In the meantime stam dps gets buffs with the improved well fitted trait for their dodge mania lol

This is what baffles me. Medium armor keeps roll dodge cost reduction, and they get a trait to reduce roll dodge cost.

Heavy armor gets block cost reduction removed, and justification is we get a trait?!

    Totes fair.

I would like they to explain what is wrong if they do NOT apply this changes.Since they are defending the changes so bad, makes you think that something will go horrible if they dont apply the changes.

Well atleast they swapped shield expert after leaving us in the dark with the last patch...
also looks like they still don't give a *** about feedback.

With poisons being added I still don't see much use for HA in PvP it's like you survive longer to be drowned in poisons and blown up by certain sets. You just won't last long enough for the passives to be of use and if you do your abilitys are going to cost a silly amount.

PvE wise I'd need to test it on fights where I'm keeping the Daedroth's and wraiths alive or a bloodfiend boss just to see how long I would last.

    Hey guys.
Remember that time Zos totally screwed tanking (again) and we all showed them how awful it was and we fought and fought throughout the whole DB PTS and still we were ignored and given a really bad explanation that ran off a lot of bad assumptions then ignored again?

    That was a good time.

    I'll miss tanking.

    He did.

And, in short, it was something along the lines of, "This is why we made these changes, but our decision is final, deal with it."

The upside is that it reveals their reasoning and gives us an opportunity to point out the flaws (specifically, they tuned numbers around cases where people have maxed block cost reduction, but since cost reduction has severely diminishing returns on the extremes, it means the changes they make a far more muted effect). Whether they actually take heed to those criticisms remain to be seen, but it's looking like a resounding "no".

No i actually mean a final feedback thread to wrap the whole situation up.
Blocking and resource management are important but there is more at the tanking role/heavy armour.

I've had to drop two spell damage glyphs from my sap tank and replace them with the block cost jewelry to keep Stam up on my sap tank.

What on earth was ZoS thinking when removing bracing??! And moving block cost to the green tree for even less resources?!! They've lost their minds

I never actually understood the need for tanks to have Spell or Weapon damage enchants.

You are TANKS dammit! You should contribute to your group in other ways, not by doing damage.

That being said, my NB tank performs exceptionally well with Bahraha/Leeching/Malubeth combo.
    And Shield-play enchantments. DUH.

A sap tank needs to contribute strong heals and damage to make up for their lack of cc's. A minimum 10k dps and 20k execute. Hence the spell damage glyphs.

That is why I think that Bahraha is a must have on NB tanks. It provides at least some kind of snare.
And believe me, if you use Malubeth, and CP accordingly, you won't need to have high Spell damage.
At that point, the only thing that Spell damage contributes to is group DPS, since you would be overhealing yourself most of the time.

So, after taking a look at the new Patch Notes for PTS today, Tanks have been nerfed even more.

Remember when Wrobel told us that if we wanted block cost reduction to use Jewelry.. well, Footman's has the Shield play enchantment that would reduce the cost of Blocking which helped make up for the nerfs.. Well, now in these patch notes, they have nerfed that jewelry set from 12% to 8% block cost reduction.

[*]Footman’s Fortune: Reduced the amount of block mitigation provided by this item set to 8%, down from 12%.
    [/list]

Seriously beginning to think they really want to kill the Tanking roll.

Far too many characters to list any more.

The 5 piece is damage mitigation, not block cost reduction though. Doesn't really have anything to do with block cost reduction jewelry.

They did the same nerf on the Ward of Cyrodiil set last DLC - this change is just bringing it in line with that change.

Btw guys... has anyone found a Black Rose set with sturdy?

I noticed Tel Var sets don't drop in sturdy, nirnhoned, training and prosperous (and impenetrable, but that is directly buyable).

So two useless endgame traits I understand got left out, but is there a reason why tanking traits got left out as well?

The whole in-depth calculation thread @Wrobel made just got knee deep in Guar poop because his whole calculation revolved around CPs and Sturdy.

Nope. Sturdy is not in the loot table. I already mention this in PTS but @Wrobel dosnt listen.

Put points in, it is a handy boost. Would be nice if it gave just a tad more of a damage boost though.

I must be the exception that is liking heavy armor more- it is the first time I've enjoyed building my characters around heavy armor for quite some time!

Not having to, by the luck of the draw, receive Sturdy gear from the atrocious loot pool would be a much handier boost.
