You are missing the point. You should not have to run an addon to get rid of a popup ad in game.

You think repeatedly showing the same ad over and over thereby encouraging people to click out ASAP without even examining the content is a better strategy than having an ad pop up occasionally when new sales/features are announced?

I get that this is a business, but having just purchased a $30+ Chapter, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I'm force fed a full screen ad for things that I already own. Just seems like shameless greed imo. As other's have said, I'm starting to question how much longer I can look past this blatant greed on a daily basis to continue playing a game that I really enjoy.
I'm an ESO+ subscriber and already pay you all $15 per month as it is, most subscription based business models of today will remove ads once you are a subscriber. I'd appreciate if ZOS took the same approach and stopped spamming us with advertisements on EVERY character login. Thanks.

An add-on doesn't excuse the business practice that has been implemented here.

This is old school psychological draw in and force. This does not work anymore because of the overload of ads across the nets and now in games. It does not increase revenue except potentially for new people until they get overloaded. It actually causes anxiety and stress and animosity towards getting stuff from store over time.
I agree with those who feel the new billboard is counterproductive. I do spend crowns in the store and I do want to know about sales and new items. But the poor design of the new billboard quickly trained me to ALT as fast as possible when logging in, and then to install No Thank You. I did not even know that the Barbaric Beauty pack was available because I had already been trained to ignore/dismiss the billboard. The old crown store ad was superior in every way - in size, design, placement, relevance, and frequency.
I am aware that Daily Rewards will be attached to the billboard when this feature is released. How will those who have turned to No Thank You to streamline our login deal with it then?
At the last it would be nice if it didn't spam things I already have...
Like the new expansion...
If the crown store can manage to grey out things I have, so I know the in-game system is aware... then the ad screen could just not show slides of things I have...

An add-on doesn't excuse the business practice that has been implemented here. I'm already an ESO+ subscriber, I hope they take a page from nearly every other subscription based business model today and remove the ad's, if I want something from the crown store, I will go there myself. Once a day on the first login, that's fine...I get that, but EVERY single time I log into a character? Come on.
Plastering the crown store ads in my face only makes me less inclined to purchase things from there at all because of the blatant greed they are displaying.
ZOS, Please remove the commercial from my experience. The last thing I want to see when I first log on is a commercial blocking my entire screen. I mean, if I want to see what's in the crown store, I'll look in the crown store. The advertisement is annoying at best and infuriating at the worst. This new addition to my gaming experience is OVERKILL as ads go and very unwanted.
Thanks

142 agrees can't be wrong.
Put my money where my mouth is about this garbage.
You have successfully cancelled your membership.
I wonder if the bean counters are doing a recount anytime soon to measure the sales vs cancellations ratio

My guess is that the analysis is long term. Remember, they have to drive new initiatives for monetizing the customer base. They can't just throw out the good ideas because the customer base is temporarily upset. Eventually, those people leave and are replaced by more willing participants in the exciting world of ESO monetization.
meh just wait for the addon. At this rate you know one is coming. With no response someone is bound to do it. Otherwise until then....pretend its a big box with all your bad dreams inside it and casually press alt to put it on the floor in a dark dark corner somewhere.
