Search results for almost all items are pointing to non-existent guild traders...
(example: I want to buy X item, search results says that there is an X guild in Deshaan. I go there and vendor kiosk is owned by totally different guild that (surprise) does not have stuff I need).
So um I guess it is also causing issues for buyers too.
You know, I quit running a trade guild last year as with work commitments, I just didn't have the time.
Now I'm back, with a guild doing pretty well and established in Grahtwood, and I'm wondering why I bother with all this. It's hard enough to keep a trade guild running. Costs are incredible (I knew that before I started). Competition is fierce (I knew that too!). But I can't run a guild when the system is shot, or the game is so unreliable that I might have all my members offline for more than half the week!
Performance of this game on the EU server is horrific, and getting worse not better. More and more people that I game with are taking a step back and playing less, or finding other games that are better managed. With the absolute farce that was Greymoor's launch (which isn't finished yet, by a long way), and now this repeat of the guild trader issue....... I'm just seriously wondering why we're all still here, you know ?
As a buyer I have a huge issue with lack of items. Today I wanted to buy few overland gear pieces but instead had to go farm them since there were none anywhere.

For visibility, the issue that occurred yesterday where the incorrect guilds appeared to win guild traders happened because there was a gap in time between when winners of a guild trader were selected, and when the winners were actually applied. This means some guilds were able to illegitimately win a trader during that gap, rather than the trader going to the real winner.
This Wednesday during our scheduled maintenance, we’re going to swap out the owners of all guild traders on PC EU to the correct guilds that won the bid, and refund everyone’s gold – both the winners and those who accidentally won. We’re also working on a fix to prevent this from happening in the future.

There simply should not be a time gap in that kind of situation, ever. It shouldn't even be two separate operations. If it has to be, for reasons unknown, then at least do it in the opposite order: first assign owners according to the new bids, then clear the ownership for the traders that didn't have any bids. If this runs afoul of your data consistency checks because a guild can't own two traders, and you didn't think to include a state of "pending assignment" for the traders in addition to the "unassigned" state, assign all traders to dummy guilds before the update instead of announcing them to end users as "unassigned". I'm sorry, but I am appalled. Don't leave your live database tables in limbo, ever, even for a short moment. If you absolutely have to go about it in that manner, do not allow external access while the reassignment is being made.... there was a gap in time between when winners of a guild trader were selected, and when the winners were actually applied.

I'm very sad to hear that, @Sturmfaenger. I lost a couple after the multi-bidding stuff got rammed down our throats. Feels bad.Sturmfaenger wrote: »This fiasco is for at least 2 good, long-lived EU trading guilds that I know of the last nail on the coffin - they are closing.

And for those of you who put an "Awesome" to hear of two long-lived communities of players no longer being able to enjoy the game together, wtf? Are people on here so jaded they just want to see the world burn?
