    Is this still not fixed?

EU GMs & Officers, I'm so sorry that you're going through this hell again.

(To the auction house folks: what on earth makes you think that an AH would be coded or perform any better? It would have the same designers and be built in the same game. If, after 9-10 months, the kinks cannot be worked out in the multibidding system to prevent catastrophic situations like this from happening, why do you have so much confidence that an AH would work well?)

You know, I quit running a trade guild last year as with work commitments, I just didn't have the time.

Now I'm back, with a guild doing pretty well and established in Grahtwood, and I'm wondering why I bother with all this. It's hard enough to keep a trade guild running. Costs are incredible (I knew that before I started). Competition is fierce (I knew that too!). But I can't run a guild when the system is shot, or the game is so unreliable that I might have all my members offline for more than half the week!

Performance of this game on the EU server is horrific, and getting worse not better. More and more people that I game with are taking a step back and playing less, or finding other games that are better managed. With the absolute farce that was Greymoor's launch (which isn't finished yet, by a long way), and now this repeat of the guild trader issue....... I'm just seriously wondering why we're all still here, you know ? :(

Meanwhile, over on PC-NA, Guild Trader switch was delayed again. It's supposed to happen between 8.55-9.00pm EDT but actually is done between 8.55pm and... who knows when. We had one Sunday where the Guild Trader flip finished at 9.18pm, another where it finished at 9.16pm, and today I'm not quite sure when, but it was after 9.12pm.

Obviously this is nowhere near the same degree of being on fire, but it ain't right either.

    [Quoted post was removed]

In my (NA) trade guild, we clench our butts during the flip. Finishing at 9:18 is 18 extra minutes of butt-clenching!

In all seriousness though, I hope that's not serious, because yeah, that's kind of absurd to complain about given what's going on for EU players.

In the current situation where these few traders cannot even remotely satisfy numerous guilds (the number of which grows due to growth of game's popularity and recent changes to guild finder), trading war is raging for the past month. Prices jumped to ridiculous numbers. I didnt hate this trader system when everybody did, but now it is obvious, that the system is a failure and has no future.
In this situation I bid really a lot to keep trader for another week to secure our position, and now what? The history will show we had lost the bid and other guilds will continue to battle for this trader (thats how it works). So thats even more expenses In the future.

I dont want a compensation. Instead sinse you showed complete incopetence and inabilty to maintain this system, not only once, and since the system itself has no future in the growing game, just let it go, stop poking its dead body

The problem with that solution is that it would require significant changes to droprates as well, otherwise everything would simply cost NPC+tax+1. The only thing keeping prices at reasonable levels is the limiting factor of 15.000 items per NPC. That's why it's still profitable enough to farm resources and sell stuff. Without that most players would just dump everything at the nearest NPC for the instant payment and the rest would still suffice to push the prices down to almost NPC levels.

Amazing how ZoS is still spinning on its wheels to fix an issue that's affecting virtually every player trying to do commerce...

Alas, if Cyrodiil lag is of any example, this issue shall persist into perpetuity...

I think it is amazing that there seems to be no fail safe. As in if the swap fails, then lock down traders or something, so they can run the swap during work hours and monitor it.
And yeah, it is really sad to see this happen again, especially with the warnings from the last few weeks.

We will loose it again i know, because we cant afford these outragous prices, but there are some small guilds that are happy right now at least :) Sry for the rest of u!

so its now Dinner Time over on EU and we still have no further info, no fix, and no traders *sigh*

Ive said it a thousand times recently, but why is it, for a game so hellbent on being "about community", Guilds in general are ignored "/

i am seing a lot of smaller guilds like mine able to fianlly secure a trader and it made our day. I know the trader system is unique and different and i love that it is, BUT i hate the way its done each week! Its a mudpit of rich folks tossing coins left and right, its the worst ever design for a guild to be able just to auction their items. This is great for us personally, so can u pls change the design a bit so that ALL guilds that want a trader CAN get one, without selling our bodies to the highest bidder? An idea would be to limit the slots, maybe 10 slots at a time for 'free' traders, while the ones that want to fight all they want for some more slots.. I hate the design of being forced to join a trade guild to use the auction house, its the worst! Make it available for all but with more limits unless u 'pay' xtra for them, make requirements like x amount of players in the guild also after unlocking the trade slot, etc. CHANGE is not always for the worse! Take this opportunity knowing a lot of poor souls who either cant or want to be in big trade guilds today are able to enjoy a side of the game they never have b4 this blunder! Peace <3

I'm just a seller, not a guild manager, and i'm already fed up with that, because I can't sell stuff that keeps accumulating in my bags. And for people who just buy, this is bad too, because most of the guild traders shelves are empty. Plenty of guild leaders thought it was funny to grab a trader for 10k, "yay my guild finally has a vendor now", well that's cute but what's the point exactly if you have nothing to sell?
I can imagine what guild leaders are feeling now, it's been 24 hours, no news from ZOS whatsoever. These are people who manage 500+ players communities and they are ignored right now. Way to go zos

What is not easy to understand for me is that this is not the first time this happens, so ZOS could/should have plans how to react quickly, in order to reset/correct the blunder?

How was it done last time by the way (I don't remember)?

I expect full damages for this fiasco for all affected guilds!
We traders still have to swallow huge losses by not being able to sell, which surely will not be compensated.
If ZOS has any decency left, they better soon show some humble repentance. All those many problems and mistakes of the last 7 days are a disgrace for them.

I came across a trader with a grand total of 5 items to sell. Five! What's the point of that? So there is certainly demand for more traders, but by how much, I don't know. Maybe twice as many traders would suffice?

Someone else suggested guilds opening up their traders to others, or to other guilds. Maybe add a search option that can search other stores as well, including those without a designated trader, so we finally have an overall, integrated market. Buy something from another guild than the one the trader belongs to? You pay a shipment fee, which goes to the guild that owns the trader. That might make everyone happy and finally put an end to having to run around like crazy when you're looking for one specific item or something that is affordable. When you buy a lot of mats, the current system is a pain, tbh, even when it works. I never know where to find anything, even when using TTC, as the item may have sold already.

Anyway, I really hope they will fix this Wednesday at the latest so guilds that paid for and won their trader will have some chance to sell items this week, to recoup some of the losses incurred. Combined with a reimbursement of at least the auction fee and perhaps a fee based on average sales on that location, or something like that, that would fix the immediate problem and smooth over some ruffled feathers. But I also hope they will look at this long term, fix the underlying cause of find a way to prevent reoccurrence of this and other known problems, as well as look critically at the entire system and see if there's a better way.

When Alyennnah is not here, she's probably crafting. Quite possibly at Alyennah's Crafting in Wayrest. Or maybe she's out there, looking for new materials, recipes and styles to use in crafting. She wants to craft all the things.

    What's going on exactly?

I personally saw a free trader and hired it, was that supposed to be someone else's or what?

The trader had no "tabard" tag on it

    Exactly what has happened.

Traders who have been bought for millions of gold haven't gone to those who got the highest bid and have been offered for free.

I've seen main city traders with only 40 items for sale, highest item for 5k.

Guild traders are so out-dated in the MMO genre, wish they would introduce a auction house system.

They can't. Because, there are so many guilds who have built events and profit centers around this broken concept. ZOS backed themselves into a corner with this. If they were to create AH, there would be a mass exodus as guild leaders quit and they fell apart.

Not a trader here (not my kind of end-game), but still I just want to point out that Tamriel Trade Center website is a complete mess right now.
    https://eu.tamrieltradecentre.com/pc/Trade

Search results for almost all items are pointing to non-existent guild traders...
(example: I want to buy X item, search results says that there is an X guild in Deshaan. I go there and vendor kiosk is owned by totally different guild that (surprise) does not have stuff I need).

So um I guess it is also causing issues for buyers too.
