A while ago i tried doing the falkreath that failed but the guy who kept on dying all the time cp 640 had MAW skin and VMSA called us scrubs and noobs ect and left and after that tank left ect and healer as well ..

TBH a few of us in there had maw skins etc we had just never played together as a group and it was pugged together. Always takes a while to get that going. I thought it went well to be honest the boss was done and beat in under an hour. The guy just had a disposition problem

I was told I was a horrible tank because I was taking damage on trash. Not like any of it would even kill me solo. It was just a normal dungeon nothing even remotely difficult.

Now who was hosting this nAS run? If it was oyu, then you should have kicked the guy from the group. If not, yo ucould have whispered the host to take action. You can always leave.

You see, 95% of the stories in this thread are the same: people suffer different kind of bullying and/or hate speech. Just leave the group. Take a screenshot and post it on Twitter with proper tags (reporting is useless, you want the social media to share and get quickly to ZOS).

Well the other night was interesting

i went into COA1 vet with pugs wanted a quick run with my main DPS we went in and i noticed things were taking a bit more to kill and i thought nothing of it and then we went to the first boss Infernal Guardian not so much problem i was not paying attention so thought nothing off it and then came the Warden of the Shrine...

We went to kill Warden of the Shrine and i drop my ult i drop my aoe and Warden of the Shrine turns around and goes after me .. i was like..umm ok what is going on there and he uppercuts me i fall down and he goes down again and kills me and i was like wtf just happen... so i got rez we killed Warden of the Shrine and i lookk around and i go .. do we have a tank here?

and somebody replies yep and i have a look and he had two handed sword and im like ok so fake tank ? and i have a proper look at the group and he was only cp16 and rest were around cp 240 and cp 360

At this stage they wanted to kick him out and i told me nah its fine i don't care i can carry you guys but i would just like to know in beginning of the run to say " hey im not really a tank" and i can prepare my self better.

so having said that we got to the end i used the scroll for hard mode and we finished it , i also gave the helmet to the cp 16 and as i was doing that he offered me 750 gold lol to which i also placed 10k gold and gave it to him to help him out.

Anyway he was really happy and also told me he was always getting kicked out of every dungeon he enters its a shame new players need to experience this in the game , i man you play the game to relax to have fun and not to get depressed and fell like your not wanted, people deal with rejections in real life all the time they shouldn't fell that way in the game if they don't have to, i mean what it only took me 10 extra min of my time to help a guy out ? not a big deal to me but it was to him.

Just today I got Blood Spawn, Grothdarr, 2x Infernal Guardian, Tremorscale & 2 Skoira helms while ring hunting... Man I must sux really awful.

This is exactly why I find the "PvP players are toxic.....no, PvE players are toxic" argument so stupid.

It's not PvE OR PvP that's toxic.

It's players, pure and simple.
No matter what mode is your preferred style, there are toxic players that like to ruin it. Either way, snobby behavior or talking ridiculous trash, it comes down to players, not what they're playing in itself.

the other day i was just running vet daily to get some transmute crystals anyway as i ported in i didn't put my food so my health was only 14k as i was about to eat some food some dps cp 362 was already saying "ohh look at this noob he has no idea what he is doing lol "

i was like.. "umm who are you talking about?" and he goes? "YOU SCRUB" im like "really..?" so i eat my food and i post gold VMSA lighting staff and inferno, infal gold rings neck and say " Do you have these as well then "? after a min he just left LOL the other people were laughing and i just send a whisper to him "who is a scrub now ? " aaa that made me laugh unbelievable lol

Time for some necromancy!

This thread is always a good read but boy, I have not had a need to post it in a while.

But have to say, I've been volunteering to help some pug trials out in Craglorn, and the PuG's are no better in trials than they are dungeons.

So I was tanking an nMoL. It quickly became apparent on the first trash pulls that I was losing taunt. We had two tanks, because that's what the pug wanted. No big deal, makes Twins easier. But I knew that it wasn't the other tank stealing my taunt. I'm used to that in PuG Trials and it's no big deal.

But when I started to lose taunt on the first boss at a very frequent rate, when the other tank was standing right next to me, I knew something was up and asked if a DPS was running an ice staff. No answer.

I mention a few times that if any DPS is running an Ice Staff to remove it immediately. Still no response and still am losing taunt through a few trash mobs.

While I passive watch the group, I identify the DPS using the Ice Staff. I get rather annoyed when someone is doing something stupid, and doesn't respond to group chat.

So it comes to the twins, and we wipe because I lose taunt. We prepare to go again, and the DPS wielding the ice staff is called out to get rid of it.

Now to note: This DPS was a CP810, with Ice Staff front bar, S/B backbar and 26k health.. a common PvP set up. And with some veteran skins. But a horrible set up for anything PVE. So instead of answering to the group chat, this DPS instead pulls a boss (less than 1 minute after the first wipe).

Impatient, bad and detrimental players to the group are my pet peeve. So I just watch and let them do their thing without taunting or doing any mechanic. I just keep myself alive.

This upsets one of the other players. And the ice-staff wielder also calls me to swap bosses, which I reply with sass of that they're doing a great job. They do manage to kill the twins.

The upset player then says that we should teach the ice staff wielder instead of kick them... I remind you this is a CP810 with veteran skins. I flat out state my suspicious that it is a bought account, and teaching someone at that level, who ignores group chat, is a futile gesture at best.

The lead, the other tank, says that I'm the only one to pull, as main tank, and for the Ice Staff wielder to not use heavy attack or be kicked. Finally the ice staff wielder responds "I'm not stupid, I don't heavy attack".... yeah right.

Anyway, we finish the trial, with a bit of trouble from the running wipe mechanic. And the upset player calls me a trash tank after the trial is done. This other player was CP330 with normal maelstrom title. I don't run a fancy title on my tank since it's mostly a fun character for me, but it irritates me when a bad player calls me bad. I link my perfected Yoln set, and my gold Alkosh jewels/weaons I was wearing and tell him he's welcome for me running my pure BiS support sets on tank.

I could've put on any number of titles or skins but what's the point? Bad pugs will be *** people.

Story #2 which happened today:

Joined a pug nCR+3 and the lead calls for no tank to go down in portal. There are two tanks... I say that's odd but okay. This triggers the lead.

So we go on to the first pull, and I very quickly realize that I am getting no healing and no orbs/shards for resource management and obvious the healers don't have Symphony.

I very quickly find that all my stamina is drained as soon as the first mini boss comes up. Switch to my backbar to use my magicka bar to block, but that too quickly drains. Within a few seconds I'm completely out of resources, and had used my ult on Warhorn instead of my selfish ult on my backbar. Out of stamina, I fail to block Sioria's uppercut, and am knocked in the air and stunned, with Darkness going on. I survive it just for about a two seconds with not a single heal on me, and just as I'm about to stand up again, I die.

I notice that all the DPS that died are scattered all over the arena. I don't know why I expected the healers to heal me when DPS were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. There was no coordination at all. (Not to mention DPS was horrendously low, don't think Sioria even got below 90% while holding her for about a minute plus)

I'm running Perfected Yoln and Alkosh with Symphony, so safe to say I'm not running anything that helps me, but helps the group.

We go again, and I very quickly find myself out of Stamina again, and cannot dodge roll a "pizza" cone and am sucked down into the upsidedown. Again wipe.

The lead and other OT go off on me, saying I'm a terrible tank. I ignore them because I know that if I put on selfish sets, then it'd be fine. But whatever, so the group disbands after two attempts.

Ported back into craglorn, I was responding to some Skyreach sales when the OT responds to me in zone and says I'm a *** tank. I respond by linking my support sets and that I do just fine on all veteran content, enough to get Perfected vCR and Perfected vSS gear. The OT and the lead both try to gain up on me in zone chat and say that I'm good enough for vCR but am *** at nCR.... WHAT?!! Clearly vCR groups are better coordinated where I'm able to do my job without having to also fully self sustain. Even a couple randoms in zone chat also get involved, triggered by my posting of high end gear, and start saying I have insecurity issues... why would a random who is jealous of my gear even get involved? What? Projecting of their own insecurities much?

Eventually they all stop in zone, probably knowing that their argument and insults don't have a leg to stand on. I go silent, and the rando's start 3 separate strawman arguments in zone before they finally go quiet.

Moral of these two stories: Group play involves group mechanics. If someone is directly interfering with a tank's role, then the trial isn't going to go well. If the tank is having to solo a HM at extended lengths, and they barely succeed at portal, think about your own performance before calling out the person offering other strategies.

In a pledge one DD actually accused me to healing the boss. I was using a resto HA to gain resources. At first I was thinking he was joking. Nope. Probably was his first dungeon and never used a resto staff 🙃. Funny.

@WhitePawPrints don't let it bother you, man. If tanky goes down in Cloudrest, it is game over. If portal group is shoddy, it'll be a quick wipe. They should have thanked you for wearing those nonselfish sets! I would have personally been as close to the tank wearing such sets as possible, cause I am grateful for supports that supply such buffs and offer such sets. I think that there are many who don't know what it means to tank fire dragon in vSS and live...newsflash, it means you're definitely a beast. I know it, you know it, and anybody worth 30 seconds of your time should too. And if they don't, well, go ahead and brush it off then, cause the juice ain't worth the squeeze on that one, friend.

I will share my story, which is just more of a game that I like to play, actually, Vet Roulette (phrase credit, Xynode), where you PUG all of the vet DLCs...except Frostvault, cause I keep getting yeeted from the last boss fight for some reason in that place, even though it is one of my favorites. I usually queue with another DPS, and we get Fang Lair! One of my favorites! I soon noticed something odd about the trash packs, as did the rest of the group: the big bone daddy is doing a herky jerky dance lookin mechanic, kind of like a "two step", and the revifier is just standing in a semi-squat position with his arms at his side, already red as if he is enraged. To my surprise, we burn the trash without the revifier nuking us, which is usually what happens when the revifier enrages, and proceed. We breeze through the first and second boss, however, prior to the third boss fight, we realize that there are entire trash packs that are just on vacation, I mean they are just not there at all, and they never spawn. No crystal, no bone daddy, no revifier, nada. We do a few loops of the area, but the trash never spawned at all. This happens a few more times in this instance, and we make it to Thurvokun quickly. The tank engages, and the boss immediately starts doing that "two step" lookin, herky jerky dance mechanic, and I immediately hear "Drink and my 2 step" song start playing in my head! Thurvokun looks to the left, and he looks to the right, and he does so to the beat of this ridiculous song now playing in my head! I don't think that I have ever seen something so silly! Seeing such a magnificent and tough boss like Thurvokun doing an actual two step while we burned him to the tune of that song in my head was the highlight of my day! It was probably a bug or something, but it was the most fun I have had in a PUG in a very long time!

So what is this thread about ? He left so what, life moves on... If you pug you will see it all the time. Unless zos developes bots to help you trough half of the dungeon which would be probably hilariously buggy since there are still day one bugs after 6 years tho everbody reported them including me.

@WhitePawPrints The PvP'er in me just needs to politely point out that that is a trash PvP build also. There might be some rare ball group exception, but no one who respects themselves would run that in PvP.

I once got kicked out of normal Elden Hollow I on my non-vet MagBlade healer because the tank screamed in group chat "I had to heal myself 3 times that fight!" (no one died, and tank must have had zero mitigation with the damage they were taking). One of the people who voted to kick me was max CP (whatever the cap was at the time). Kick was pretty much instant, I didn't even get the opportunity for some good sass.
