Console needs to be taken down asap (freezes + Updated with message from Zos)

I don't even bother with PvP when things are this bad just walking around Mournhold trying to do crafting writs. FPS drops half the time, with total freezes up to several seconds long every time I walk through an archway. Ugh.

You know what ... there is one place in ESO that I have never had lag.

You guys might want to visit the Imperial City this week. No idea why but it’s always smooth as silk down there.

Well ... at least until a Nightblade dive bombs you.

I am getting lags of several seconds constantly, regardless of where I am on PS4 NA. Even while riding around trying to find the time tears for the Psijic skill line with no other players around.

This is making an infuriating skill line even more infuriating.

The fixes went live to PC during their incremental this week, and they'll be in the console incremental once it gets through certification, it just wasn't caught in time for certification for the console launch. PS4 NA - I have not noticed any significant issues. A little freezing here and there, Mainly in Summerset areas. Ran the new Cloudrest trial with 0 lag, 0 issues 3 times on console launch day. Last night was my guilds regular trial night, And we made it through the craglorn trials just fine until we got to SO, And I was the only one who caught a load screen while walking to the next boss and had to close app and restart. Otherwise, I havent seen any issues. I just assumed the lag and minor freezing/skipping was from the server being over populated. Same issue when Morrowind came out, Except it was much worse for me last year. Blue screens every 5 mins. I have not blue screened or got booted at all (YET!) this time.

Also was able to slide over to Cyrodiil/Imperial City yesterday in Sotha Sil to cash in my key frags for jewelry to decon..No lag, No issues.

Does fast internet help this issue at all? I get over 200 mbps, I wonder if this has anything to do with me not seeing crucial issues like others?

I don’t think fast internet helps with those issues. I have a 200 MBit/s connection as well and are facing the same lags everyone is talking about. Of course, an extremely slow connection would have an impact on your gaming experience, but there is no difference between let’s say a 16 MBit/s connection and yours.

Yes PS4 is freezing quite often. Sometimes for maybe a second and sometimes for 20 or more. Extremely annoying.

I've had a ton of this lately in dungeons where I could see the landscapes and sky above the dungeon..., so I would pan the camera taking screenshots, before panning around to the 30 degree arc where I could see where I was going and move forward.

Yesterday PvPing, you could see the keep door on the enemies keep, it showed it has 1% left before it was broken open. A few of us pulled out trebuchets and hit the door and it still wouldn't open. Promptly after that more EP showed up and went right through the door, with no problems.

But there were 3 or 4 of us that still couldn't go through it.

I think it was DCs new secret weapon, a door that's not a door but is a door to some. Well played DC, well played.

Its definitely texture related but I'd argue it has something to do with the CPU changes too. MY PC is really fast so its not as obvious but it's noticeable. On xbox, it literally pauses the game for a second, every 10-12 seconds if you're on a mount not sprinting....forget sprinting in town or PvE (that's where I play)

This is the thread I was looking for as I thought it might be an isolated incident. Nope. This is the worst it's ever been. Not even in combat and the game freezes up just picking up flowers? Not just freeze up, stay frozen for an absurdly long time?

Sheesh, can't even play the content I bought. Never pre-ordering anything from them again.

Yes I do thank Sony and MS for that as they protect us from bricking our consoles.
Oddly enough other companies have been able to have fixes ready and applied in a couple of days as there are contingencies
for emergency client patching.

Its actually a *** embarassment on ESO's part. I can't believe how many times I've been killed because of it. Seriously disgusting that they release this stuff EVERY SINGLE *** TIME THERE'S A NEW DLC/PATCH.

3 Freezes last night = 3 deaths in PvP. Not to mention the stuttering and overall lag.

I don't know what I'm doing playing this game at this point.

What is this?

On Xbox you hit the start menu from dashboard over the game, go manage, and from there you can delete the local saved game cache. It will sync again when you next go online with the game.

Support suggested it for me after a patch two years ago and i find every update its worth doing, with a full power down restart

Don't get me.wrong lag is still lag but it helps other bugs, UI bugs. Characters loading as black etc etc. So worth doing after each download.

Not in pvp it's unplayable your entire game freezes then you have no choice but to restart the whole game then when you try to play again it will freeze yet again then you must keep repeating turning it off and on the game is broken just like it was after morrowind was released I expected this tho that's why I didn't give them any money for summershit cause I knew the game was going to be unplayable it's like this after every large update the game runs like crap until they fix it a few months later
