Are you kidding me man? Magicka Sorcs have the best burst in the game. Sure they have no spammable DPS (btw neither do stamsorcs other than weapon abilities, and if you want one as a mag sorc, use destro) but they do NOT need a spammable DPS.
Right there boys, I've spotted the not so rare ignorant forum poster.
So A. the best burst award goes to nightblades
and B. who cares about PvE, right? It's not like Sorc has the absolute lowest PvE DPS or anything.
By the way, "use a destro" is just pidgeonholing us into having less build variety.

@ZOS_GinaBruno
Dear God please no, This is good for my PvP setups since I can allocate some left over CP in my warrior tree so I can dodge roll for days but my PvE tank setup would lose so much. I love the increase shield armor passive this tree provides so what am I going to put it in? Spell resistance? Like seriously please change this back to block reduction.
GoodOlPinkly wrote: »sunshineflame wrote: »Why all the complaints about a nerf to blocking? All I saw was in increase in block cost reduction from 30% to 36% and 1% more on your gear. That makes a potential total of 13% more reduction. Am I missing something, because that sounds like a buff.
They took our 20% from bracing and now block cost reduction is now in the Green CP tree not the Red which is WTH
So tanks can have reduced blocking cost and reduced damage at the same time? Honestly that sounds a great deal to me.
As for the Shield Expert passive... that needs rethinking with this switch I agree.

What the actual ***? And if you have to make this completely unnecessary change, at least move shield expert with it. This change really falls under the "If it ain't broken, lets break it!" mentality.
OR they intend to make tanks choose to focus more on being tanks?
Have you ever tried tanking? Have you seen the magicka cost of chains and range taunting? Have you seen the stamina cost of low-slashing and piercing? Tanking in PvE is a resource game, and we we have relatively small resources pools to begin with since we need health and we need both magicka and stamina pools. Reallocating green points into block hurts our utility costs. Those green points are useful for everyone, not just for DPS.

Why range taunt gap close and use the cheap Melee taught, you don't need to use that much magic you choose to lean on magic to recover stamina. You can go max health and stamina recovery and be just fine.
Low-slash? You get 25% of damage dealt as splash damage to two enemies near your target with Deep Slash weak on a tank or ultimate over 9 seconds with Heroic Slash why would you be using this more then once every 9 seconds for maximum ultimate generation.
Does anyone know what is the flat value of health restored by critical hits on Surge? Is it dependent on maximum magicka and/or spell power, or is it just based on your level? Any numbers?

@Feynn Power Surge gives flat value of 1980 health, it doesn't scale off anything as far as I tested. Procs every second as long as you crit.

We’ve continued to make some improvements to the available character templates:
- Character templates now have at least one wayshrine unlocked in every non-DLC zone.
- Added a new item, The Crafter's Rune Crate, to the contents of The Ultimate Crafting Crate. This new crate contains 200 of every type of rune, and there are 10 of these crates in each Ultimate Crafting Crate.
...
Restoring Light
Extended Ritual (Cleansing Ritual morph): This morph now also increases the amount of negative effects cleansed from the casting Templar to 5 from 2.
...
One Hand and Shield
Fortress: Increased the block cost reduction from this passive ability to 18/36% at Ranks I/II from 15/30%.
...
Potency runes can once again be obtained from runestones!
Each harvestable runestone is guaranteed to contain an Essence and an Aspect rune, and one third of the runestones you find will also contain a Potency rune.

Nope, he's pretty much correct...Magicka Sorcs have some the absolute best burst in the game rivaling Nightblades.
and Sorcs can put out some of the best PvE DPS in the game....
and Use a destro isn't pidgeonholding you, Its one of the TWO magicka based weapons...The only other weapon setup you can run is DW, and you want to do that because how powerful it is..and its only balanced cause it doesn't give you access to a spammable instant cast nuke.

Yeah, I'm sure it is deliberate. What I don't understand is why they would make one crafting profession function in a completely different way to all the others. It's inconsistent with what we have learnt about how crafting materials are distributed, and that's what I think is crazy.lordrichter wrote: »Unless this is a bug, I am pretty sure they won't realize this is a "crazy suggestion". For one thing, it would be deliberate, so they would obviously think this is a great idea.Right. They've either thought about this already, and it's already on the board, with this being the first stage of rollout, or they will realize that it's a crazy suggestion and will see that doing that exact thing to potency runes is just as crazy. If this is the ultimate plan for crafting, we should encourage them to stop it now, before it goes any further. If they want people to engage in crafting, making it harder for that to happen by restricting what mats can be gathered from the world is certainly not going to help.lordrichter wrote: »Please. Don't go suggesting crazy things. Bah, what am I saying. I am sure there is someone in the studio that would love to do this and this is already on the white board. The only way this would be a fair compromise is if they changed all water, ore, wood, and clothing nodes so that they also always scaled to level/passive regardless of what zone you're in.

Nameplates & Health Bars
- Added nameplate and healthbar settings for neutral NPCs. Note that these are off by default.
- Readjusted the size of the health bars so they are more consistent with other meters.
- Added two keybinds for toggling nameplates and healthbars on and off, which are unbound by default.
- The icon displayed above a revivable player character is now less transparent.

This is not what you want?Maelstrom Arena
Improved the rewards for Maelstrom Arena so now every level of the Arena is guaranteed to grant a set item.
Note: The only exception is the final Arena on Veteran mode, which may still drop a Maelstrom Weapon instead.
Maelstrom Arena leaderboard rewards are now guaranteed to contain a Maelstrom Weapon, and have an additional 50% chance to award a piece of Jewelry as well.
Expanded the weapons awarded through the Maelstrom Arena leaderboard to include a wider variety of Traits, including Nirnhoned.

So - you're either;
1. completely ignorant of the facts about sustained Sorc PvE dps
2. an anti-Sorc. agenda'ist because of Sorcs having second best burst in PvP (which is far more easily dodged...)
3. working for ZOS...
