a Heavy Temp Tank.
Smash him hard, as hard as you can. ( sword, axe, sharp pointy stick )
Save some Stamina back simply to bash him when he goes into his power mode.
When he moves, move as fast as you can to get up and personal on him.

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

It is quite possible, I have the king's sword to prove it.

Now, if I, without knowing it, used a "feature" not planned by the designer, that, I can't tell, but I was happy that Mannimarco quest was NOT locking that part, at least.
