With the new activity finder changes that may be coming to pass according to eso live, some of us hoping for better experience, but I would like to point out what seems to be a unnatural trend. While quite possible to be inexperienced in dungeons, there's been some encounters these past week or so that have me feeling bit worried.

As to say I have played this game for over three thousand hours and most of game time is within dungeons an 80% of this time was just with randoms. I have to some extent enjoyed the adventures and seen may types of players and lead my teams to success, but some players have appeared in greater number that have disturbed me as I suspect a trend of more people buying levels accounts ...maybe those bots don't just farm mats? At last here's a few of the stories.

These are all stories of high champion characters;

Had two or three taunts try to explain to me that all they needed was a shield sword to be a tank at very high champion levels. One incident got odd when said he had all the skills "even chains he said", going forwards I finally got him to understand he needed puncture. Which he then said " I got it and even morphed it" How is possible he didn't know what a taunt was before, but could morph it?

Had tank say they couldn't taunt more then 3 times.

Had a dps at vet 660 using healing orbs then saying I am still learning how to play so forgive me. I thought he was trolling at first, but removed them and just hard casted crystal frags with clanffer suddenly by his side. I just don't believe you can get to 660 without at very least knowing using healing orbs is not a good idea.

Had a tank say they couldn't taunt because dps was to low

There's more, but I am wondering if anyone else is having these experiences?

I haven't actually played with someone who bought a account but I've seen people talk about it and how much they'd be willing to spend. Personally I think it's silly to spend hundreds of dollars on a account just to get things like maelstrom weapons. Having BiS gear isn't going to make you a better player. The experience gained from playing is what makes you better.

I have never meet one, but I met several. In one game I was a guilty party. After 25 years of gaming, another level grind is more than tedious. I can understand the desire to circumvent leveling, I get it. I also understand the abhorrence to high level toons not knowing their roles. Player beware: a level is not indicative of a players skill.

I honestly don't see this game being popular enough for people buying accounts to be a serious issue. I just can't imagine there is that big of a market for it.

What I can imagine though is people skyreach grinding to max and not knowing how to play the game because they have literally been carried from day 1. I can also see people leveling to lower mid CP without knowing how to play because overland and delves are faceroll easy and do nothing to teach you how play your class/role.

I've run dungeons with dual bow wielding NBs who only light attack or spam snipe... they were pretty high in CP. And I ran Arx Corinium with a CP400ish Templar wearing heavy armor and using a 2H (he queued as a damage dealer). He was spamming Reverse Slash and then using Radiant Destruction at 90% health. I wish I was making this up.

I've met several players that are at cp max and have not done any of the dungeons or trials.
They just weren't interested. So I do understand how some high levels could still be noobish considering how easy the questing is.

When I first came back after not playing for 6 months, I had a slightly difficult time getting back into it. So, someone that may have quit for a longer period of time would have very little clue as to the current mechanics.

Just google "buy eso high level character" and you can find alot of websites that will grant you a toon at high level for real cash. Heck some even go for as high as 1,000$ real cash. It's no secret that people are buying them and I don't see zenimiax doing anything to combat them. So, I think they are allowing it.

Every example you gave can EASILY be explained.

First, you can level to 660 with ANY toon. Let's just say a person's primary toon is a stamblade. They may totally understand stamblades and be good at them - or decent enough that they get by.

Ok, now they spend 4-5 days (and you CAN do it in less) leveling a tank. They literally have DAYS of experience with a tank, even though they are CP660 - they didn't earn that CP AS A TANK.

Same goes with healer. If you spent the last 2 years as a dps and now you suddenly roll a healer, you experience as a healer is marginal - at best.

Case in point... I've been on since before Day 1. I ALWAYS played dps. But... I always soloed or dualed with my wife. I did VERY little grouping, so the whole tank/healer/dps roles in ESO were unfamiliar to me. Now, I took it upon myself to look up builds, review dungeons beforehand, etc. before I started grouping, but even then it was painful when I started doing dungeons and didn't know all of the tactics - where to stand, etc.

Then, recently I started a tank. I read up on builds, decided on one and then practiced with lots of random normals until I felt comfortable and got told nicely (or yelled at) on where to position myself, etc. But even in normal dungeons, I'm sure people thought I should be better than I was - even though my tank was literally days old.

So, no, I don't assume people buy their accounts. But I'm sure it's possible. Just probably not as often as you think.

I'm CP842. My experience in group dungeons is zero. Only had one go at vMA, got my ass handed to me. DPS & Tanking within in a group is a foreign concept to me. Healing is self explanatory, well almost.

As far as healing orbs guy goes, It's quite probable that he leveled to 660 with a different class, but was new to playing a sorceror.
I got to CP 490 before I even had my first templar character. The first day I had my Templar, I'm sure I looked like a noob with him.
And it's really quick to level when you use XP 150% potions/scrolls. They don't *need* to buy the account, or pay anyone to level their characters for them.

There's no way if you naturally level to cp 660 you aren't aware tanks need a taunt. You don't every have experience dungeons to know these things.

It's bare basic that are common sense that seem lacking or even then I am sure you know sword and shield don't magically taunt enemies or at very least you heard people talk about which skills cause taunts at your level.

Just last night I queued into Vet Bloodroot Forge on my tank.

I had a 660 magSorc who was using white Magicka food... I gave him some tri tank food, and we were all good.

Next, he ran out of soul gems after our 2nd wipe on Stonehenge. So, I gave him some. At this point I noticed his health was back to 11k - it had been 20 minutes since he ate the tank food.

Then, he said my food wasn't good for his build - his "60k hp shields" meant he didn't need 16k health apparently? The other DPS votes to kick him, I declined the first vote and then the good DPS left. Anyway, long story short, I offered him advice, gave him free stuff, and he told me to f*** off and let him play his way. So, I just dropped the dungeon.

    Its difficult to tell.
On the one hand, its possible to solo level to high cps, especially with all those exp events. Some players dont start group content until they are 300/400/500/600 cps.
On the other hand, there's so many sites that are selling gold and accounts, it must be pretty popular. For example, I'm pretty sure that some of so-called "Skyreach babies" buy carries with gold they purchased from goldselling sites.

Pretty sure I've seen a fair bit of mmos have this issue, eso is no exception even on xbox one. There are bots that try have certain characters power level. There is also plenty of people that do skyreach runs and expect people to carry them over to insane levels and then when they leave they have no idea what they are doing, seen it enough times to get annoyed by it.

Yes I think or the guy was terribly high during that run, or left the game opened and a random relative sat and played, these are the only logical explanations I can think of.
I joined at last boss and I've seen a magicka sorcerer vma staff and Flawless title, dying in Direfrost last boss 7 or 8 times, he couldn't avoid that aoe for the life of him, kept staying close to the boss for some reason, running to it, may have been truly drunk thinking that was tempest, his damage hard to know, was more dead than alive.
That must have been brought account or one of those other options.
