We have the pleasure of announcing the creation of Crucible!

Crucible is a brand new player organized battleground guild, on the European PC megaserver.
We already had battelgrounds on EU some months ago and after seeing the great initiative of the NA guild "Inner Fire" starting up, we decided to resurrect it on EU as well.
The goal of this guild is to give access to small scale pvp for anyone who doesn't want to suffer the laggy experience of trueflame.
We accept and actively search for all skill levels! We will match you up with equal opponents - keep on reading to figure out how.

The point is NOT to promote e-peen but to create a fun pvp environment for those who enjoy small PvP!

We would like to focus on 3v3 matches for starters.
We plan on doing weekly fight nights, ladders and tournaments with a variety of different locations and game modes.
We will try to avoid events where 90% of your time is spent waiting for your turn to play. The goal is to have everyone fight and have fun.

We have setup a discord server where you can search for a structured pvp fight by joining the lf-XvsX channels. You can also ask in guild chat during our fight nights.

"We plan on having a weekly ladder system, where all registered teams fight at any convenient time during the week, and with scoring given out at the end of the week. Further explanations will be given out to those who are interested to join us.
The ladder will also allow weaker groups to find equal opponents as it will allow to pick the team that you want to fight.

Bonus Challenges
"There will be 2 bonus challenges per week that you can do. These will be predefined and against an opponent in close point/rank range and will account 10 bonus points if done."

Challenges
You can challenge and fight every team as often as you want and they agree to it

If you don't do any fights during the week you will loose 20 points.

Ranked fights:
- 3vs3 / 2vs
- Best of 3
- Maximum 5min per round
- Draw in case of equal number of players alive
- Winner gets 15 points for win against weaker oponent / 20 for equal oponent / 25 for better oponent (according to current ladder at that point)
- Draw will result in 5 points against weaker oponent / 10 for equal oponent / 15 for better oponent
- Loss results in loosing 5 points against better oponent / 10 for equal oponent / 15 for weaker oponent

The ladder will always be recalculated at the end of the week.

Concerning the rule sets, we plan to reuse some that "Inner Fire" have proposed, including but not limited to :

• No Malubeth
• No Selene’s
• No Reactive
• No Trollking
• No Fasalla
• No more than one instant damage proc set
• No vicecannon (currently bugged)
• No resurrection
• No poisons
• No double class per team
• No siege
• No changing of cp, gear, or skills during match
• Only one destro ult per team
• No stealthing (although cloaking is allowed, aswell as invisibilty pots)
• No restriction on potions
• Matches last 10 min max
• Fight starts with 0 ult
• (No Duroks) will be tested and maybe removed

If you are interested to join but have no guild slot, you can always join discord to participate. We will do our best to keep you informed about upcomming events.
Also, solo players are more than welcome and will be able to team up with other solos!

What is a ladder system?
"A ladder system is a competitive all time leader board in which you can challenge opponents to gain points and rank up.
Our ladder system is very close to the ladder system ESL uses."

Why a ladder system?
"We think a ladder systems allows for very competitive esports whilst giving teams and players of every skill level a chance to participate as they will meet equal components.
Equal opponents are ensured by the nature of a ladder as you will fight people with a number of points close to yours."

I am not that experienced in structured PvP and/or small scale yet - is this a problem?
"No not at all. We accept players and teams of all skill levels and we will try to match you with equal opponents.
The Crucible is a good way to start improving your gameplay!"

Are there Set/Skills etc restrictions?
"Yes please check the "Rules" tab in the linked google docs for further information.
The Rules are subject to change upon participant feedback, balance changes and bug fixes. We will notify participants as we change them."

Do I have to join the guild?
No. We are aware that not everyone has a spare guild slot. You can also get latest information and contact here and in discord

How do I sign up a team?
Send one of the officers the following information: Team Name, 3 @names including class + stam/mag

When does registration end?
You can sign up your team at any point in time

Can you be part of several teams?
Yes you can be part of up to 2 teams at the moment
