I dont think it is a bug. After every hard CC in the game you receive (or you should) a CC immunity. Disorient is considered hard CC.

I know you can't afford specific roles like in a larger group, but I still think a sorc is a better controller because damn, you can tell the difference when you even only add in Negate.
AoE pressure? We've been running with stam warden and I can tell you it feels good to have AoE MAJOR Breach AND Fracture (unblockable BTW)on top of a very good AoE ulti with a CC + on demand Major Defile. Oh and Warden can even support other grp members better via heals if needed.
Haven't tried with Mag Warden yet, but I'm sure it can work pretty well.
The argument that you can't go dedicated in something works both ways - all members must be self reliant, but must also be able to provide support for team-mates.

The difference would be 3 vs. 6 enemies CCed. A DK would be able to CC twice as many people. Cinder storm is also ranged so you can use it as you are retreating/repositioning to slow down the enemies whereas a NB would need to be in the players to CC them
And I will never understand why Warden got a cheap aoe major defile versus a 250 cost DK ultimate at the same time Fasalla's got nerfed because it was supposedly too strong.

Yeah I know hard CC's grant immunity. But I thought the issue with Disorient (specifically on Luminous Shards) breaking and granting CC immunity the moment you took damage was a bug. For example, you can be feared and take damage without the fear breaking and granting CC immunity.

I though the cc immunity after disorient was a bug?
i dont believe it is a bug. I think this was intentionally made because i remember way back in the day how some DK i was dueling got me out of stam and literally spammed fossilize and killed me coz it never granted immunity lol.DK is back with a vengeance for smaller groups though.
What role do you think they could fill without becoming completely OP for smaller groups again?
I feel like their role has and will always be CC + debuff. So to expand upon what i suggest earlier...
Make banner more desireable. Reduce might's cost to 200 again. Change warden's corrupting pollen to minor defile. Major defile on an aoe spammable is a bit much but it makes sense on banner.
Make chains more desireable (wont effect small scale alot but would be nice for large scale).
Give cinder storm a disorient like what the old eruption had. It makes them stronger in both applications because it exposes templars and people generally holding block but its something unique that only the DK has.
Most of these things wouldn't make them gods in small scale but would give them uniqueness and utility in large scale

Yeah I know hard CC's grant immunity. But I thought the issue with Disorient (specifically on Luminous Shards) breaking and granting CC immunity the moment you took damage was a bug. For example, you can be feared and take damage without the fear breaking and granting CC immunity.
Fear is not disorientIt is the best CC skill in the game.

And I will never understand why Warden got a cheap aoe major defile versus a 250 cost DK ultimate at the same time Fasalla's got nerfed because it was supposedly too strong.@Derra - yes, I mentioned "≤4" (equal or smaller than)
That is pretty much the grp size I usually play in.
I know you can't afford specific roles like in a larger group, but I still think a sorc is a better controller because damn, you can tell the difference when you even only add in Negate.

That's not too hard to figure out. With all the whining about healing that's been going on for more than a year now, ZoS wanted to introduce a quick and easy counter, so much the better if it came via a Chapter people had to spend money to get.
As fa as disorients breaking on damage, it has always been that way. Most disorients in the game (agony, rune prison, fossilize, etc), last much much longer stuns so they would but guarantee a kill on any player who ran out of stamina (aside from trivializing PVE content). As disorient goes through block, which CCs dont (except fear), removing the damage mechanic would make disorients far better than stuns - you could always defeat a blocking opponent and if they didn't have stamina to CC break (or if you got disoriented on your horse, never [!]), kill them with impunity.

Magsorc or mDK with destro doesn't come anywhere near the damage output of a bomblade.
That's only because bombblades build that way they usually wear all damage sets and divine armor pieces. They really are best at bombing unaware players It's more of a bomb and run away playstyle as well. A magblade in a raid would be much better in a support role than a bomber role because everyone will have destro ultimate, a bomber is completely unnecessary.
You obviously have no idea about organized large scale PVP raids

Why run a bomber though the damage is completely unnecessary. I do usually run solo but every now and then i will join a guild group and i always switch my magblade to support. and we will always bomb together. As long as you stay balled up there is no point to be a bomber. The amount of damage we will put out from just stacking destro ults will already wipe anyone and throw a negate in there and some encase spam for good measure. If your group is well coordinated there is no need for a bomber. I think that's why magblades are almost extinct on xbox.

DK damage is somewhat lacking in a perfect group comp but they can be made to work really well if you have the right mindset for it. I.e. boosting others dmg contributes to your own performance.
