"Castle Of The Worm"=""Observe The Conversation"= Bugged= Game Breaking for Veteran Content

During the Observation part of this quest in the mid 20's the server crashed or my client crashed. When I ported back in this conversation was still showing as needing to happen. However it would never continue on. This quest is a main line quest and as such we are not able to reset or abandon it. I have filed 40+ bug and Help requests with Multiple Emails from "support" saying to abandon the quest, Log out, /camp and so on. Most of the player base knows that this is not possible because it is a main line quest, however our role playing "support" from Zenimax doesn't seem to understand it. I cant even begin to say how pathetic this situation is. Not even just for myself but for the 100's of people that are likely having this issue, with no way to continue. I was level 50 4 days ago. Since then I have done nothing IG because I cannot progress my character. If this is fixed during this patch then so be it, it should still be noted that support doesn't know enough about their own game to give educated answers to peoples problems.

If it isn't fixed then it needs to be brought to peoples attention before players like me start asking for a refund and moving onto the greener pastures. Bugs are 1 thing, Game halting progression blocking bugs are another.

    I have to agree 100% with this post. The faults in quest-line, the progression block is the "reward" of not having a long open beta. I love ESO but facing bugs on every single map is unreasonable for a game that wants to "battle the titans" on the MMO industry, a game that i payed for since beginning of February. Coldharbor quests should be fixed with high priority since those quests are the one that actually stop your progression.
    Is not like i am giving Zenimax ultimatums but if they do not fix (atleast) Coldharbor main quest, that is blocking progression, I will ask for a refund.

    Alot of "quests" working in beta Eq2imora. But alot of those quests no longer work on release. Silly. But alot of those quests dont stop you from going on. This one is literally game breaking for me.

    Up to top, This needs to be addressed. Crazy to get to 50 in less time then it takes to fix a MAIN GOD DAMN QUEST LINE for a person

    Making sure people know other people are locked IG and cannot progress. The devs and admins need to know this

    I've been posting this in bug reports for 4 days. Ive been stuck on progression for 4 days. all my reports have my phone number. Im on hold atm with zenimax. look up the ticket and call me.

    I cant believe I've spent more time bug reporting and waiting for a fix then i did going from level 1-50. what kind of customer service is this?

    Thank you TristanK. The first Email I got back from Zenimax was on 4/02/14 at 11:00 AM. They knew at that time myself and others were dealing with a bug that made it impossible for them to continue progressing IG. 5 DAYS 14 HOURS since i first reported this Bug. 5 and 1/2 days. I was able to play for 4 days without having a major game breaking bug. I have been bugged nearly 6/10ths of the time the game has been up. Not only that but I have filed not 1, but more along the lines of 40 bug reports, and filed a minimum of 4 phone calls. None of which ever happened. I also called ZeniMax today, I was on hold for almost 5 hours before I hung up in disgust. Everyone should know what to expect when they have a game breaking bug. expect Nothing.

    Exact same problem, no help whatsoever in email replies try relogging blah blah file a bug report, try /stuck, none of which works. The games completely broken, sent numerous bug reports, but nothing
    It's getting beyond ridiculous.

    Still no email. 6 days for a game breaking bug. The second I get a reply mogetha I promise I will let you know how they plan on fixing our problem. I'll also tell them your name and suggest they go speak to you before they take another 6 days off.

    Why the hell does anyone have to be the squeaky wheel when it comes to game breaking bugs? This *** should be step one. Step up your game devs! These people should be reimbursed for their time and your faults!

    Hey man, I replied to your other post, but here is the answer that you seek.

    We are currently experiencing some issues with this quest line you are dealing with in particular. The bad news is that we are not able to force your quest forward or abandon the quest line for you. At this time, please move to other areas to do other quest areas until we get a fix put in. I have personally sent a ticket into our quest folks for this issue. I will reply back to you when we get a fix so you will be notified as soon as we have something available to get you going on this quest line.

    I completely understand your frustration with not being able to do this section of the game right now and will work to get it resolved quickly. While not the most optimal solution, you can try starting a new character in a different faction if you don't want to go past that quest point on your current character or see if there are any other quests that are in the region that you still can do. Don't forget to explore the random buildings around as sometimes they have loot and hidden questlines.

    I will update you when we have more information in this ticket.

    I have closed out your other tickets (so you might receive some closed notifications). I'll be handling your bug ticket for this quest (Castle of the Worm) after this point.

    I've been on this step bugged since day 2 of the 5 day early release. In short, they straight up can't help us for whatever reason. They lack the developer tools. Whatever you want to call it. But right now you, me, and anyone else that has a bugged main quest is screwed.

    Thank you viss. Those two topics should be merged. Not sure why there is two. However that answer they gave you was never once given to me. Shows how incompetent their support team is. Its a *** answer to a major problem. More then 1 way to fix this

    I 100% agree with you. It seems since I started playing this game it's been screwing me over. The latest screw job they gave me is they pre-auth my debit card twice. So now it's short $30 (or 29.98 I guess to be exact) but that cash hasn't been put back in. Yea, I can afford 30 out of my account for a bit, but why did you pre-auth my bank account TWICE?! I know once will happen, but twice?!

    I'm not even being a fan boi. I'm so tired of the 95% garbage customer support (finally found one person who responds and I'm clinging to them like white on rice) that I'm tempted to just quit the game and say meh.

    As far as the bugged main quest, I can only give you the same response I got, you can make a new character or just sit in Cyrodill all day. Seriously. I KNOW that response sucks. I'm dealing with the same thing. I'm DEFINITELY NOT sticking up for Zenimax because I'm having the same frustrating moments you are. But, realistically, our options are new character or wait. Which is 100% unacceptable.

    I am a pvper at heart. But I am a competitive one. As is the rest of my guild. We level to compete as max efficiency. Being there halts that. The guys I could be grouping with are vr5 plus. Level our characters so we can keep playing

    Not the observe the scene part but the point is still the same. Same quest, same broken quest. Same results. Blocked progression and no answers from the revs.

    same here... i wrote tons of tickets now... and what? go logout and so on... we need gamemasters or a fix for the whole quest and no standart copy and past answers!!!! im verry verry angry atm. 1 week of questing and grinding for what? sittig arround and can do nothing! beside that my main char cant paly pvp in cryodil with its friends cause he aint got its home there... the funny thing all other chars got the home there and the funniest at all... the main char klickt the "home" button... it is horrible atm!

    other then not being able to move forward at ALL, Its pathetic they tell you to even bother logging out or /camp on a quest that cannot be reset. How the hell is a game suppose to operate if the SUPPORT doesn't even know what they are talking about?

    Who ever first gets the tickets might not actually read them. I'm not sure, but it seems like they lump main quest problems in with off quest problems. Where moving on, abandoning, stucking, logging out may fix it.

    Regardless. It's silly. Been 50, and my options are limited. But again, as I said, just adds more to the give the game up and say meh.

    As a side note: How does a company provide an MMO and seriously NOT have the tools to advance quests past a broken stage?

    Viss, If i hear word from anyone i'll let ya know. Until then lets keep this topic up. there is 5 other topics consolidated in here with people in all of them unable to advance. If they cant advance my quest, then they best level up another character for me. Edited: In fact. either way Im going to be asking for advancement. 6 days of this horseshit is enough

    I also saw a weird idea I followed through to completion that I thought had only the slimmest of possibilities to succeed. I downloaded the German data and tried to log in and "reset" the quest because it would be in a different dialogue. No luck after swapping back and forth a few times.. no luck
