No logical reason for punishing them. They simply played the game. They didnt really know until later that the queue bug even existed (I am guessing) and even if they did they still just played the game. Yes morally if we were to go down that path they are utter scrubs for doing it but generally speaking no they've done nothing wrong and so they shouldnt be punished.

We should just get a rollback or reset. But as others have pointed out we probably wont get that any time soon.

No players should be banned, because they might have already been in Cyrodiil before the bug, and didn't know about it.

As if nobody in the other two factions ever took advantage of exploits, knowingly or not.

It's a game, it's only one campaign and in my observations (having never been in Vivec), AD need all the help they can get.

The OP was pretty clear that their opinion was that AD should be left alone.

Then why are there poll options asking to ban the exploiters, make life hell on AD, and a topic title asking whether they as a faction should be punished? These are not the thoughts of someone who sees AD as innocent, nor are the comments that followed.

People can vote for something other than what they truly believe but the implications found in his messages speak volumes about his perceptions. This was clearly made to cast blame, several poll options blame AD, and even one of the No answers claims EP or DC would have done the same which openly implies that the exploit concept is accepted and would have been exploited by any faction.

It's a rigged poll setup to paint AD as bad guys.

If DC (or my own faction, EP) had that numerical advantage because ZOS mucked up the queues and AD players couldn't get into Cyrodiil to fight back, yeah, I'd have a problem with the situation.

AD has had the same bug. It seems that at some point new players somehow couldn't get into Cyr and the que grew endlessly with almost nobody getting in resulting in low bars but long ques. I had a 191 que in AD when it was not pop locked.

Why AD won:
AD had planned a big push for this weekend (on PCNA) with an added guild that was supposed to be returning or something. They planned this weeks ago to try to stem the utter butt kicking that the purple (same major guild leaders and players basically control both red and blue) had been dishing out. Loosing every campaign seems to matter a bunch to some folks. I honestly think it is ridiculous as 1 alliance cannot conceivably beat two since, by dividing their active players between two alliances, the purple team can field ~220 at a time instead of ~110 due to the player cap. This, combined with the slanted map that puts two capture spawn points deep in AD and one merely between blue and red, as well as the default alliance effect (adds pugs) and better races (again more pugs), pretty much means yellow will loose with all conceivable strategies beyond fielding toons in other alliances as well.

This big yellow push, which started early, just happened to coincide with a bugged que meaning the que bugged at a time that AD had a very determined group of players in campaign and before DC logged on at 1:00AM for their daily map wipe (yes we know you do that). So DC (and their players in EP) try to respond and can't get in and their players that are in get demoralized and leave like AD does every day about 1:30AM. AD wipes the map and probably just thought that the reinforcements were the ticket. I personally was surprised as each take showed up on my notifications because last time I checked 2>1 even without the other structural advantages.

The responses to the poll are hilarious though. I am to gather that Purple, which is run by a group of players acting an a manner contrary to the rules, colluding cross alliance to essentially circumvent the pop cap by controlling portions of two populations instead of 1, wants to ban a bunch of players who unknowingly got an advantage due to a bugged que they wern't even in? That is rich guys. Don't worry, they will fix the que soon and you can go back to dominating 2 on 1. Seriously, funniest thing ever the QQing over this.
