    I don´t hate zergs.

I just don´t enjoy that "bring more people" has no counterplay.
Another factor here is IC. When one of those 500 player "gaming organization" guilds has an IC sewer night, it puts their entire faction in a bad position.
Not really, I can tell you exactly what happens when guilds like invictus/dreadlords go to IC to "farm" with 10-15 ppl: they get crap TV and leave within 20-30 min every single time. Those groups get really sloppy about district control and our small groups split up and take every single district other than the one they're in as they fight the boss. They practically never have ppl that break off to try and contest things with us because they are scared to death of us farming them - it's why they don't go into IC without 10+ ppl to begin with.

These are the ppl that will stand on their flag with 10 ppl and refuse to come off it to fight 3 of us. I've learned to not bother trying to get a couple more ppl in grp to go head to head with them, because invariably by the time we're ready those groups have already given up on their farm and left.

So no they don't really impact overland much with their absence.

Would love to see these mythical 10+ Invictus IC groups.

Like really tho, when the hell are we in IC? lmao

Last time I went in there, there was like 5 people with us xD And that was last week, before that I think barely any of us have gone in since Christmas.

And, believe me, no one is scared to death of fighting any of you all.

And I've just learned from Vort that apparently Kirsi is VE's resident hardcasting frag Reactive Sorc. Can confirm we aren't worried about that farming us.

Short answer is DKs likely won't be seeing a ton of changes before we go live; this class is still quite powerful (as it should be being a tank), even after some of the adjustments we've made to other classes and abilities.

    LOL. Suuuuure.

Kirsi is probably observing that whenever we see Invictus tabards in IC, it's orbiting or inside said amount of EP. I doubt it's that many Invictus alone. I should know, I practically live there when I play ESO.

Whether some members go in there often or not, and I'm not even sure who does because it's that rare, it's not a guild thing that anyone does normally. So don't sit there and act like we run guild events in IC, when most of us don't even play unless it's our raid nights right now, and that's always in Cyrodiil.

Right, you didn't say that, but Kirsi directly said Invictus groups of 10-15. No, that doesn't happen, and if it ever has, it was an extreme rarity and I wasn't here for it, so can't speak on it.

But for the overall point, most of us aren't even on enough to for a 10-15 man to farm IC, and that's bad TV, so sort of a waste of time :p

I see Invictus tabards from time to time. I'm there a whole lot when I'm on, but I haven't been playing much lately for other games out that are taking up my time. But before all these new games, I was in IC an awful lot and most of my PvP interactions with Invictus were trying to fish them out of 10+ other EP's. It's probably not planned, but it still happens.

The sorc might have been a bit inciting, but it is pretty lame when it's literally just him and I staring down 5x our number of EP and they are on that flag pole like me at work or something.

Whats your character name in game?

    I proctate things

I don't remember seeing you in IC anytime recently so I can't really think of a specific instance that you might be referring to. Dunno what to tell you man. I know I wouldn't farm IC with more than 4-5 and I think most of my guildies would agree with me.

The way I see it, The Sorc dragged a forum group onto you and then streaked away, leaving you to fend for yourself! I know that feel

You're not worried because you're always stacked in IC. I solo IC 90% of the time. I know stacks when I see'em. Also, Kirsi doesn't wear Reactive lol.

People hate organized zergballs. People don't hate unorganized, massive blobs of players.

Yes, some of those early big guild groups that began to dominate Wabbajack kinda turned lots of people off from PVP.

Try to consider the perspective of random players not in any guild, who don't enjoy playing in a big group, or especially anyone just starting out in PVP. It can be pretty discouraging to run into those balls of healing / AOE spam players. This was also the period when lag and frame rate issues began to occur more frequently so some (perhaps incorrectly) assumed it had something to do with these train groups.

Obviously it can also discourage new players if the same solo player keeps ganking them over and over, and these days new players are encountering a much bigger skill gap across the board compared to the early days when most of us didn't have a clue. Many try PVP, have some sort of negative experience and never return.

On NA PC we don't even have enough population these days to keep Trueflame filled up, and whenever battlegrounds launches I suspect it will be pretty dead. Hopefully we get a lot more new and returning players with Morrowind and some guilds that take the time to try to teach newbies.

Hai, the way some of you are reacting so defensively to my comment, are you sure you aren't the ones in reactive armor?

I just referenced what I've seen from 6 months of running in IC on an almost nightly basis. If we're gona get nit picky, I can dissect it further; Dreadlords routinely shows up w/ ~15 ppl, the only other large group on red I see with any regularity has ppl w/ Invictus tabbards and seems to top out ~8-10 ppl. If you're telling me that only 5 of them are Invictus, fair enough, that matches the number of tabbards I tend to see. But you sure could have fooled me w/, as Mr. I'm Not Really A Dog mentioned, the way there's 10 reds stacked on a flag refusing to come off it - expecting the 2 or 3 of us to go on the flag to fight them + the guards.

If we're gona talk about my build (I mean, I guess???), Reactive is just 1 of 5 DW setups I use. If you actually tested the numbers as I have, it's not actually that bad: Frags for instance hits (hits, not tooltip) 942 less dmg on players compared to a standard build. On the flip side, you gain stam regen, 5k health and reactive proc. That makes it a nice option for raid play, and works especially well for an Encase build.

Here's another thing you probably didn't know, just being in a Negate procs the Reactive Armor bonus. Stacking that + Pirate Skele + Undeath gives 68.15% dmg mitigation on top of my shields. Are my Frags gona hit like Pixysticks reborn? No, but I'm fine with that since I'm not the one equating 'moar dps' with victory.

A coordinated, disciplined large group is not going to chase squirrels unless you poke them, or have a history of doing so. These guys are focused on the map or other big groups. I don't think most small scalers have a problem with these groups.

It's the "zerglings," the guys who rip like tissue paper if you catch them alone but will happily zerg you down with 10x the numbers and then teabag/rage whisper their superiority that give "zergs" a bad name.

    This.

Exactly, I'm reminded of a situation we had with Aenlir and I believe Mojican sometime last year. We were running a full 24 and were dealing with about 2 and a half raids of pact militia at the Ales mine, someone in group saw Aenlir and started to chase them. Steve said its only 2, leave them be. A couple minutes later we had PM bunched up and were moving in for our bomb, next thing you know Aenlir and whoever he was with had cold fire siege set up on us, it didn't kill us and we wiped PM anyway but it created a very serious annoyance and the 2 of them were hunted down. After that we had sort of an unofficial agreement, we won't zerg you down if you don't make yourself a problem.

Then you get people like "the top 10 NB NA" who I will actively hunt down with 20 people all day long for being a trash can of a human being.

With the destro ult bomb meta it's worse. 2-3 good players bombing you when your fighting another raid can do real damage.

What I like the best are large scale battles made up of small groups. Not enough organization to steamroll one side but enough people to make it exciting.

    LOL.

I don't think it's a guild thing at all. I never said that.

To be fair, I think it's usually just a few Invictus, I've noticed when it gets the zergiest down there it usually involves Frozn, and not necessarily the guild all together.

It's quite the spectacle...if the FPS could keep up. Other than that, it's kinda cool (when you also are in a group.)
