What looked promising has now digressed into ego stroking. Way to go fellas~
My tanking setup is:
2x bloodspawn (helm and shoulder, heavy armor and both reinforced.)
5x Tava's blessing (chest, legs, boots, gloves heavy armor and all have the increase armor trait.)
(Belt, medium armor reinforced.)
3x Pact (sword, shield and the amulet is pact choker.) 10% ulti reduction.
2 x ring of agillity/endurance (depending on what I need most stamina or health).
Mundus attronach for the magicka regen.
heroic slash, elude/evasion, ignious weapons or ignious shield. those skills all help building up ultimate for tanking.
Also the ignious shield only not boost yourself and the group every time you cast it you will gain 5% stamina back what is actually quite nice if you have a lot of magicka to use since you are using the attronach mundus stone.
With this setup you maximizes your ultimate output by a lot so you can play really offensive putting out a lot of warhorns or be really defensive and tanky going for that quick magma shell where you have 10s 3% max damage per hit. so if you are a bit of lucky you can get your ultimate back up in 25 seconds. Sadly its not all to reliable because you got to maintain your buffs and you have to be a bit lucky with the bloodspawn procs. Also if bosses/adds have certain mechanics while they are not hitting you for awhile you also lose a bit of ultimate regeneration. In almost all fights I have a new warhorn ultimate before the buff runs out.
I am still having a few sets in mind I want to test out.
You still feel potentates is worth it? I tried it post patch and still prefer my footman. Lord knows I want to get rid of footman... been wearing it since 1.5 and haven't washed it yet.
Really sucks that a new fun thing got fixed directly, creative of OP to try some new things out. Especially since almost everyone including myself runs the same tanking sets.

Nothing compares to the unique group buff that akatosh gave. Easily bis
Because a mantikora missing a massive aoe stomp on 12 players is totally not broken and ridiculously overpowered. I mean miss chance on the tank, sure, but on the entire raid? No, that does not even make sense.
So you thought the build was ridiculously overpowered but you previously gave indications that it wasn't the baddest build that was ever used. I'm excited to hear what you think was the baddest build that was ever used because it must be just godlike.
Alright, so first of all, read what I wrote. I said it is stupid to rely on a set that relies on a bug. The set is NOT op, the bug is op. Furthermore I don't have the baddest tank build, my ego does not stretch that far. I have a tank build that works for me. I don't claim it is op, I don't post it and I don't care. I just laugh when someone claims to have the best build, the Kanye West of tanking.

I basically said it right there, but if literacy is not your strongest point I'll be more precise: I am not the best tank and I don't know who might be.
But I love the fact your arguments ran out and you start to involve my personal life. Shall I make some spelling mistakes in my next post? Then you can correct those.

Yeah, and still you behave like a child being rude and all. Your answer right here shoves just that, how immature your argumentation is, and just by answering the way you do proves my point exactly. The irony

I don't think anyone in the forum has missed that you play in the guild Hodor and how you and your guild mates think about yourselves, the point being is that you are really rude just because of that. If you are so good and all that, can't you be nice and share your knowledge without ranting down on others? A good example of people that doesn't have to do all that and still is a very good player is the very same Nifty that you for some reason seem to have to carp down on.
The whole "discussion" with you guys starts out when you obviously has to tell how bad the world and all tanks is for using engine guardian. How about some constructive help for the people having sustain issues instead of "all tanks that uses engine guardian don't know how to manage resources"?

You risk getting nerfed. This is why [REDACTED] was allowed to use their pvp invinicibilty mitigation exploit/bug for so long. They did not make a public build post explaining the details.

Exactly why explain everything I can online. Exploiters need to go home.

tanking in this game is very simple - for trials
5 histbark/armor master
5 footman
2 bloodspawn
variants of that include
2 robot
2 lord warden
every tank i see on NA, most of them are using 2 robot, because it's free regen, who gives a *** if deltia uses it, who cares who uses it, it's free resources.
2 blood spawn isn't that great after it's nerf but meh, if you want to be old school go ahead and use it
2 warden i hear it's got a buff, i still haven't checked it out
it's got absolutely nothing to do with resource management, but I highly doubt anyone in a raid setting with constant raid buffs, shards, siphon, block reduction, armor, etc etc. I do not think that person is going to get low on resources, but it's good to keep topped up for whatever reason and robot allows that.
Just because you "conquered" all trials last update because there was virtually no competition at all between NA and EU because no one really cares about outdated trials, so you can thank ZOS for ruining the *** out of PvE competition. It means literally nothing to me that you are top of the leaderboards this patch. 2 of those trials are VR12, one of them is VR14. we are VR16.
