Observing the patterns of the company and being a long-term supporter of Bethesda products, one starts to see that the game's depth is lost to the companies monetization systems when they have such a gem with ESO that is losing it's polish and luster because of them. When you're a new player, you don't see all this and everything seems incredibly great and wonderful, but that is gradually lost and overtaken by seeing what this game is about the more you play it. I hate to bring it up, but let's think a moment the reasons why WoW was so successful for so many years, think about what the developer priorities were back then: the player experience. Fast forward to 2019 and the undeniable mess of loot boxes and microtransactions have completely ruined or severely impacted the quality of games new and old, but that's where the problem stops for the company because the success of the money still funnels in, even more so. The quality isn't there anymore. Therein lies the exact problem. How can something succeed longterm this way? Nowadays, priorities are on shallow and expungeable products that can be quickly monetized upon and easily replaced if need be by the next hyped up corporate product train. One fails, a new one is implemented in it's place, and so on.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Let's also not forget the reason why they are able to make money from this and other games which in turn allows employees to have a successful career, HINT: It's us, the players. Lose that and what's left? We are literally the foundation you have built your empire on, shouldn't it be a solid one? Money may always be the motivator, but the player should always be the focus. I don't think I have to remind any gaming company out there in 2019 that the entire industry is on very shaky ground right now, it's a bad time to forget to take care of the most important aspects. The sad part is the most severe impact is going to be on new players, which should always come into a game welcomed with a positive experience, not the opposite.
Speaking towards the entirety of Bethesda/ZOS as a whole, we the player in your communities are literally spending countless hours and days pleading with you and asking for resolution and actual positive outcomes with little to nothing in response and return. Players should be your #1 valued investment, it sure doesn't feel that way anymore and that's definitely not something that should be ignored.

Why you have to wait so much time to speak about it @ZOS_GinaBruno ?
And why are you accepting to let the game still unplayable for 1 week more while people are paying sub ?
You really don't have any ethic ? Are you really insulting PvP players ?

Is it not possible to do an emergency maintenance before then? I mean, I seem to recall this happening for other issues in the past.

Constant crashes in Cyrodiil PC-EU, 'ESO has stopped working'. Not just for me but the whole group and players all across Cyrodiil.
As I thought it couldn't get worse with the lagg, now we also crash all the time.
Get your *** together now and fix it please.

How Pathetic. Players have to put up with the crashes until Monday instead of ZOS doing an incremental patch now. That's disgusting support. They have a major problem caused by their recent update and it should be fixed immediately. This is what you get when a company continues to put out new content that causes more problems instead of putting on the breaks and fixing all the performance issues and bugs they have created.
Oh but in 2020 they have promised to fix performance problems that have been reported for years. When 2020 comes around just wait and see how much is really fixed. ZOS is good at making promises but in the end nothing is done.

Could be worse, you could have to deal with garbage for months like we do in console land.

You have to wait until Monday? Boo hoo. On console, we crash daily (and have been for a long time), and we have also been dealing with unpatched Necromancer bash builds in Cyrodiil since Elsweyr launched. That fix you guys got weeks (nay, months) ago for necro bashers? We’re only getting it when Scalebreaker launches for us.
So, you know, could be worse. At least ZOS doesn’t treat you like a second class citizen.
Edit: what’s funny too is that when we inherit the patch that screwed everything up for you guys, we’ll probably have to deal with an increased rate of crashes for weeks. No rapid patches for us! So glad I cancelled ESO plus.

since it seems to late to include the fix in scalebreaker release for console next week, don't worry, for a month or so, till we get the fix on console, we will stop to crash daily, we will crash hourly or even more, enjoy!
By the way, ZoS, have you planned a compensation for console players? since we don't get all the "free to exploit with no ban" features that pc players get? (one berry indrik, free necro class, free billions gold for guilds..)

Bash necro is perfectly balanced for console gameplay!
Fixed that for you.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »The good news is we already have a fix in testing, but the bad news is, given our history of past attempts to fix things, this one will probably not work either, and might make performance worse.
