Has anyone else noticed a delay in skill use when weapon is sheathed?

I play almost every day, typically on the same character, and since the update yesterday it feels like something is slightly off with skill usage.
What I mean specifically is that there seems to be a 1-2 second delay from activating a skill and the skill registering in game. This happens if your weapon is sheathed. Maybe I'm crazy and this was always happening, but it definitely feels noticeably different to me.

Also sometimes animations like Vampire's Feed cannot be cancelled early as well as Vampiric Drain, which as you can imagine makes the already terrible ability even worse if you can't cancel it in time before getting interrupted.PC NA - Ceyanna Ashton - Breton Vampire MagDK8 -

Also there's a very, very big lag when interacting with NPCs.

It's extremely annoying, like a slow motion.
When starting combat, you have to wait approximately a second so that your character has to perform animation of preparing their weapons, and only then the character can cast skills/other abilities. In IC during the event, it made for extremely unpleasant experience, when I was unable to defend myself during that very long second.
Before using Blade of Woe, you have to wait a second so that your character prepares their weapons as well.
Hopefully, this is not intended and will be fixed.10 -

You, along with many others here, have described my exact experience. It just feels sluggish. I'm on console so the update is only a day old. I waited to see if it was server lag, but this is clearly not the case if it's been going on since the PC update 2 weeks ago0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I absolutely agree. Using a skill with your weapon sheathed definitely takes longer than before. It's now an annoyingly long delay. WTB "never sheathe weapons" option. Always be ready to fight!2 -

Yes. I noticed it recently and the delay is annoying as heck since I constantly toss my magica staff onto my back when not in combat. I now have pad 2 seconds extra when pulling it out to use it. Hopefully they'll fix it.0 -

woe✭✭✭✭Since waking flame. Sometimes it's normal again and then out of nowhere like when I'm doing vMA, light attacks aren't going off, skills start to delay or don't cast and then it just feels like I'm playing POE when /oos was still a thing.uwu3 -
MajorDavood✭✭✭Yeah, this appeared with Waking Flame update. Annoying as hell. I used to blaze through delves with stealth but this has thrown my timing all to hell. Popping stealth with sheathed weapons now takes almost 2-3 seconds which means I usually end up pulling mobs.
Plus, if you open a door, a chest, or otherwise interact with stuff, your weapons are automatically sheathed!
