Missing Bank Items, Bank Slots, & Skill Points

    Could a solved response with no text beyond the "if we don't hear from you" bit...

    I lost my bank upgrades and maybe items, I can't be sure on the items because at least some of those were transferred into a character's inventory.

    I'd paid for the 11k upgrade to 110(?) slots originally and after this happened I'd expanded to 90 when it happened again. I also lost like 5,500 gold I was pooling from my characters to try to get another upgrade,

    The odd thing is, both times this happened I received the 4 Imperial pre-order mails again.

    I put on two upgrades this time, I'm scared to use the bank but I have to even to transfer to mule characters.

    Also what am I going to do with all these monkeys and crabs?

    We are confident at this time that no slots and no items have been lost, and that we will be able to return your belongings to you in a future patch. We recommend that players not purchase additional bank spaces, as they may be lost when this is fixed in an upcoming patch. If you are out of room and need to purchase more bank slots, please contact customer support once this issue is resolved, and we will be happy to assist you.

    Got this from a support ticket. How is contacting support after the issue is resolved going to do anything? by that time we've already sold off all the stuff that was clogging our inventories because we were told not to buy additional space.

    Plus they said nothing was lost? er...

    I just checked and im at 22 days left, so my time didn't reset. Not that I thought it would.

    Now that would be a rather odd artifact of the bug if true. So that would mean you can play, at least at some level, while avoiding using the bank as much as possible. If you have bug-free play, great, but if it bugs out again, then you'll still have 30 days from that day. Interesting...

    If they don't give the player back their items ALL of the effected and friends of the effected will quit the game.

    Just because you have no good items and don't spend alot of time trading doesn't mean they don't matter.


    If I lose my items I'm cancelling.

    The game has been out for two weeks. I don't care what you got in that two weeks, but you can take another two to get them back. If you had crafting materials, they aren't particularly hard to come by and you really ought not to be whining so terribly much.

    I lost 40 bank spaces myself and over a stack in total of blue/purple upgrade mats. I'm not complaining because there's alot more to the game than those items.

    If ANYONE should be complaining, its those that lost skill points, had skills reset, ect. Compared to losing a few items in a bank reset, that is a "call up ZOS on the phone" kind of problem, because it could impact the longterm success of the character. Less skyshard skill points? Yeah...

    This? This is just a very frustrating annoyance we should rag on them until its fixed, and take some self precaution in the meantime.

    You are missing the point here. I don't want to go into depth explaining that some people marathoned their way through these first weeks and might never have the same dedication or time again, and many people have used the uncertainty of starting weeks for their gains via clever trading, valuables farming, etc. The issue is that we lost our progress that we worked so hard on, and now question raises "what is the point of doing it all over again if it can crush?" and "WHY do I have to do it again (and a lot of it is not doable again). So it's not just loss of two weeks, its loss of trust and feeling of being robbed. In MMORPG the worst thing that could possibly happen is the loss of your progress and this is what we have here. If they fix the issue - that is great and complains will disappear. I will still be disappointed that I lost several days worth of gameplay due to this, but I'll get over it as the game itself is amazing. But it is not a "minor inconvenience". When your home is robbed - do you just say "oh well, whatever - just need to work a few more years to get the items back?"...

    Also if the players are not given ALL of their lost items and gold back I will quit playing this game along with many others, and will tell my friends that do streams on twitch and youtube to tell their followers to do the same.

    I just wish that some people don't rush to complain on youtube or wherever right away. This issue has to be solved internally and we are given promise that it will be fixed. But if some people say "screw it! im gonna destroy it" and complain multiple times on every forum and portal possible, this will only hurt the game. Everyone can be frustrated, but we need to understand what they are going through and give them time. You can complain all you want here, but please- don't take it outside of ESO forums just yet. I love the game and don't want to see it die due to several launch issues...

    While true, I think if zenimax were far more open, kept us informed, and apologised etc, the vast majority of players on here wouldn't be so angry.

    The community manager making a few occasional posts isn't going to be enough, not that I'm blaming her at all, I dare say she is restricted by what she is allowed to post.

    It's this attitude of silence that causes the most harm.

    The customer service department also needs a major shake up, the responses, getting told it's solved etc is obviously only going to anger people more.

    They also need to know that while sometimes like when I changed my user id a week before launch, a light hearted response referring to humorous things like the Mages have been playing etc is quite amusing, when your having serious issues, it isn't.

    And the standard email asking for your UserID etc, it should be integrated into their site, we raise a ticket, we should get an email saying our ticket had been updated, and we should be able to log in to our account page and read the response and reply if necessary.

    It's almost as though they are trying to wear people out. And I bet most zenimax staff are as frustrated as people on here and it's a handful of suits that know nothing about mmos, that are restricting them from openly discussing it.

    So I got a 2nd set of free preorder and CE items then I went to the bank the bam went to the bank and found out I was Robbed. Lost the 3 expansions I bought and all but the scroll of Mara (junk) was gone. I dropped my jaw and logged out ten wen to another Character and found that my some of my items were back but some racial motifs and weapons and armor I was saving for research all gone but bank slots at 60. I reconfirmed on all 3 of my characters.


    Gold sellers running amuck, quest that are just lazy and lame, laggy servers and really slow consumer service. this game is just about to hit my done pile

    The way they'll be motivated is if everyone dissatisfied with the handling of this issue (and other game breakers) were to cancel their pending subs. Everyone can always sign up again later if things get fixed. ZOS pulls sub stats so they'll see it.

    Two bank upgrades are missing and items. I also received the 4 Imperial pre-order mails again.

    I submitted the ticket in-game. Usually I do get a confirmation email but not this time. Is there any way to check if it went through or should I submit a new ticket.

    My bank issue is not resolved. I am still at 60 slots (should be 80). I did lose gold and all alliance points (gold was < 500 unsure). I still have duplicates of all the pre-order pets/items in my inbox.

    I do not think I lost items. I had odd crafting items on one alt, not in the bank. Oddly I seemed to get this bug during the maint. that was supposed to solve it! I was out of town that day and did not play during the day.

    So for summary, what I am still missing:
    20 bank slots
    an unremembered amount of gold which was certainly < 500g

    The bank slots are by far the most annoying. Playing is a problem with all my characters crafting, the lack of the 20 bank slots means I spend almost as much time relogging to distribute items as I do playing. The ESO e-mail is telling me not to repurchase them and, presumably remain 20 slots shy. So instead of looking forward to my next in-game upgrade being a 90 slot bank, I am advised to unwillingly return and remain at 60 slots for an unknown period. The e-mail I received (promptly at least) did not have a ticket number and told me it was resolved, it is not.

    The issue with not re-upgrading my bank:

    I believe I got my missing items back, but it's impossible to tell for sure. However I still am missing my upgrade to my bank, plus I'm not really sure if it's safe to use the bank or not so it's difficult to manage my inventory with my entire bank being unsafe.

    Bank capacity went from 70 slots to 60 slots on early morning April 9th.

    Haven't had capacity restored, but I don't think there's much point until this bug is finally fixed. :neutral_face:

    Bank slots went from 110 to 60

    This only happened to me yesterday, but the ticket status is listed as 'Solved', and I haven't gotten any slots back. I got some items back, but I had over 80 items in the bank when the bug occurred, and when I relogged on an alt had 60/60 with the others nowhere to be seen, so I'm definitely still missing some items.

    The number of those affected keeps climbing, and not even a response saying we didn't forget you guys. And why haven't they taken the bank upgrade option out like they did with in game mail? They are shooting themselves in the foot unless they are using everyone like guiena pigs, not caring how ticked off people are getting over their bank slots.

    I can live with downtime, latency, and quest bugs, but I'm not willing to invest time and money when account data just randomly disappears into oblivion. My housemate got hit by the missing bank upgrade bug today and we've both cancelled pending a fix and demonstrated database and account integrity.

    The first reports rolled in as early as 1 April; two weeks is too long for this bug to persist. I hope you will have a permanent fix in place in the next few days so we can reinstate our subscriptions.

    Now i am really worried:
    I sent two really detailed incident mails, i asked two very important questions:
    1 - if i could buy slot to replace mine or if it could create a problem. I NEVER get an answer and as i have a lot of characters, i had to get at least a minimum of 10 slots back on the 20 missing.

    And i just see that someone sent an answer that i never had:

    My second question was concerning the Second collectors items: What i had to do with those : no answers.
    I decided to delete the mails, as i use the mails to send/return items
    When you delete those mails, the items get directly in your INVENTORY.
    So i decided to delete those, until my husband told me i should perhaps stop to delete those until someone decide to answer me. So i deleted the pets, the Mara scroll and 1 map container.
    What i do with the others in my inventory???.

    And finally the most important and most insecure that just happend in game

    When playing roulette, the more you spin the wheel, the higher the chances it'll land on that "magic" number. (Or, in the case of Russian roulette...)

    Saturday and Sunday evenings tend to be peak play times, especially Sunday evenings which I've found to be the highest weekly peak in every MMO I've ever played outside of expansion release days and such. With more players comes higher server load and more chances of getting hit with the bug. Simple matter of probability. :smile:

    OK I had 100 slots full of stuff and my bank slots went to 60 and lost 40 slots worth of high end mats ... I made an alt and removed some stuff and within abt 15-20 min stuff that I had before showed up again. It appears the memory for the items is still there just the bank slots were removed so we are not seeing it.

    I am going to transfer more to another alt and hopefully the rest will show up. Hope it works for everyone. It's worth trying ;)

    ZOS: This is a wonderful game and I am absolutely enthralled in the story. It truly is unlike anything out there. Please address this quickly. This is not an isolated incident, and it is damaging your critical initial impressions.

    We raise the spine of apology for your missing bank space and items. Rest assured, our mystical team of mages are currently creating a spell to return your belongings to you. Until then, we recommend our warriors refrain from purchasing extra slots right now as they may be lost when this issue is fixed in an upcoming patch.
    After the fix has been implemented, if you need more spaces, you can contact us and let us know and we will be happy to help.
    Please be advised, it will take a little time for our mages to create the spell and recover the magicka they used to deal with the thousands of nacho cheese covered scamps Sheogorath released to celebrate launch.
