The skill entirely has to go away, its way too easy to get kills with it. It does 50% of the job and every noob just standing there and channeling it finishes you off that easy. It's like the noobish wb spam. There is no counterplay to it.
It should be like: If someone interrupts u during the beam, u explode for 50% of ur own health.
But noobfriendliness bringts numbers, so no... they won't change it.

Its not just bash. Crushing shock, poison arrow, purge, purifying ritual, cloak, every heal when you are above 50% plus block. Every class and build has access to at least one counter to it. As long as there are not several people using the beam on you this will work. If you are outnumbered against a group with at least two Templars then you will probably die anyway.
The comparison with impale doesn't really hold since it's an instant cast with much less counters (block, dodge). So would you mind to stoptrying to ruin PVE skills that are important to keep Templars on par with other DPS?

The worst part of this fricken skill is theres always one A-hole standing way back behind 10 others chain casting it on you nonstop while the other 10 are beating on you.
Such a weak move.

Hey I'm that one A-holeI'm addicted to salt and rage tells, this is fastest way to get both >:D
All I seem to read about this skill is people in outnumbered situations like you said standing at the back of an 8 man group getting beamed. Well in a situation like that, you're gonna die anyway. What difference does it make, were you expecting to take on 8 people at once and survive?
There are countless posts sayin 1v1 and small scale it's fine but in zergs it's a problem, therefore it depends on the situation.

Its also the quickest way to make you look like a total zergbad with absolutely no skill whatsoever. Stand way back, no recourse or risk at all, apply and just stand there. Seems legit.
Especially when the target is a fully shielded sorc with full health and resources, and your whole gameplan is to just keep it on them the entire time someone else actually fights them. Weak.
Not so op. 5 second long combo with 2 hard casted and one channelled spell. You can dodge first two with one dodge roll at max range. Only good as stealth opener.

I guess I don't understand the defense of a skill which is 41m, undodgeable, execute with a (easily) >11k tooltip.
Flame noodle wants to compete, but can't. Even at 100% HP

This destroys entire functionality of templar ranged dd build. I like my dark flare+dark flare+beam combo when i play. So no

Couple this with changing the execute to only starting to scale from 30%, and I think it will be much better then the current Jesus Beam.
EDIT: Contextual errors.
