But EVERYBODY needs better inventory management, not just us subs. Yeah, I know you can use mules to hold stuff. That is not a solution, that is a work around and not a very good one. Just wanted to show what exactly I mean by increasing normal bag space to 400(adding 160 to current amoutn) paling in comparison to what crafting bags offer.

Here is my crafting bag in PTS

It currently has 260 unique stacks in it. But if you look at the amount on some of those stacks... 4k that would be equal to 20 stacks of 200. I went through each item and added what those stacks would be if they were in our normal inventory...

3142 item spaces in bank/inventory is what it would take to hold what that video shows are in my crafting bags.

So like I say, giving players the ability to purchase a total of up to 400 spaces would PALE in comparison to what a crafting bag offers.

Wow, half the people on this forum don't think non-subscribers should have ANY options to increase their inventory size at all outside of the monthly subscription plan? No wonder most of the people who actually play this game don't come anywhere near the official forums.

To kinda change the subject. I think DLC's should be given to subs as loyalty rewards. You sub for a year, then get to keep whatever DLC's have been released to that point.

I can't vote in this poll because, while I do 100% agree that non-subbers need some sort of space management as well, I do not want more inventory space. I would much prefer more bank space. I store things so that all of my alts can have access so increasing inventory is not helpful for my overloaded materials situation.

I agree that crafting bags should be sub only. But they should add a 50+ space bank increase to crown store for the rest of us. I'd be happy with that.

I haven't gotten all the bag space and bank space done yet on my main but I can already see a big problem occurring and that is primarily with motifs. You are more likely to find a page than a whole book, you have whole parts and collect ten to make one parts (eg Malachite and Malachite shards) and looking at the map...there is still quite a bit left to explore and that's not even including Oblivion. With the dlc plan they have right now, it means quite a while of game play time but also a lot of motif styles to add in too. Increasing bag/bank space for gold would be great. Not only would it be a gold sink, everyone gets the benefit of it. Subbers still get their magic bag of unlimited space while everyone gets more bag/bank space.

I think someone who has subbed in the past, or freequently uses the crown store should be out of consideration for the title of freeloader.

No-one needs 400 Laurels or piles of low-level garbage materials. No-one. And I say that as a crafter myself.

There are 2 obvious fixes for this.
1 - Sell some junk at your guild store.
2 - subscribe, get the crafting bag and let ZOS become an enabler for your problems.

The bag increases will eventually come. But do I think non-subscribers need it RIGHT THIS MOMENT because subs are about to get one? No. Not in the least bit. Whats the sense of paying every month if I can simply go to the store and buy up 400 more bag spaces? There is none. Most could easily do the math and see that its cheaper to go with the 400 space option and be able to make out fine then to go with the unlimited space option.

There have already been multiple increases to inventory since game release. In addition to increases to bank and bag space many items had stack size increased to 200. Provisioning was revamped, and that also mitigated bag space. Finally, all mount attributes were consolidated so any increase to mounts applied at all times instead of just when riding one particular horse. Sure, bag space is still an issue. but with existing inventory across 8 character slots, the only reason for not enough space is an inability to prioritize. On top on that, if you really want more space without a subscription, you'll soon be able to buy more character slots.

I think if you've maxed out your bank and the inventories of all eight of your characters and you feel like you still need space, you might be a digital hoarder.

But, you could always buy a few more character slots from the crown store for storage and max them out too.

On Xbox one we still don't get crowns and often loose access to DLC.
This is as of 15 days ago...it's still a widespread problem and as such, no it shouldn't just change how crafting bags are accessed, it should change how all DLC and account items are offered for the entire console.

Yeah... Go ahead and hold my hand on this one; walk me through it. I still don't know what you're talking about by calling some who once subbed, and then unsubs, a freeloader. Once you've invested money, its no longer free. I skimmed through everything to try and see what you mean, but I don't get it. I made this thread, and have followed it, but I've never heard of anyone calling something free if money has been spent.

I've new here. I bought the game a month or so ago, and then purchased all the DLC's. I'm going to buy the new mount coming out, and I already have the crowns purchased for the next DLC. By no means am I a freeloader. Since what we were talking about someone who unsubs, I want to emphasize that I don't consider them freeloaders either. I may understand somewhat your perspective. Someone who pays for a month of plus shouldn't get all the DLC's. I don't feel the same about those who have had it longer, though. I also think that since everyone is complaining about the Bag being the only perk, the additional perk of keeping DLC would be good for everyone.

I have recently solved my space issue. I refuse to have a mule because I want to use my character slots for characters. What I did to solve my inventory problem, was abandon all food and enchanting items. I craft my food in quantities I need using the ingredients from the guild store, and get rid of the rest. I don't ever pick up ingredients now. Also, since glyph's can be purchased, I have decided to abandon the skill line of enchanting for now. Although I can progress now unhindered, I still think it's a shame that there are entire aspects of this game that had to be eliminated for myself due to space constraints. It kind of puts a damper in the excitement of a whole world to explore, and skill lines to practice, when I have to abandon half the items i come across, and a whole skill line. It's whateves Zos.

i think this should remain with eso+ members, we need more perks for membership if you want more people to sub. Adding it to the crown store would be a bit redundant seeing how i could use the crowns granted to me by my ESO+ to buy the bag then never have to sub again.

I only have one level 33, and a level 5. Maybe that's the difference here. I don't only save V16 stuff. I am trying to fill an account with a bunch of characters and I would like my main character to be able to craft for them. I don't imagine you are saving all of the food materials, which I would prefer to do. There is food everywhere I look. Abandoning the enchanting skill line, and abandoning food collection, I have enough space to keep all of my materials. I still have to reserve my entire bank for mats, and any gear I want to keep goes in the inventory. I make gold by stealing, questing, and selling stuff on the guild store and except for a horse and some guild store items, 100% of my gold has gone to inventory and bank increases. Even my horse has only capacity upgrades. I'm doing my best to build up a main character quickly and efficiently.

Since I am new, and I just recently spent money to buy the game, buy the DLCs, buy a mount, and buy crowns waiting for Dark Brotherhood, its been particularly frustrating to hear everyone talk about non subs being freeloaders that don't deserve space for crafting materials. For V16, I imagine having space allows you to craft higher lever gear better. For me, I just want to be able to collect materials I come across to use. I think its just my play style.

From all the comments, reactions, and what I've learned so far I think ESO plus deserves a Craft Bag exclusive. Personally, I really just want to be able to hold a little bit more. I've played a lot of D2 and Diablo 3. In D2 it was not big deal to have accounts for mules. In D3, items stacked in pretty high number, and stash upgrades were available. Space wasn't really an issue. In ESO, you only get the 8 character slots, so I don't want to make a mule. Also, I feel like crafting is more essential than in the diablo series, so its more important to have crafting materials. I've seen quite a few comments from ESO plus members, saying another inventory or bank upgrade would be useful event to them. I don't feel too bad about searching for supporters.

This isn't the first time I've gotten the, "how are you running out of space?" comment. Maybe I'm missing something that would relieve my struggle; feel free to give me tips and tricks.

This entire thread is full of subs who think people who don't pay by the month are substandard people. The word freeloader may not be used specifically but it is implied. But you just said once you spend money it is no longer free. No one plays this game for free. Everyone has spent money.

Crafting bags should be available for purchase. I see no difference between them and the DLCs. You go ESOplus then you get all the stuff included. If you don't spend the 15 a month then you have to purchase off the crown store.

There are a lot of people who still play this game who subbed for a long time. These are people who spent money but now will not get the bag because they have dropped their sub and went the buy route.

I don't consider anyone a freeloader here. All have spent money. It just seems hypocritical to me that in this thread you now have people saying they should get to keep the DLCs if they stop subbing. The same people enthusiastically promoting not putting the bag on the the store.

To me it easy to see that ESOplus should be all inclusive but everything should be purchasable at the same time in a buy to play environment.

If this ruffles your feathers so be it.

I think the idea was supposed to be you will not max all crafts on one char but have just ~2-3 main crafts plus provisioning. However, due to how many skill points there are you can have an effective combat char with all crafts maxed (although you probably won't be able to get all the passives).

If you just limit your char to two professions, your inventory space issue will be easily solved. At least this is what I do, until the bottomless bag comes out, that is

EDIT: also, it might be the case that the people who have all crafts maxed and have plenty of space did not actually level all crafts while leveling, but rather maxed some skills only after capping. This makes is a way more efficient when it comes to inventory

I seen a developers conference a while back, and they were going over the best selling items in their stores, these were free to play games, like LOTRO and a few other companies were there but all were mmo's the number one seller across the board was bank space, backpack space, huge money makers,

I could see them breaking the craft bag down and selling them as individual bags, say your a blacksmith, you buy the bag that holds related crafting resources for blacksmith, where the ESO plus customers get the complete bag like it is now.

ESO's store is very tame compared to most other games and I am glad to see that and hope it stays that way, I looking forward to the day they offer more services like name changes and such.

Realistically, there's no difference between these two groups seeing as subs can also stop spending cash very quickly.

I am pretty sure there is a reason that ZOS has the model they do. I would guarantee that they have analytics that show the amounts of money customers spend. I would say that those numbers show that a lot of non subscribers buy the 5500 crown packs at DLC release. 5500 crowns = 40 dollars. Release a DLC every quarter. Subs are paying 39 to 45 dollars (depending on subscription length) with the non subscribers paying 40 dollars.

Now I am sure that this will be disputed by some saying that you don't have to buy the 40 dollar crown pack to get the DLC which is true. But the greatest value for your money is the 5500 crown pack.

I would say their metrics back this up. Everyone is spending about the same amount of money for game access. Now you will have people who spend more or less on crowns. However, I would argue that the ones who spend less are on the low side of the graph.

If this wasn't the case then the model ZOS uses would be different.
