This is fair, pretty sure they have to work with psn on this, the patch where cyro load screens were broken we also had to wait a week of 2 after pc because they have to go thru psn with patches

Why is ZOS acting like this is a big surprise when PC had the same problems? Obvious proof there's zero testing done before going live.

If I produced this kind of garbage at my job, I'd have been gone a long time ago.

I've spoke my peace on this, I'm done. Hope the fix works and move on.

This is why I'm waiting to see what they do about the problems since the update. I have not bought the new DLC / upgrade whatever they want to call it. I anticipated some sort of huge mess up and well... if they don't fix it promptly I don't plan on upgrading or continuing in this money dump any longer.

LOL reminds me so much of the experience I JUST had in Cyrodill PS4 NA.

Ran into a group of yellows and tried Dawnbreakering...Dawnbreaker didn't go off.

Yellow group gets me low, so I tried hitting a potion. Didn't go off.

Then tried spamming vigour and weapon swapping to rally. Neither of the skills went off.

Basically sums up the ESO experience atm. I've also never seen PvP this dead.

Same on PC, was unstealthed by some AD traiter that trained an EP zerg in my direction. Yet no one targeted me in those 5 seconds, as he must have really pissed them off.

I say to myself "Here's my time to shine" :p Went into the middle of the zerg, hit my Ult and nothing..."what the...".../pressing R, R, R the whole EP zerg turns to me as I'm quite visible now just standing there... BOOOM :*o:)

It's posts like this I wish there was an option to "downvote", because I called it: 3 weeks we'd have to deal with this crap, despite the fact the issue was reported during the PTS cycle.

But oh, no. Let us not miss that deadline of the release date! We'll just fix it later.

i'm not a zos fanboy, but lets call a spade a spade. yes their is a little lag at times, and yes it feels like you might crash to the dashboard. but since the game came out i've been playing it for 10-12 hours per day and my crashers to dash are:

    1. Battlegrounds trying to do one of the win 5 games new quests
    2. Just dicking aound doing something that was useless

so it wtf better that the constant crashing to the DB b4 the recent patch, yes some lag but playable

This is why I didn't Pre-Order, more and more games are being released broken because they don't need to release a working game because so many are willing to give their money so quickly. Now if everyone would wait until the game releases to see if it works or not and don't buy it until it works this kind of crap wont happen anymore.

I log in and see the game is not working just like with all their other expansions and simply closed app and moved on to a game this is working. ESO is working as it should be I might buy it then but I wont be paying them to fix what should be already working.

All those who pre-ordered... you are all chumps.

This!!! I tried preaching this a month out of this obvious money grab! They simply don’t care to fix the base game and basic core functions like server performance, frame rate or latency issues. If you’re lining their pockets, they don’t care!! Oh servers are bad? We will address it in our next incremental patch! Just wait another month, console! In the meantime, check out our new crown store!!! Such a joke and disgusting to see.

Reading threads like this always make me feel bad for guys that went into game development, I've heard it can feel a bit like slavery; and to add insult to injury, it's a thankless job. But, hopefully all of you guys at ZOS know that the reason people are complaining so much is because they love the game and can't wait to get back to playing it.

Though, I think it would be fair for all of us to consider that bugs might be inevitable for a game that is being developed on a handful of platforms in a handful of languages. Especially the week following a big update that includes a new continent that redistributes the game's population to one tiny area for 2 weeks. I bet once the server load normalizes, a lot of these issues will magically disappear, and everything will be grand for the next 50 weeks.

In all my years of using a PC or consoles I have never had anywhere near the amount of "blue screen" crashes compared to what I see on PS4 with ESO. It is damn close to a daily occurrence, sometimes multiple times a day... easily. This has been been going on as far back as I can remember. I understand a server disconnect to the title screen or something similar, but no, this is a straight up application crash. Not once, not just periodically, but to be expected almost every time you play the game. At this point in time I've begun to wonder if this is a feature to try and coerce us peasant console players to get off our couches and do something more productive.

They can hotfix PC when and how they choose, they don't have the same freedom with console. All patches have to be certified by MS/Sony.

I know with 100% certainty that Sony can have patches certified and ready to go within a few hours. The only lengthy certification is the initial certification for the IP, and any day 1 patches. After that, Sony uses a rapid patching process that allows very quick turn around times for game patches as long as the things being patched do not require re-certification such as patches that actually alter the content of the game; not just its play-ability. Regions also have different certification processes. The whole point of the certification process by both Microsoft and Sony is to ensure poorly written code cannot have a detrimental affect on the console when ran. Obviously this would *** off a lot of people when their $300 - $400 console just got turned into a paper weight.

The fact of the matter is... there really is no reason why consoles are also waiting 2+ weeks for patches to fix game breaking issues. I am far more familiar with the way Sony operates, than the way Microsoft does, but I am pretty sure that they are actually much more strict than Sony is when it comes to certification. Perhaps this is the reason they take so long to roll out patches, so they can roll them out to both console platforms at the same time.

In the end though, if ZoS would just pay attention to more PTS feedback it would probably benefit all 3 platforms more. By the time PC gets a release for new content, I am sure ZoS has already submit the build for certification to both console manufacturers; which is when the longer certification process waiting game begins. Then we end up with the same botched build that PC players have been screaming about for many weeks; that went live on PC and subsequently got patched shortly after. However, now we console players have to live with these same issues (because they are not going to resubmit an already approved build prior to release just to fix issues that cropped up since starting the certification process). Couple this with the fact that they don't utilize the rapid patching process offered by Sony for unknown reasons, and voila! ... You end up waiting weeks for game breaking fixes.

You mean the data breach where they pulled the system down to perform proper maintenance to make sure something so severe does not happen again? Rather than "correct" it in a few days and call it a day? Yeah, I remember. I also remember them apologizing religiously to their consumers throughout the entirety of the outage, keeping them up-to-date on the status, as well as compensating them all with multiple, 100% free games when services were restored. I am glad they took necessary precautions to secure my personal and financial data moving forward like any respectable company would do. You do know that Microsoft has had just as many, if not more, data breaches right?

Also, you know Sony was all for cross platform with PS3, and Microsoft rejected the idea.... RIP. What goes around comes around I suppose. It's the way the world works.

You have promised performance increase every patch and here comes the important point:

It's not the thing there wasn't any performance increase for real, the reason which makes the whole situation that ridiculous is, we always get a performance which is still worse.

As if the crashing is not enough, anyone else noticed the horrible graphic flickering as well after the patch; it even does it if you stand still.
It is all over Cyrodiil, just ride your mount and keep your eyes open, it is in the trees, buildings, everything.

In addition, since time began we still have floor tile graphics that are not rendered when you arrive at destination through wayshrine. They are just out of focus slabs at random all over the floor mainly around keeps. I am convinced this is caused by very slow servers that do not feed the info quick enough. I get the problem if I use retreating manoeuvre for too long sometimes the scenery loading can't keep up with the mount speed and then I get a diffused edge line to the world and the mount gets stuck on it running on the spot! It frees itself after a while when the scenery catches up.
If you are being shot at while this happens, it is an easy kill for them.

I've noticed as well. I was crafting my dailies in Rawlkha and there was barely anyone around and I kept stuttering and freezing while moving from 1 crafting station to another. They need to do something more radical hardware-wise.

In Cyrodiil too, I was once standing alone in front of a zerg of 12-15 people. They were just standing there in front of me lol! I killed them all one-by-one, the best 1vX ever!!

With every major new content, the game goes slower and slower. What needs to happen before ZOS invests more in their physical tech?
