But when you are in that in betwen right now.. what happens is that you end up just not playing the game at all because you end up being made to feel utterly incompetent by the more elite players, whom, no matter what will always steamroll content.
Competent players became competent players because they practiced and surround themselves with like minded people. People don't start off as great out of the box. You have to put in effort and then that effort will eventually pay off in the end.
In the end, obtaining great gear will do nothing for if you can't overcome challenges and learn the nuances the game has to offer
Stated like a true Elitist.
Sometimes that single piece of gear or weapon, can be enough to help out someone who isn't as good as others and just wants to continue to do what they used to do prior to all the damn nerfs that are brought about because the Elitist 1% keep burning through content and ignoring mechanics in the chase for more and more DPS.
When you are disabled and left out because there is a 2k-5k dps measurement that you just can't broach on your own because you can't play the same way everyone else does, then yes, a piece of gear does indeed help. Why else do we have to chase gear in this game if it doesn't matter what you wear?? If that were the case, Min-Maxing wouldn't exist.
But yeah, it sucks being disabled and forced into a play style that doesn't hurt a lot every time I play. A style that unfortunately means I can only use 3 attack skills reliably, the other 2 on each bar are for buffs or shields or long dots, bar swapping is slow and attack weaving doesn't exist and any rotation I do has to be simplistic.
I'd really like to see how the Elite do playing with physical limitations and getting as far as I've gotten on my own in a lot of things WITHOUT using macros to do most of the work for them!! I think a lot of you would give up on it. But I refuse to!!!
So take your elitist attitude and shove it where the sun don't shine!!
Yes. There is no incentive to run NMA as it doesn't even prepare you for VMA

There are trillion guides for every class on utube...
well, i may be a "noob", or one of them "git gud" players, but in no way i feel embarrassed because i am unable to complete the vMA. frankly, i find it (vMA) too time consuming and above all way too frustrating to be bothered trying. there is too much randomness (poison flowers spawning right at my feet all the time, especially when under i'm under the shield and that Argonian death-metal singer is having a laugh), too many one-shot mechanics, stuff like that takes all my pleasure from the game away. when you add the "i pressed the light attack and then i meant to either shield or heal yet the game decided to do a heavy attack for me and thus i died" bug (or whatever that is)... um, thank you but no, thank you. everything else in the game can be completed without the vMA weapons, i do not mean to push for any leaderboards, so the gear that i have is sufficient for me..
and yes, i know about all those guides on YT (managed to get to the last vMA stage thanks to one of them, can't complete it, too noob-is, i guess), and yes, there are people who run it naked and stuff, but kudos to them, i am still not embarrassed. have fun, people
Loving all theses comments. "I have one, and I'm better than you, so you can't have one". The LTP Brigade out in full force, I see. Awesome.
I'd like to see the full VMA weapons for sale at the Golden Vendor, with a different weapon each week. We already have that with the Monster sets and gold rings and necks, so let's have Maelstrom weapons too.

A level 20 can get through NMA. It would be a joke seeing a bunch of cp 10’s with vma weapons.

But this were no masterweapons, just weapons of the sets you got in DSA.
So the current weapons will be considered imperfect, make them drop in normal so that they are accessible to everyone. And then bring back the old stat bonuses in the form of perfected weapons that drop only from vet "HM" (sigil-free, no saves, and maybe even with an imposed time limit) and from leaderboards.

This makes your earlier suggestion clear. However, requiring leaderboard, or even leaderboard time, would be a step away from how you are suggesting perfected weapons drop. Though seemingly a major step since leaderboard is not required to get perfected weapons from trials, thought that is where most get theirs, but it is a different situation.

Nope, you CAN clear it and farm a set of vMA weps for all your chars.Yes, yes, you can, because it was released years ago and it was designed for cp300 chars with Julianos/willpower or Hundings/agility.
