I have somewhere around 14,000 Crowns right now and not a single one of them will be going towards this garbage gamble box scam. ZOS might have my money but I refuse to pad their metrics.

Also, for anyone looking at the poll. Notice the handful of players that bought 20+ crates. These are the players ZOS is aiming for. Not the rest of us. These individuals will outspend us on any given day. This is why these things are here to stay because even when the majority refuse to participate. The very few can make a huge dent in sales with these gamble boxes.

i pay for eso+ it is less than 25p per day. the reason i pay for it is free dlc. i appreciate the extra xp and the craft bag but i do not sub FOR those things - they are not a factor in my continuing to sub. and, if you read the post that started this off, you would have seen that i wrote 'zos keep giving me crowns that i have not real use for' i.e. the crowns are a thing i neither want nor need so no i do not feel that i have paid for them in anyway shape or form. if zos stopped handing them to me it would make no difference i would still sub. is that clear?

It doesn't matter what you sub for... you get those crowns for subbing, subbing costs money...

'Free dlc' when subbing. It's not free if you pay for it.

Go and google what 'free' means.

You bought a few gambling crates. Bravo, hero. You probably saved the game.

I bought the game for $80 in 2014, paid a sub for $15 for 29 months (another $435) and I've bought some more crowns along the way.

I own all the DLC, most of the mounts, a lot of the costumes and I still have a bunch of crowns sitting in my account. And what new content did I get for that money?

Gambling crates. Explain that one, Einstein.

Won't use often but from my 15 walked away with atro wolf mount, another mount. 2 pets, hats and a tattoo and other adornment. Also got the atro memento which was disappointing.

Not the best use ever of my money but don't feel like I got ripped off, if they bring some other cool stuff out on the, I probably will use them again.

Bought 4 got two different type soul shriven costumes a dog and a fire breathing frog. Kept the XP pots for another character I'm leveling up and turned the rest to gems. It was fun and I am going to get more soon.

No, the worst part is someone like you, who doesn't care about other players, that maybe have to quit the game, because of Gambling Addiction or similar issues.

Nope, and my sub remains cancelled come mid-Jan because of them. Since there are so many people who think this will bring a huge cash influx into the game. I'm content to live off of my crown balance and freeload from here on out.

The Mrs and I each bought 6 of the 5500 crown packs during the previous crown sale, so we're sitting on a ton of crowns, but you won't see me gambling them away.

Maybe my New Years resolution this year should be to play ESO for free for as long as possible. I've been a productive member of society for several decades, paying for MMOs through the last 20 years, let the crown crate merchants foot the bill! I've never played a F2P game before.

Still love the game, just very concerned about this direction.

Not hard at all... I agree, they should offer the items in store. gamble an possibly get a better deal or possible get a poor deal and direct to store with a price commensurate to the drop rate.

They don't understand that their reasons for buying something are not equivalent with the price setting decision process or the determination of value by the market forces. Not much that can be done about it with that much of a knowledge gap.
