but but.... audio is not streamed. Thats why each update is so bloody big and takes so long to download... uncompressed audio for performance. Nothing to do with their data centres as its all local on your machine.
Anyways.... why can't the game prioritise the audio, background tat = low priority, goes first, offensive acts against you, high priority and keep as long as possible.

While this is not compelling gameplay to fight against I don't have any particular issue with it. It's fairly easy to pull off and a favorite for new players and lord knows PVP needs all the new players it can get.
Perfect demonstration:https://youtu.be/jLGDF3tEaJ8
Just to clarify a few points because some people seem confused:
• I am not using Miat's PvP Alerts in the video.
• The only time I've used Miat's PvP Alerts is testing with friends to see what alerts I have to get around when on my StamBlade.
• I am using Miat's CC Tracker (the thing that tells me stuff at the time of attack, not before).
• 5x sturdy in a no-CP campaign is not perma block, in a proper fight my stamina is gone in like 5seconds. Such a ridiculous assertion some people are making.
• Nightblades have Fear, there is no "perma-block" against a NB.
• Please watch the video before commenting (it's not monetised, don't worry you are not supporting me).
• I am against Miat's PvP Alerts, but I understand why people chose to use it.
• The "problem" I mentioned at the end of the video is, in my humble opinion, snipe from stealth on properly geared players being too strong AND Miat's PvP Alerts giving too much information about travel and cast time attacks. I have no solution. This was merely a demonstration.

Exactly. In a fight like the one in the video (but against more veteran PvP'ers) Miat's PvP Alerts would turn a loss into a win against pure ranged builds. In that case, if I understand it right, your demonstration is actually to show that if you fought outnumbered against ganking snipers in BiS gear (and somehow capable) you would have problem and possibly die. Therefore it confirms that the reason to use Miat in that scenario would be to gain fight winning advantage? In that case, you are correct. Miat is indeed powerful tool when it comes to the sheer size of advantage it gives.
You could have literally take 0 damage in that fight if you had sustain for wings or at least Miat would allow you to successfully block every hit that mattered (snipe, bow ulti) while letting you preserve stamina by letting of block when no danger was coming.
Like I've replied to others, if my opponents were more seasoned at PvP and properly geared, I have no shame in admitting I would've died a quick death. However, with Miat's PvP Alerts installed vs 4-6 people with a pure range build (and main spammable a cast time), the add-on alone would have a high probability of changing the outcome of the fight, that is not right. But that is also exactly why people use it, and it's easy to justify/sympathise when 95% of it's usefulness is against xv1 stealth snipers.I think you make a fair point. You played fair and still won, many brownie points. But I'm a bit surprised because it's usually a stealther that complains about Miat, not the other way around, but again now I can clearly see that Miat provides rather unfair advantage to all players.
Thank you for the video @Taylor_MB .
From it, if I were the one stealth snipping you "And" you were using this cheat auto dodge add-on to which I keep complaining about, all I would see is (Miss), (Dodge), (Miss), (Dodge). I truly DO not understand why people just don't get it.
I have hit people with consecutive volly's of something that should have caused damage to them and it misses every single time. Every, Single, Time.
Unfortunately in your video, all you're doing really is just basically showing how people love to stealth snipe poison arrow injection. Yes ok, we all know that. And That's fine. However it does not at all show actual proof of the annoying, OMG SO F'n Annoying cheat add on auto dodge spam function.
So, Lotus Fan, Destructive Clentch, Rapid Strikes, Pulsar and Steel Tornado.
I used all of those in Rotation and the person using this auto dodge CHEAT got away for free without one single hit landed. My screen on the target character was flooded by:
Dodge
Dodge
Dodge
Dodge
Dodge
Miss
Miss
Dodge
Miss
Dodge
Now how in the HECK does Zenimax NOT Think, nor anyone , Not think this myat (miat) auto dodge is not a Cheat? No one, and I mean no one is that good to not get hit by any of those attacks. And mind you when I initiated Lotus Fan, I was in stealth from far away so that person I attacked didn't even know I was there.
So, Zenimax people. If you're reading this. I don't know if this add-on, or another ""Underground"" add-on that's not made public on the web, but there are people in this game that will have something to dodge an attack, if they're standing, Jumping in MID - AIR , riding a horse, being attacked by someone else or multiple someone else's, and........my favorite, Standing still as an AFK'r. I really love AFK's, attacking them for free only to see them Dodge while standing perfectly still and not taking one blessed hit.
So yeah, there is a problem. There is so A Problem with auto dodge. Now maybe people took miat and tweeked it, or maybe someone made an add-on and is only sharing it exclusively with their friends, groups or guilds, but there is something out there in PvP that people are using that clearly gives them an advantage over another player. You just don't see me post about it, screenshots or videos because I'm sick of it, and search this forum, ZoS, you said it yourself, there's nothing you can do to stop something that "ONLY TARGETS". I mean really? That's all you're going to say about it? Not admit the fact that you're aware of the cheat? Only that it's beyond the games scope to stop something that "Only Targets". So people that's AFK, that have this cheat, can continue to use it for free with nothing to stop it or any Ban on the player using it?
See, this is why I just don't bother.
dk vs snipe spam... most decent dks win this 9 outta 10. You not only hear them, 3 seconds into the fight, you know exactly what they are doing. Imo this is more proof that miats is unnecessary than anything. Even a sorc would just ward and pick them off 1 by 1, warden put up crystal shield, etc. Miats wouldn't have helped against solid players because they would do something other than spam the most obviously reflectable attack against a mag dk.The purpose of the video is to demonstrate a scenario in which Miat's PvP Alerts would've been an incredibly powerful tool. In this instance I still managed to win the engagement, but that was against predominantly low CP players. Imagine these players with a little bit more skill and properly geared for PvP, I have no shame in admitting I would've dropped fast 2v4 against people from stealth. The problem arises when if I then had Miat's PvP Alerts installed, it has an incredibility high probability of changing the outcome of a fight against pure range builds (especially ones who's main spammable has a cast time), even when they engage from stealth. This is the problem. It also makes it easy to sympathise with Miat's PvP Alerts users when 95% of it's usefulness is against xv1 stealth snipers. This is also a problem.https://youtu.be/jLGDF3tEaJ8
