Please Zos just make the option to select "solo player" on group finder so I dont have to pigeon hole myself into a category. The only time I do dungeons is when I just happen to see a group of people outside the dungeon about to go in. And nobody is asking whos what, we just go in there and get it done. If I use group finder I suppose I would have to call myself a DPS since I cannot heal others or tank. But I still have to use the items, skills ect. That I use solo. Im not changing everything im wearing ect to be pure dps.
Anyone who selects solo in group finder could be paired with others who selected solo. In other words, I dont care who I have to be grouped with or what they are, I just wanted to play without making it restrictive and complicated. We can call it "the I dont give a ****" setting.

Got this gem in groupfinder today(note the chat).

    CtdqArV.png

It was vet CoA 2 and I had to go full healer mode for us to finish Ash Titan(~10 mins fight, heroically heavy attack everything including atros to death) and then just kick them and invite a friend on Skoria because there was absolutely no way we were doing it with them(aside from me and Twilight soloing but I didn't quite feel like that).

In their defence, they were only about 190 cp, and 2 other people were 300-400. In not their defence, they did consciously queue for a healer(and they couldn't dps either so not just a standard fake one)...without even having THE healing weapon in their inventory.

If the group DPS sucks - which it does in most PuGs - and I'm queued as healer on my Templar I simply switch to solo full DD setup. The others can get plenty of heals and support sitting on my Ritual of Retribution and Purifying Light if they are melee, and grab the Blazing Spears. The telegraphs and synergies for those are quite clear so if they fail to use them and eat damage like there's no tomorrow then it's 100% their fault. I can carry a group in almost all normal instances and almost all veteran vanilla ones, as long as people don't repeatedly fail mechanics that lead to wipes. But TBH is not worth wasting time with such groups. I'd rather go in vMA or PvP where I'm on my own than carry people in dungeons. I only run randoms for certain events, like the one in early December. The pledges I do exclusively with friends or guild mates.

Anytime I wander around IC with one of my tanks (I have five—they’re all I play):

    Pewpewpew
*Looks around at 1-2 gnats buging me
    They go away
    Hate tells ensue
    “Get some damage, loser!”
    Inevitably they return, with friends
So I drag them into a boss fight and wipe the group
Then I politely respond with: “There, some damage.”

It is always amusing to have some whiny CP690+ prick complaining about the low DPS, useless healer or whatever; then you go /cmx and find out you're actually carrying them.

Ignorance and stupidity go hand in hand, but by and large I've found this game (on EU at least) to have a pretty mature and respectful player base. I've made friends with some good players by bleeding our way through those long, difficult pugs together.

Being a healer in a pug for vet dungeons is a 90-10% chance of getting a bad vs good group. When it’s bad, it’s god awful but when you get a good group, it’s fantastic. I pugged vROM as a healer all max cp it was delightful. Everyone knew what they were doing, damage was amazing, tank was incredible.

Then I got the dungeon again with another pug. It went terribly. We were on chudan and they didn’t understand that you have to take down the shield thing that shoots lightning at you. So, we die and we die and we die. People loved to blame me the healer, despite them insta dying with about 12k health each. I offered them food they declined, I told them they need more health, cp 200 told me to shut the f up. Lol. Delightful! Anyhow, we kicked them and we decided to do a different vet together and we stayed as a team for a couple of hours having some successful dungeon experiences. So overall not that bad.

Also edit: you’re awesome op! Thank you for being positive in the game, there is so much negativity and so many people love to blame others instead of themselves. You’re the best.

There are very few things in this game that compare to the joy of siccing IC bosses on outnumbering enemies :D It works especially good on blazing shield tank. I swear I nearly fell of my chair laughing a few times when we literally did a full run of whole district(special thank you to ZOS for giving IC bosses gigantic reset distance, and no it's not sarcastic) with me, flame ogrim boss and about 5 AD...
AD: HA found ya! *gank* ( a blazeplar. So bright)
    Me: Yay!
Ogrim boss behind my back: *giant fiery attack*
    AD: *dies*
    AD's 4 friends: ........
Me: *happily runs after AD's friends*
Ogrim boss: *happily runs after me*
AD: OH &*%(@ *run away across all the district with me and boss chasing them*

The most juicy part of that combo is boss' attacks proc my blazing shield even if they don't attack me. So anyone jumping me is gonna get both boss' attack and my blazing's explosion. I swear I laughed myself to tears that time XD

Some great stories ... and i do have one for you all ..

So i tried to finish VDSA again , i posted in zone chat got dps healer and a tank .. the one dps told me he is cp 980 and dps of 35k so i was like awesome lets go ... we went in and ohh god ... it took us ages to finish the first round and we could not finish the second round... so it got me thinking what is going on here. our dps should be off the charts combined . how can't we finish this round ? and then i noticed... the dps was using bow the whole time and just light attacking everything... ... so in a way i was the only one doing major damage ...so yhea unfortunately after that we just gave up...

Tried running vRoM yesterday and we had an.. interesting tank.

We skipped all the early adds just fine, first boss went down a little slow but no deaths. Tank is running 2H and S&B which is interesting but ok as long as its working.

Then Chudan comes, the tank keeps aggro until the shield mechanic occurs. After the charge the tank just acts like Chudan isn't there and just attacks one add. So Chudan aggroes me (the healer) for a while until I finally run out of resources to keep myself alive. Group then wipes.

Again and again it happens that way, no matter how many times I tell the tank to taunt Chudan back he just doesn't.

With lowish DPS and a terrible tank I just quit.

It's been a LOOONG time since I've needed to pug, but since I'm getting a healer ready for vet trials and need the undaunted I have been doing it lately.

So, we join vVoM and have a CP120-ish Warden Tank. Sure, a low CP is fine even though no one should be in Vet Dungeons until CP160 for the sake of gear alone. I'm just here for Undaunted anyway.

So he starts pulling before I pick up the quest, but whatever I get the quest and continue on. We defeat the first boss with someone getting destroyed by the tether beam because I'm running with a guildie pulling 30k dps on his new toon that is trying to get undaunted.

Then the tank runs for the Harvester boss, and covers the bridge in fire before I'm even there. He left his healer out and I consequently die to the fire. I still have low health on my healer and horrible resistance due to light armor. My guild buddy rez's me and I get out of the fire and finish the harvester (even though I, as the healer, had to pop the bubbles so that my guildie wasn't stunlocked).

So I'm figure if he wants a speed run, he better be good and I take off my heals for the next trash mob. The tank dies, in a trash mob... THE TANK DIES IN A TRASH MOB. He tries to kick me then, which obviously fails.

Then I get the idea to show him a REAL speed run, so my guildie and I pull the next several trash mobs into the Bone Colossus boss. That is over six trash mobs and a boss, and we two man it. The tank ask of us we're trying to wipe, and we respond that the tank wanted a speed run, so we're doing a real speed run. He ragequits with the other dps.

Lessons to be learned: 1. Don't tick off your healer. 2. If you're going to try to do a speed run, git gud.

    Yip - its really awful.

It puts me off big time. Last night we started running vROM

When we were standing at the entrance the tank was already looking at the stats and didn't move.

    We were all CP200-720.

At the very first mob (which he didn't even participate in) he says.

    "No DPS" And quits.

Because I was a DD on the team it was very disheartening.

Get told I don't have the right gear or setup, and when I tell folks thats what I am trying to get running the dungeons, I'm told @#$ L2P.

    So much angst.

Then they go into a long rant about how wrong my build is, and how if you not running A,B,C exactly you don't deserve to be running vet dungeons.

    Cookie-cutter dungeons. Yay!

.. meantime I have 4x 60 piece chests in my house filled to the brim with vet/ trial dungeon gear.. but it must all be the twilight zone I am living in, because in literally 100s of dungeons I MUST have been carried by these Gods of the Arena...

Just today I got Blood Spawn, Grothdarr, 2x Infernal Guardian, Tremorscale & 2 Skoira helms while ring hunting... Man I must sux really awful.

I tend to run Random Normals on my DPS queued as a tank. Easier finding a group, quick way of leveling skills and skill trees without camping on dolmens, and it burns enlightenment. My DPS can easily hold their own as Tank in all normal dungeons. I main a DK Tank for VHM DLC pledges.

Queued on my MagSorc with inner rage.
"oh god, you have got to be kidding me, Rage rage rage rage rage.
Port in. Last boss BRF. "After you 'tank' ".
Proceed to tank the boss, like a well, boss. Boss burns first time in a matter of seconds. Moment the Amalgamation multiplies, they died before they stand up.
Turns out the previous tank was using chains thinking that was a taunt.
Apologies from all members of the party for assuming a DPS didn't know how to tank.
I asked if anyone had any blood drinker or flame blossom (experimenting at the moment). They all proceed to empty their bag off the sets because "I am a real tank". Advised them I understood and thanked for the group.

Same day, queued on my stamsorc, BRF.
Rage from the DPS. No death run. Apologies from people who raged.

Next day; Queued on my Stamsorc with snb back front bar, bow back bar.
"Oh gods, a 17K health tank, not another one"
Ask, what boss they are at. First boss. Previous boss was was blaming healer for always dying. Asked what the DPS was like. the DPS doing all the rage advised he did 30K, but was unsure on the other DPS. None of them had done the dungeon before.
Port in. Boss burns in an instant. DPS apologises for negativity. Told them any class can tank on normal as long as you know what you're doing. Second boss burns, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and final boss. No deaths. Final boss didn't even make it to portal phase.

Find a lot of negativity comes from a few things:
    1. DPS blaming Tank for not being able to hold all the adds.
Tank roll is to find the biggest, baddest sum *** in the room and lock him down. The tank does not deal with Trash. Trash should melt straight away by DPS AOE and not even make it to Damage range. Tank chains in archers and mages where required. DPS also should be responsible for interrupts at range. Crushing shock can save lives. Faster travel time than invasion.

    2. DPS Blaming healer for not keeping them alive.
Healers are responsible for keeping Tank alive first, DPS second. Every class has some form of self heals. Slot it. The best healers spend less time healing, more time buffing the group and providing resources. Not to mention too many DPS stand behind the healer.. If you're not between the healer and the tank, you're not getting healed.

    3. Tanks blaming DPS who use frost staves and heavy attack.
This one is justified. If you use a frost staff, have taken Tri Focus passives, and refuse to HA on the other bar, you are getting chewed out.

Honestly, I get some of the hatred from DPS towards DPS Tanks.. I have DPSed with too many "tanks" that don't know what they are doing and just refuse to listen to advise from experienced tanks. Just come on guys, just cos you see a low health dps queued as tank, does not mean they were looking for quick find, they are prob a real good tank (like myself) looking for a quick find, and at the same time helping you by not making you wait for 6 hours.

How does tank manage to die unless fake?
Healer I understand if not used to using shields and did not know mechanic.
Had an fun run in it healing it with lvl 47 to cp 30, none very skillful, I treated it as an vet dungeon, we disused tactic and it worked out well.
Learned healing doing the normal 2 and dlc with low level players, health pool was high so not much danger, dps was low and no self heal so you had to work at healing.
The first 3 times I tried to pug scalecaller normal I ended up on the spheres or the high HP plague boss.
Dropped quest until I got an guild group and we did story mode, don't think any died.
Has not done it in vet yet but thanks to the low cp friends I have an good understanding of mechanic :)

    WOW its been a while!!!

And its time for my story and what a story it is lol
    ...

So for my new build i need Domihaus helmet in Falkreath Reach.. and nobody in my guilds wanted or was interested in doing it so PUGS it is ...

(PS ive never finished it as people rage quit but i know the all mechanics )

So que as my dps.. waited 30 min no luck... log off.. log in my healer go it

So 1 tank , 2 dps and me heals..
the other dps was only cp 270 but he was ok.. we went as far as Cernunnon and that is where things went bad, we managed to get him to second stage but people were were getting hit by ghost and overlaying in red circles so went nowhere, the tank left and the low cp left as well as he said he didn't have enough DPS. so it was me and this other cp 720 cp , we started talking and he was impressed with my healing which made me fell good :) eventually we got a tank and a dps so off we went.

Even then we were having a problem so the original DPS cp720 by now send me friend request and suggested he usually dose this with with 3dps and one tank to which i was more then happy to go with. So off we went 3dps now and one tank.

Cernunnon had no chance lol we got him and the next boss with ease and went to Domihaus this is where problems started.

DPS was not a problem we managed to get him down each time to 24% but never managed to burn him, the tank was forgetting to taunt him so he would not one shot people , the new DPS kept on dying so we were there for a long time im talking 3hr long time.. by this time the original dps wanted to leave.

Eventually the original dps said let me go tank and tank will change to dps , the old tank was saying how he dose 35k dps ect .. so we changed and tried again... lets just say you can do 100k dps but if you are 80% of times dead you are dealing 0 DPS .. we were wondering why is he dying so quickly when he said he wanted to do no death runs here ect. as if....... i was loosing all hope to ever finishing this and getting my helmet and the original DPS said he will stay here as he is determinant that i finish it lol ( what a champ!) so after number of tries and deaths last one standing were usually just me and tank .. the other dps left had enough.. at this stage the now new tank said let me get another good dps... he got his friend in ... and we finished it first go!

and the new dps gave me his heavy helmet i needed for my dps

Ohh what a night 4hr of playing for something that should of lasted no more then 1 hr

I know we all have bad stories but sometimes some good comes out of it :)

So in a way i want to say thank you to the original DPS who stuck by me and got me to finish Falkreath Reach a dungeon that seams nobody wants to run lol

So i would like to share something that happen few days ago

So there i was qued up for VWGT as DPS , after the 3rd boss somebody left and we had this 3 people a Argonian temp healer cp 180, tank 460, and a DPS cp 300 or so.

Due to people not having mic we got killed few times and then that is when it started the leader was cp 300 and he wanted to kick out the healer to which i declined and after 2 times we got killed we got on the mic and managed to finish it, we got to the last boss and things just went down hill, the Cp 300 dps was a leader every time he died and 80% of times he was first to go down kept on saying ohh great i died again , healer didn't do his job again , tank is not doing what he is supposed to do ohh we died again look at that ... why do i bother playing, i hate this i hate that over and over and over again when its his fault as he is getting killed and we try to ress him we get killed because of him .... it gets to you

Now after 40 min of trying to finish the boss and hearing all the negativity ALL the time like and i mean ALL THE TIME , it came to the point where the tank had to go and it was 3 of us , the cp 300 tried to kick the temp many times and they started fighting via text

Cp 300 kept on trying to kick the healer to which i declined, i asked the CP 300 the leader ... get us in que so we can get a new player... cps 300 said " not until we get rid of this !@#$ healer until he is gone im not going to que us in ... i can wait here all night i don't care and you can #$%# off as well if you don't kick him out i don't care i can wait " and i heard TV going on in the background .... i whisper that to the temp ... the temp said "its ok buddy i will go so you can finish this ".."i replied back i don't need to finish it i got close every monster mask i need but you dont" .. so there we were waiting for 10 min .. and still listening to cp 300 been negative and blaming others and healer... so ive done something i didn't do in a very very long time... i voted to kick him off and we did..

after few min later we got people joining and leaving we got 1 DPS after 15 min the same guy CP 300 joined !!.... and it was like nope ,no i can't deal with his negativity again so i kicked him out again and another DPS joined and we finished it like a hot knife thought butter.

After all this i spoken to templer and he was happy he got to finish the VWGT for the first time as he was only playing for a month and a bit , i gave him some pointers and crafted him full julianos set in light purple and made him destro and resto all in Hollowjack Motif staff no charge , LOL never seen/ heard somebody so happy in my life.

My question is has anybody else came across negative people that just do your head in?

A guild mate asked me to join a falkreath group at last boss. Other dps didn't have ballista and tank didn't have war horn. It took a while too Bc it was like 2 am and everyone was tired. He kept talking bad about everyone. It got done and he said its sucks waiting and watching "monkeys" die over and over. I told him that was uncalled for and we didn't appreciate him calling us all "monkeys" to which he asked "what do you prefer? Baboons?! Apes?!" All I could say was "interesting" I used to like this guy and was just kinda shocked. I had beaten it many times before and was doing him a favor. I was kinda sad about how mean he was to the other two and how mean he was to me for being tired and missing a few shouts. Absolutely disappointed in his behavior to say the least.

Damm that is uncalled for calling people names, the thing is when you people start talking negativity and bad the whole group's game play suffers.

But when you go " we got this guys lets do it! " ect it pumps you up give you confidence and we manage to finish it every time.

A while ago i tried doing the falkreath that failed but the guy who kept on dying all the time cp 640 had MAW skin and VMSA called us scrubs and noobs ect and left and after that tank left ect and healer as well ..

I think there are many reasons to explain all these stories:
    • People do not know the mechanics. This is particularly true for DLC content, which is unforgiving. I do understand in Normal it is hard to learn them because they are less lethal and because usually people are overpowered and the fight lasts few seconds. Check guides and videos.
    • People play stupid. Red circles are bad. Standing in front of a boss that does cleave is stupid. You can now change the color and intensity of the AoEs.
    • People think they are the best. Really, I see hordes of people taking literally5 minutes to clear the first trash mobs in Wayrest Sewers 2. Maybe you like it that way. Maybe you have plenty of free time in your life. But that should ring the bell: that content is beyond you. Similarly, if as a tank you lose half of your health for a whatever hit, you are doing something wrong.
    • People think CP is a good measure of the goodness of players. Bulls**t. That only means you have 720 champion points to distribute. It doesn't even guarantee you they are properly distributed. It says nothing about build, sets, knowledge, skill.
    • It's a game, you should have fun. Related to the first point above, we usually have people raging and calling other names. MOL Twins anyone? vAA axes? vHR right boss? If you are not happy, just quit. Calling names does not help.
    • People play normal content and kick low levels. This is clearly a design flaw. A big one. Normal dungeons are meant to learn the game. What's the point of having a 720 clearing everything in few minutes, running ahead from boss to boss, not allowing people to see the mechanics, learn their role and not doing the quests? Daily random bonus, free gifs, improve items... ZOS has made it all to screw up this.
    • People queuing up as all roles. That's cancer. The more you allows this, the more it will continue and you are responsible for this situation. How good does it feel to have a real healer and tank? Not all DPS can pull 35K, so yea, you need a tank and a healer.
    • People are simply jer*s. If every three words one is f*ck, maybe it's time to leave the group/trial.
    • People do not understand the context. Talking is nice, but maybe during the last boss fight in a veteran trial you should use it to coordinate with the team, rather than to tell others about your pet or travels, laughing at your 30th death.

I do not like dramas. I usually leave a group immediately, if I am not happy with a group:
    • If it takes too much to kill the first trash mobs (when I heal or tank).
    • If its a pledge and the group is half way (not at the beginning or at the last boss).
    • If it's a "2" or DLC and the whole group is made of CP300 or below.
    • If someone runs ahead like stupid and yells at others what to do.

What is the point of wasting a hour in CoA2 or Direfrost just to find out the group cannot handle the last boss? You can see it immediately if the group has the firepower to do it or not.

    been through a lot too

the last thing where I was like wtf was Scalecaller Peak where we ended up with a low level Warden that queued as a tank with no armor and bow. he dies all the time, didnt taunt, didnt do anything but lotus and light attacks...

we were asking him what he was doing he never replied at all, never said anything...
max level: mDK, stamBlade, stamSorc, magPlar, mDen, stamDen, magBlade, stamCro
    ESO+
    # of mules: 4 (FULL)
    maxed bank: FULL -_-
Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

lol was doing the other day a vet was either falkreath or bloodroot , i was the healer they all was 500 720 650 me 400 , i joined when they was near the end boss and the tank joined just after me . its island and you have to jump to the large stones .

because the tank died and i did jump to soon , the new tank said kick me , that was fine with me , heres the punchline , i went in queue again and ended in same bunch , this time the tank was gone , i did say just kick me since you lost faith in me , only to get called a few names and after 5 mins they kicked me.

so these things do happen on pugs and can be real pain , so i would love to take npcs instead of players now ,

    wish you all well .

I was doing nAS the other day with a pug group as always. To be honest it's much more fun to do nAS with randoms since it's not a complete faceroll that way. Anyway...

We reached Saint Olms the Just and one guy was screaming something like 'DON'T YOU !@&#^ PEOPLE EVER READ THE MECHANICS?!'.
Now don't get me wrong people were dying left and right but that's something you expect in that trial especially since most of the people were there for the first time.
The guy was spamming bow light attack with an occasional Poison Arrow here and there, he completely ignored the spheres that gave boss invulnerability - yes I did have my eye on him the whole time.
Needless to say he was the first one to yell out 'REZ ME FFS' when he died, and boy he died a LOT...Of course it was the healers/tanks fault each time he died.

Why do people do this? You're not that great, just do the thing and keep your mouth shut, maybe you'll do more dps if you don't write toxic stuff in chat and do damage instead...
